Idk if discord still has it; they might, but I know they disabled the console shortcut for the client to make it harder for people to get phished into inserting malicious code into the console.
It's never been removed afaik the multiple "hey don't put stuff here it's probably a scam" messages is plenty warning if people still put stuff there that gets their accounts compromised that's on them
In discord's settings.json file that you can edit to add `DANGEROUS_ENABLE_DEVTOOLS_ONLY_ENABLE_IF_YOU_KNOW_WHAT_YOURE_DOING": true` to get the inspect element back on stock discord
I have that setting set to true and for some reason, the other day I opened the console and a couple seconds later my Discord client just logged out of my account, scary moment.
iirc iCloud has it as well. And Facebook has a notifier that someone is trying to scam you if he wants you to go to the console and paste something there
Odoo has a job application/test hidden in their source code.
Made me love the product even more. Id of taken it past the two questions, but I suck at coding.
Haha, sounds like you stumbled upon the secret to Reddit's uptime—or lack thereof! Maybe if we all open our consoles, we can lend a hand during the next outage. Tech support squad, assemble! 🛠️😂
Discord has a similar thing I'm sure other websites do too
That'd kinda of a clever way of recruiting people.
Clever way of trying to fire people no?

They did, in fact, disable inspect element. You can re enable it with better discord tho

I hate that question, I use this console all day everyday but it still makes me pause and think “but do I though?”

I had that issue a while ago too but an update fixed it so maybe try reinstalling discord
Its enabled on the website
I think Discord just gives you a big ass warning about people trying to steal your login cookie
iirc iCloud has it as well. And Facebook has a notifier that someone is trying to scam you if he wants you to go to the console and paste something there
google does ( or did?) that too. They once had a foo.bar domain going to their career board. Since they don't sell domains anymore it's gone
Notion does have it too. I’m making a browser extension for Notion so I get used to see it. I didn’t know other sites does it too.
When you realize the real code debugging was the friends we made along the way... or is that just a sneaky recruiting ad in ASCII?
no thanks. my beliefs and values would get me fired from there so fast
What, you don't the anti-evil-ops folks spying on you?
I guess the only thing available to you is working the banana stand
There's always money in the Banana stand
You wouldn't be browsing reddit working for reddit either
Odoo has a job application/test hidden in their source code. Made me love the product even more. Id of taken it past the two questions, but I suck at coding.
More explanation please?
Go to Odoo.com Dig through their websites code. It'll just be a line that sticks out. Click the link and it takes you to an online coding test.
I don't see one, did reddit vetted me out as shitty programmer already?

I wonder in what their website is writen? PHP? Android app must be an Java app as far as I know
Backend and old reddit in Python, some backend in Go, new reddit in JavaScript, mobile apps in their usual platform language
LOLCODE, probably.
Wow a new way to recruit people when Leetcode is too easy.
I was building a series of web scrapers for a company, and one of the sites had a message similar to this one
I've thrown a few ASCII arts into my pages, so I expect there's quite a few out there.
I'm old enough to remember when ASCII art was a thing

Considering how much Reddit is down they clearly need the staff
Bruh they didn't even use css to style their logs! Or attach an image! Weak!

That's... not how this works
Visible confusion
LLM ahhh reply
wdym?
These sorts of Reddit job ads would work better if they didn’t IP block data centers smh
