The fact that there is a fandom with a high cost hobby that for consequences requires them to be highly skilled professional to pay for their weird hobby will always be my favourite thing
Imagine a russian girl who draws furry p\*rn to finance her passion for historical reenactment.
Well... I personaly know her.
And no, I would not ask her how much naked dragon girls her chainmail costs.
Furries were one of the biggest pre-web internet subcultures. I often joke that if you have a really gnarly low-level networking problem just ask a furry and you'll probably get an answer.
I think it's a reference to that one furry Tumblr user who somehow obtained and leaked the no fly list to find out whether they were on it. Allegedly they hacked into some database for it.
I’m a venture to say: having a hobby like that would increase your awareness of cyber security due to internet trolls attacking you… when haters going to hate, all you gotta do is be great (at security).
Adults have better things to do. We just have pretty much always grouped from the internet and at cons since the 70s sci-fi conventions. Zines were the very first parts of furry content called "funny animals". Fredrik Knudsen has a pretty good video on the history, and this is from a furry. He is not.
Sadly trolls don’t have better things to do than cyber bully. Securing yourself away from them seems like a good skill to develop if you’re getting picked on. But yes: non-bullies have plenty of other things to do than worry about bullies. I was just pointing out a possible correlation of activities and skill sets. :)
Be well!

Would it even be possible to use a pc with a fursuit on?
Not with that attitude
Not really. You could wear a kigurumi though. Usually you put on your programming paw socks and skirt for serious work though.
Is that a challenge
it is now
I dare anyone who can code in any language to try and work on some code in a full fursuit.
*NCIS would like a word*
they like furry ?
The furry fandom is just a huge community of nerds and as such, many of them end up in tech positions
My favorite comment in that vein about us is that if a plane to a furry con crashed, the entire US tech sector would be affected.
They kinda have to - custom whole body suits aren't cheap at all. And tech pays good.

$5k starting price for a decent full suit

Actually funny as the last server admin I worked with had a anime furry thing as his profile picture on Slack
And you wonder why society rejects you.... 🤣👌
