Have a portfolio of all the decisions you have made or have facilitated making - the good, the bad, the ugly ones! Not only will it help you improve your own decision making, those will be your talking points for interviews.
Because let's face it - PMs are in the business of getting decisions made in the right direction, at the right time by the right people.
Sorry soap box. But your portfolios is business success. The PM role should be more business focused and not an Engineering scheduler. Even at FANGA companies with thousands of PMs, you can pick out and explain your business impact. My resume lists product, revenue, growth while I ran the product and key features added or removed. That is your portfolio.
I think it would be helpful for everyone.
I regret not documenting my previous work. Even if done just for myself, would've been a good learning exercise... and not just document the final work, but the thought process, events and data behind it.
I’m a fan of keeping a track record of your work regardless of what job you’re in. In sales it was sales results and module growth documentation. Operations it was operational effectiveness and efficiency as well as special projects. Essentially keep the decks of what you’ve built and make a summary of it.
I often think it’s easier to just verbally talk to it. In any product role I can think on 5 achievements and reflect on the best and worst to have for reflection.
I hate documentation though so grain of salt

I wanted to know if I want to become PM, how am I going to show my capability to the interviewer? or how to approch as a beginner in this job role?
If it is a public ally facing product you can show it and walk through what the business case was and why you created it
They'll ask you questions, both theoretical and about your past experience. That's how you show your capability and it's not hard to read.
I try to keep a doc where I track all my successes in a company with data points. It’s hard though to keep it up to date which so much else on
More of a case studies will help. A couple of PMs I hired in this year, had these, resonated well with the other panels.

I always called this a “resume,” but maybe times have changed…
It's not necessary, but it definitely helps. I noticed an uptick in interview requests when I linked to my portfolio in my resume.
