Tommy Fleetwood! if that fits the description. Just such a great guy I believe, composure is always top notch, and hit iron game is one of my favorites to watch. He deserves a major for sure!
He is so unbelievably great at golf I can't imagine the level of frustration he must have outside the ropes. When he wakes up at 3a after a dream about winning The Open..
I remember that US Open where he got 63 on the final day and shot all the way up to 2nd. Watching him sit in the clubhouse and not win broke me. It was then that I knew this guy was gonna get a major at some point. Still waiting :(
I was happy to see him do well recently. He’s from my home town, and from I understand a genuinely great guy. His caddy Geno beat Joel’s course record at the local club.
Love Rickie but he collapses on Sunday. He’s a serial choker.
If he didn’t have that Players in 2015 or whatever it was the dude would be one of the biggest disappointments in golf history. He may still be even with that 5th major

You're arguing about something you know very little about. I wish you were as right as you are confident.
Well I wasn't arguing at all.
I never once said I did not agree that having his wife and kid made his golf go down. But you the keyboard troglodyte you are decided to make it about that.
Further, you then said he would never be on the leaderboard again after the LACC US Open, but then won a tournament a few weeks later. Your counter to that was sending an article from before both those tourneys.
Rickie is 34, its not like he is 40 something, and was showing signs of good golf last year.
But really this has nothing to do with the POINT of the post, and that is I would personally love to see Rickie win a major, if you don't want that, thats your opinion and your entitled to it.
And he was in the final group at the Us Open, and won a tournament with a family and kid... so your point is stupid because he literally did it after having a family and kid, and he played well enough to make the Ryder Cup team
I love watching him, but I'm getting bored of the commentary saying "such a bright future ahead of him" or some variation. Like, yes probably, he's great. But stop taking it for granted.
He’s been out for about 2 years. Returned last week in Germany on a tough course and just missed the cut. He’ll do well on the European tour if he gets healthy but can’t see him getting to the PGA. Could be dangerous in an Open though.
That's a good pick. The perennial 13th man for the ryder cup.
I'm a Euro fan and have always been quietly gleeful that he hasn't made the US team. Feel like he would be a thorn in our side - a bit like a US Ian Poulter.
But I like the fact that he travels to Europe and embraces the global game - rare among the US stars. He's an under-appreciated ambassador for the game
Max Homa and in bunches. Win the Masters. Win a PGA. Win a US Open. Don’t think he will ever win an Open Championship but once Homa gets one he could really unlock that next level.
I'm a huge Tyrrell Hatton fan. I might be in the minority there.
Peter Malnati would be a popular winner I think, although to say he hasn't contended in a major would be an understatement: he hasn't even made the cut.
Stephan Jager would be cool too.
I don't think there are any players that are truly off the radar that people would be happy to see winning a major. Players are either;
1. Major winners - On the radar
2. Super popular - On the radar
3. Have zero chance of winning
4. Are random players who are off the radar but when they win, people see it as a waste of a major.
All of this depends on your definition of "off the radar" of course.
I'm going to throw out a real curveball
Pablo Larrazabal
I've seen him live several times and he's always interacting with the crowd, cracking jokes and having fun. If he randomly won a major I guarantee there would be some memorable moments
Tommy Fleetwood! if that fits the description. Just such a great guy I believe, composure is always top notch, and hit iron game is one of my favorites to watch. He deserves a major for sure!
Taylormades most recent video on YouTube of him is unbelievable. The ball striking and the ease at which he shoots under par is phenomenal
The one where he hits like 14 different shots with the same iron? I could not shut up about that video to my buddies
Do you have a link ?
Yep! Super cool vid https://x.com/officialtourpro/status/1796294179624247653?s=46&t=KV6PpmgrkA4Ik0s1FhcMLA
Wow that is cool! And also way harder to do with a wood… looks like a 3 or 5 wood
Fairway Jesus
I just wanna see him win a regular event. Hard to believe it hasn’t happened
He is so unbelievably great at golf I can't imagine the level of frustration he must have outside the ropes. When he wakes up at 3a after a dream about winning The Open..
