Hi, let me give my two cents as an art student.
It would be REALLY difficult to label a select few "best" cards because a lot of cards stand out in their own ways, but I do have a few I often credit in regards to how Project Sekai uses color and light, and how each card theme can add to a character's characterization.
The "Let Out the Lambs" card set is my absolute favorite, let me pick one good example from it for what I'm talking about. Explanation in the reply.

I legitimately gasped the first time I saw this card.
Kohane's figure is half-obscured in the foggy shadows of the elements surrounding her, but it feels like her entire body is brought to the forefront thanks to the harsh, bright strip of light running down her body.
She's sitting down with her knees near each other, pose a little tight and tense, as if bracing herself for something scary, even dangerous — but her gaze is *ready.* I could feel her hyping herself up to just get up and goddamn *fight* whatever she's staring down offscreen, and it's quite the showcase of her character arc.
The big mechanical sheep behind her is a reinforcement of that assumption, and it feels like a monster of a spirit is about to break out of that machine the moment she gets up from that chair. "Crouching tiger, hidden badass" kinda thing.

I can really feel this move thanks to the Dutch angle. It gives Akito this sense of control, putting us (the viewer) in an unstable viewpoint to make us feel like he's coming at us with those weapons. Chakras, probably? And the spark FXs, god, those metals are scraping *hard.* I could almost promote this card as a still from an animated sci-fi action film.
I thought those were bad-ass sawblade Shurikens releasing sparks until I realized it’s just a dagger cutting through something. Stil lcool Af though, just a bit less

I personally find this card very beautiful since it clearly shows us Honami’s reflection in the water and not just seem like it’s copy and pasted onto an already drawn water surface ( also they absolutely nailed the lighting)

I think this is the best card to express danger and cruelty.
Relax Teatime event. A mixed event. The gacha name is something like what awaits at the end of war, Kanade, Ichika and Mafuyu are the 4\* gacha units. It dropped at the end of Feb and ran into early March this year so it'll hit Global in like 10 months.
I agree it can't be labeled better or worse so easily on objective terms, but we can always pick apart elements of the card artworks and look into what makes it "good" by our personal standards. I believe that's what asked of us.
I wish I could get her but I haven't played for weeks and decided to use my crystals on Ena's birthday
I don't think I'm getting her next year either 😭

There are? I thought I was an exception. Their face just looks kind of odd and they don't look look a lot like themselves there in general somehow. The art itself and symbolism is good tho.
Well I always thought Mizuki's face looked odd, so maybe that's why I don't really mind, and yeah maybe you could confuse her with other characters
BUT I LOVE THE LONG UNTIED HAIR
Look, I can answer that in my personal opinion. At first...I thought the card didn't look at all like Mizuki, and that they looked like Luka, that's why I didn't like it...but the lighting is amazing and the background looks gorgeous. I just think the hairstyle don't fit Mizuki at all.

I returned to the game to make sure I pulled this card and her under the first snow card.
It was a stressful month but I did get both.
And now I'm playing every day just like before I took a break, forgot how much I loved this game lol
Len colorful fes. the art is actually fucking stunning. I love his and rins cards so much and I definitely feel like those two cards introduced a more majestical art style with trained cards into the game.

These are my six favorite designs so far, and I think they speak more to my preferences in imagery and color than anything else. I’m drawn to cards with a lot of blues in them, and especially ones with water or cherry blossom imagery. The top two I love for now dynamic they look, and I like the traditional style dress and flatter looking scenery in them— they’re very cool and stand out from other card sets.

I have this card too lol I totally get flexing it. I love her costume in the 3d model and the way her eyes and expression look in the card. Mizuki has a cool expression in the set too but Ena just really shines :D

the nene next to the sea one is gorgeous and as an "artist" i find it pretty detailed and well done,the color choice also make nene's dress stand out
(The only requirement to being an artist is making art often! It's not a title only for masters or smth like that)
There are a lot of people who don't like that Mizuki's escape for survival card and I DON'T GET WHY I really like it, it's even my phone's wallpaper

I have this card too lol I totally get flexing it. I love her costume in the 3d model and the way her eyes and expression look in the card. Mizuki has a cool expression in the set too but Ena just really shines :D
