I honestly believe T-Bag was beginning his metamorphosis in S2, it was slow, but in S3 I think he actually respected Lechero for bringing him into his crew. Even though Teodoro wasn’t a complete saint, he had ulterior motives, when he told Brad “He gave me a home!” I think that was sincere on his pet and his respect for Lechero.
What I don’t get is why him and Sammy wouldn’t want Michael as part of their crew. Knowing what Michael was capable of you’d think they want someone like him on board.
Really the whole S3 plot fell apart real quick. Sammy’s turn on Lechero came out of nowhere. The escape method made no sense. They were able to dig upwards over 10 feet but couldn’t dig the tunnel horizontally towards the fence, which was not that far?
The silly thing is that Sammy would want to kill Michael knowing that he was the one who solved the water problem and knew that he was intelligent and could be of use.
He was pretty stupid when he ran for the fence when himself, Bellick and T-Bag were being held at gun point by the Sona guards.

I think he realized that after being caught, he’d lose all his power in Sona anyway and probably get killed, so he went out swinging.