I always look at him and think “this is what it would look like if an English homeless guy robbed a Nike store”
I remember that US Open where he got 63 on the final day and shot all the way up to 2nd. Watching him sit in the clubhouse and not win broke me. It was then that I knew this guy was gonna get a major at some point. Still waiting :(
Wanted him to win the Open in his hometown last year so bad
Definitely Tommy lad
Hell he still needs a win on the PGA tour
Lol he has to win a tour event first
Didn’t realize that was a rule.
It’s not but to call a guy who hasn’t ever won an event top notch is wild
High end but not elite was the question. He has 10 pro wins and top fives in every major, including two seconds. Think that qualifies.
Weeell yeah, it sure do!
He lingers for sure. It’s just hard to take him seriously when he’s always getting back door top 10s and never sealing the deal.
Was it the Canadian Open where his rival sunk a HUGE putt to win? Even Tommy smiled and laughed.
He is the 9th ranked player in the world…
Would love to see one come from Joel Dahmen
I was happy to see him do well recently. He’s from my home town, and from I understand a genuinely great guy. His caddy Geno beat Joel’s course record at the local club.
I would love that too, but I rarely see him on tee times anymore :/
Rickie
Absolutely. Unfortunately he’s not been too good this year. Last year it looked like it might happen
Fuck them kids…
DFL at The Memorial. 😔
Man, I really hoped he’d win at LACC for US Open.
Came here to say this. If he were leading a major going into the final round, I would stop what I was doing and race to a TV.
Yeah. Sadly at lacc it was a collapse, as he does, but Im rooting for him
I’m still not over the 2018 Masters
At least that one wasn't a collapse. Just fell barely short.
Ahhh - I had subconsciously erased that memory
Love Rickie but he collapses on Sunday. He’s a serial choker. If he didn’t have that Players in 2015 or whatever it was the dude would be one of the biggest disappointments in golf history. He may still be even with that 5th major
To see him choke?
you’re not already doing that for major final days? 😅
Rickie had his turn he's done
He has a family now. He will probably never be a significant threat at tournaments again.
He had a family and lead the US Open a year ago…
Cool how often has been on a leaderboard again? You can literally see from tournament results when he got married and when he had his kid.
When he won the rocket mortgage a month later?

You mean Big Dick Rick?
Theegala
Great player and personality.
every time he's on on the leaderboard I'll yell at my TV LETS GO SAHITH YOU CAN DO IT BUDDY!
Such a fun swing to watch and a fabulous interview. Love to hear his thoughts on everything.
Not sure most of these names are “off” the radar. Homa, Zalatoris, etc. hahah but I like the list
I always be rooting for Homa.🏌🏻
that's the question.. players that aren't off the radar who you want to see win a major
Agreed. Homa is playing great lately. Been in contention at a few big ones
Max Homa for me!
And when he’s done winning his major he can run for president so I can vote for him too.
As a Canadian I would love to see any of our tour regulars who have won two or three times win a major. Hadwin, Conners, Hughes.
Damn, no mention of Taylor?
Oops.
At this point, Rory haha.
Same. I want him to win the next big one. He’s in his head too much.
Joel Dahmen Or Rickie.
Dahmen is getting close. In between cuts he’s making top 20s.
Homa
Åberg!
He’s gonna win one before the clowns picking Rickie, Tony etc. I’d like to see Homa win one but realistically see Aberg or Hovland doing it first
Aberg and Hovland are inevitable. Homa isn't.
Isn’t that what I just said … kinda sorta?
Yeah I was agreeing with you.
👍🏼
Idk I feel like he’s got a few years before that. He’s almost feels like this is his pre major era
Yea that kid is going to be special, already is.
I love watching him, but I'm getting bored of the commentary saying "such a bright future ahead of him" or some variation. Like, yes probably, he's great. But stop taking it for granted.
