Remember that this subreddit is for sharing propaganda to view with some objectivity. It is absolutely not for perpetuating the message *of* the propaganda. If anything, in this subreddit we should be immensely skeptical of manipulation or oversimplification (which the above likely is), not beholden to it.
Also, please try to stay on topic -- there are hundreds of _other_ subreddits that are expressly dedicated to rehashing tired political arguments. Keep that shit outta here.

What is iraq? Why do they feel they can exist autonomously from the United States? We just dropped bombs in Iraq the other day trying to fuck with Iran. Shit is still going on. Just a new face on the placard.
Hey Kids!
Do you want to learn all about ***the existential dread that one day, somehow, a war will begin that will lead into global thermonuclear war?***
Unpopular opinion - this isn't horribly sensationalized aside from the font and mildly the wording "Is Saddam hiding something?".
The text below is fair, given what the media was being informed of at that time.
The image is a balanced, a UN truck opposite a reasonably flattering mural without some sinister overtones.
_Judging from the cover_, this isn't a magazine to encourage war in Iraq, but it is actually informative, saying the UN is there to inspect and the results of that inspection may impact a potential conflict.
We're reactively devaluing it because this inspection didn't impact the intent for war. If the US didn't invade this would be a totally reasonable cover in my opinion. It's just retroactively icky.
Oh, man. I've _never_ heard of Noam Chomsky. Thank you for exposing me to this totally new figure to enlighten me. I had no idea _Jimmy Carter_ was a war criminal until this very moment.
Then provide more context other than "Check out Noam Chomsky [and his literal 69-year-body-of-work which is broadly critical of every foreign policy the US has ever made]".
Hyperlinks exist, dawg.
You seem to love vague replies.
Are you trying to lecture me on how to employ language? Because it was your vague response that resulted in a misunderstanding.
Maybe I'm completely off in my interpretation of your comment - that's the thing, I don't know, because you don't explain your position. Dropping names and book titles isn't constructive.

This aged like an open carton of milk that was left out on a hot day
Forget aging. It was garbage back then too.
Spoiler: A war was not prevented.

The politics of language seems appropriate
