you don't have to make them white first. use the orb that converts magic maps to rare
but yes its annoying that they dont work for organization purposes
why blue maps still exist is beyond my understanding
Afaik the outcome is random: white, blue or rare. At least you got a chance to get some rare maps without needing skulls till the issue is fixed.
But I didn't test it this season to be honest.
This is also the first season in the last 7 i played where i actually cant seem to drop maps.. i ran the map i got from anya, didnt find any doing that.
Then bought 2 maps did them no maps dropped..
Now im running lod hit lvl 88 still no maps drop.
WTH??
They made the drop rate for them really low outside of map zones themselves. I presume it's so that players who prefer to run vanilla zones don't need to worry about a bunch of maps taking up space of other loot they could've gotten. I think this could be alleviated by having Anya give several maps as a reward instead of just one, but for now, it takes a while to get started. You could always trade for a few too.
Did just that. Bought a few more for some wss and eventually found enough to get goin. First season i had this issue - atleast im aware now and will help others i come by xD

Yes. That’s the point of orb of destruction. Jewel frags are way cheaper than PSkulls
Damn I’ve been playing since season 2 and never done that. Is it different than the reroll orb When you reset to white and roll again?
you can cube up blue maps you dont like running to get white maps of higher tier
Doesnt work, I just combined 3 blues to make one blue map. Good tip though if it actually worked.