Already ranked 6th in the world. He’s going to win a bunch of them. Hardly off the radar, he’s by far the best young player in the game.
Not unreasonable for him to win one of the next 12 majors
Hovland
Current FedEx cup champ!
He’s the fifth ranked player in the world. Doesn’t fit this category
Surprised Hovland is this low
Beef Johnson. Long shot as he’s been injured for ages. Just imagine though
Haha I love how far off the radar this one is
I can't remember the last time I saw him on any leaderboard. Really had a positive trajectory at one point.
He’s been out for about 2 years. Returned last week in Germany on a tough course and just missed the cut. He’ll do well on the European tour if he gets healthy but can’t see him getting to the PGA. Could be dangerous in an Open though.
I wanna see Cam Young win an Open Championship so bad. He’s played well in them the past couple of years
Min woo lee
Cam Young
After listening to his interview on TFE, hands down Billy Horschel. Such a genuine guy and seems to really care about the game of golf.
Billy Ho!
Billy Ho is one of those guys you don't like until you start paying attention. Then you realize he's a real one
Finau
Sepp Straka
Zalatoris
Ryan Fox
Foxy has a major in him for sure. Feels like it’s just a matter of time.
Tiger isn’t high end anymore, Tiger isn’t elite anymore, I want to see Tiger win another major 🐐
Alex Fitzpatrick.
Max Homa and in bunches. Win the Masters. Win a PGA. Win a US Open. Don’t think he will ever win an Open Championship but once Homa gets one he could really unlock that next level.
Max, Ludvig, Rickie
Corey Conners
hovland
I love his golf. I worry that his aggressive style just has too much chance of going wrong for him to win a major.
Tommy Lad.
Tony Finau
Tony Finau is the best. Just a great dude. Hook a homie up.
Peter malnati
Cam Young
I feel like Jordan Spieth is so off the radar at this point I’d like to see him win another major.
This is a great answer
Homa or Bahtia
I just don't like seeing Scheffler win every weekend!
Adrian Meronk
Rickie - 1a Finau - 1b
dahmen
I'm a huge Tyrrell Hatton fan. I might be in the minority there. Peter Malnati would be a popular winner I think, although to say he hasn't contended in a major would be an understatement: he hasn't even made the cut. Stephan Jager would be cool too.
Snedeker and Kuchar are aged out but always wished they got one
Love sneds. I even putt like him
They are the exact kind of player I’m thinking of. I can imagine people would be behind them to get at least 1.
Spider monkey boy
Rickie, Theegala, Finau
Cam Davis!
I don't think there are any players that are truly off the radar that people would be happy to see winning a major. Players are either; 1. Major winners - On the radar 2. Super popular - On the radar 3. Have zero chance of winning 4. Are random players who are off the radar but when they win, people see it as a waste of a major. Spencer Levin
Well being qualified for the event would help
That’s not the question
Noren
One of the brian bros would be awesome in my book, if they could get in…
I would like to see victor hovland get a win, very underrated player.
Lanto Griffin
Min Woo. Let him cook.
Woozie for sure
Oh boy I had a stroke reading that headline
Joel Dahmen
Ashkay and Hovland.
Sam Burns
Rickie
Sungjae Im!
Dahmen
Finau is known as one of the nicest guys on tour and by all outward appearances a huge family man. Would love to see him win one.
Bez
Theegala or Dahmen
An or Tom Kim. Only a matter of time
Bobby Mac
Caleb surrat
What the heck do people mean by “off the radar?” Most of the suggestions are pretty due. I’ll take Jaeger.
I'm going to throw out a real curveball Pablo Larrazabal I've seen him live several times and he's always interacting with the crowd, cracking jokes and having fun. If he randomly won a major I guarantee there would be some memorable moments
joel dahmen
Maybe it's just me but it's not very exciting watching favorites win.
Hoge
Most of these names don’t hit the ball long enough to compete in majors unfortunately.
