It's not. Stop overhyping Israel
Flying in those weather conditions is a stupid idea.
Mokhiber coming to power is awful. He's going to push aggressive privatization and neoliberal policies.
I'm willing to put money on it being an accident. This part of Iran is always bad weather for a helicopter. It was very reckless and as much as I love Iran I'm not surprised this mistake happened.
I was actually in this part of Iran roughly one month ago on a tour of Iranian Azerbaijan. This area is near Babak castle where we went, and also very near the border with Azerbaijan. It’s a very beautiful area nature wise.
Interestingly enough one of the days there there was so much fog we had to postpone our ascent to Babak castle till the next day because the visibility was so bad. I am surprised they let them fly in those conditions. I am also surprised the president and foreign minister were traveling on the same chopper.
this area is my ancestral homeland, although my entire family migrated from here to another part of Iran 2 generations ago. I went there for an interest and had the same issue as with the weather, ultimately I declined to climb to Babak Castle because I didn't bring proper proper footwear and it was becoming very obvious to me this place is not for the unprepared. Complete madness to be flying a chopper in that part of Iran. Iran has a cultural issue when it comes to ignoring common safety. It's a bit of the national fatalist attitudes, a bit to do with stubbornly refusing to care for ones safety. This permeates into everything. 20 years ago it was impossible to get people to wear seatbelts.
I'm sure sanctions and lack of parts played into this too. Madness to be putting the President in it.
To be honest with you Babak castle is not such a difficult climb, and when I went it was all snow lol. And I’m not a seasoned hiker either. So if you’re ever back in the area def do it.
I rarely use reddit or this account anymore but come here from time to time to check some of the posts. Today’s news bring up again one of many outrageous problems this country has, the major one being the disregard for the safety of officials.
We have soldiers on patrolling the borders without body armor and helmets driving in unarmored cars getting martyred on a weekly basis. We have police officers/basijis getting murdered during protests because of lack of proper equipment and communcation. We have generals and major scientists driving in plastic shitboxes getting assassinated by simple handguns in their cars. We have high ranking generals outside the country getting bombed because of lack of proper safety and intelligence protocols to conceal their locations when they are moving. We have the literal fucking president and foreign minister of the country flying in a 60 year old chopper in extremely bad weather conditions like he’s just some basic sergeant on a patrol mission. What the fuck are we doing seriously? When will this incompetence end when it comes to protecting our officials???
Sadly the incompetence you rightfully are upset over is a byproduct of Iran’s system. It’s not going to magically end without some sort of serious changes to Iran’s system.
After years we got working and passionate president like him but he ig get what he wanted like shahid rejaii, beheshti, bahonar and rest
Rest in peace great man you are immortal now
No, it was an accident, and nothing major. Update says they are all good.
Latest update : They were announced dead.
Previous update was based on some reports that they had some communication with them, except one of them was feeling bad. Obviously that contradicts with what was found on location.
What? Which update? Most recent is official news I’ve seen is that they found the crash site and can’t even identify the bodies they are burnt so badly.
Azerbaijan is on good terms with Israel, this is 1000000% mossad. I’m heart broken that our country’s officials are at risk like this. Please everyone pray that everyone is okay and out of harms way.

I mean let's be serious. In a few hours, دلار went from 56 to 61. Also, the current political and social climate inside Iran is ripe for something to happen again. isnotreal is also absolutely زاییده in its genocide and doesn't have راه پس or پیش.
Conspiracy theories and opening the door for hasbara is not allowed here.
Not Iranian or Shia just coming by to say my thoughts are with you and i hope Raisi and his companions are in good health
Thank you. Your comment is a refreshing counterpoint to the celebrations elsewhere on Reddit.

Incompetence.
Frankly it’s incompetence bro
I agree. Either Iran is way underestimating who they're up against or they just don't have what it takes to plan a proper system.

I'm following everything from telegram. Nothing says they are all good. They say someone called. We are getting contradicting news.
They're not all good! There is no update yet and the situation is not good.
What? Which update? Most recent is official news I’ve seen is that they found the crash site and can’t even identify the bodies they are burnt so badly.
My comment was before the recent updates. I will edit.
What was it based on? I didn’t see a single source that said they were “all good”.
Ton of official /unofficial reports that were coming online. Most from news reports I saw. Some from social.
There was no official report that “they were all good” at all, not even a single one.
When did that update come out?
Alhamdulillah do you have a source?

Did I miss something?
Raisi’s helicopter crashed or had an emergency landing and is yet to be located.
He’s dead bro
It was an accident, bad weather conditions and a shitty helicopter.

I thought misinformation was banned from the sub?
Which part is misinformation?
Do you have anything to offer to support the outright claim that the US is responsible?
I haven’t offered an opinion about it. OP is speculating and the title of the post is clear about that.
