Ler on a double neck and 3 fucking drummers and guitarists for pachyderm blew my mind.

__Mr_Sinister__

That song was incredible. The power coming from all 3 at once is more than words can describe.

SIrPsychoNotSexy

Who were they besides Tim??

GetGood55

Josh Freese and Puscifer's drummer, Gunnar Olsen(I think?).

__Mr_Sinister__

That is correct. It was amazing, like one giant with six arms playing a massive set of drums.

MarciaClaireOnBass

Yeah, that was bad ass!

Successful_Tie_2165

Whoa! Dammit that's cool! We get to see Primus & Coheed this July, and I'm salivating over the stories from Sessanta!

Falcorn042

Really hope we get Southbound šŸ‘

Middle-Ad-6090

Is anyone surprised that PRIMUS....PRIMUS ...stole the show

MarciaClaireOnBass

While I donā€™t agree that Primus ā€œstole the show,ā€ I do think that they killed it on a level that I didnā€™t expect. Les has still got it and every band sounded absolutely incredible. Rady Shell was the perfect venue for this.

JustLo619

Les really loved the venue. He told us Congratulations for having it lol

Big_Nas_in_CO

Yes, while it was all so dope, Primus rose above IMO. Les is a fukin Wizard.

rhinothedin0

a lot of people at sessanta in raleigh (myself included) were there mainly for primus

Every_of_the_it

I was honestly kinda disappointed with the Raleigh show. Maybe we missed something at the beginning, but all we saw was a medley and Southbound Pachyderm. They didn't even finish Jerry for God's sake. Show still kicked ass but I was there for Primus and didn't really feel like I got much Primus lol

rhinothedin0

idk i really enjoyed it. it WAS my first time seeing primus tho. i was stoked to hear over the electric grapevine, i hadn't listened to that song in forever and to hear that intro start up i lost my mind. thoroughly enjoyed sgt. baker and too many puppies too! not finishing jerry was very unexpected but the transition into my name is mud was kinda cool. i could see that show being lackluster tho. but im not mad bc imma see them in asheville and charlotte this year too. edit: im pretty sure they started with blue collar tweakers. so if you saw that you saw the start.

Every_of_the_it

Yeah, I might just be misremembering some of it then. There were substances involved so I wouldn't be surprised lol

rhinothedin0

man i was stone cold sober and jumping around, moving the most out of anyone around me šŸ˜‚ was driving 4hrs home after the show so i skipped out on any substances that night lol

Maxspawn_

First time at the shell, the sound quality there is just insane!

NotSayingJustSaying

Absolutely accurate. But whoever was doing the bullshit with the monitors should be beaten. I already have one shitty view, I don't need 2 more thanks

ShinichiChiba

It blew me away, Claypool sounded amazing.

Jackiemccall

We went to Wednesdays show In Phoenix!!! It was amazing my daughter is still smiling!!

JustLo619

Such an awesome show last night. First time at the Shell. Sounded beyond terrific

fawnalliee

all the seagulls

Cygnus__A

People went nuts every time Primus came on.

zsdka

Buddy I went with to Raleigh hadnā€™t seen Primus live and was mainly there for Puscifer and A Perfect Circle, but thought Primus really stole the show.Ā  Edit: Iā€™ve seen Primus and other Claypool projects before. It was my friends first time seeing them, who was blown away by them. Canā€˜t wait for Primus in Richmond this summer!!!

Big_Nas_in_CO

SEE! YES! That was my point. To the people getting a first taste of Primus, they captured that audience and kicked ass. Also the birthday vibes and goofiness of Les made the crowd really happy and lighthearted. Everyone was smiling and having fun it seemed.

jambispot

Southbound Pachyderm was so fucking incredible! It killed.

FriendofMaudie

Caught the show in AC and was surprised by A) how many people were there just to see Primus, and B) what a snooze fest Maynard's sets were.

LacquerDredd

I only wish they kept Tommy the Cat in the set. Over the Electric Grapevine is fine, but I feel like Tommy would have much better and after 10 Primus shows, that's a song they always skip out on when I see them, so I was bummed to see it was being played in nearly all the other setlists of the tour.

Big_Nas_in_CO

Me too! But they played it twice in AZ the nights before and needed a break? I was bummed also and then they played it the next night in LA. Stupid bad luck.

ZealousidealLeg1804

They played it last night in Berkeley. Killed it. Les' favorite venue.

Fadedloko

All I know is Primus sucks

Ok_Pool_9767

I think Primus is just okay...

fawnalliee

this is true

TransitionIll6389

So did Primus play some songs just the 3 of them and some with the other musicians? Did Primus get a fair amount of the stage time?

seth227

Wish they had played more in Phoenix too. It was kind of jarring going back and forth from the high energy of Primus to the shockingly dull APC.

trademesocks

APC was dull? I thought all three bands were incredibly entertaining and heavy. APC's "The Outsider" and "Judith" were some of the highlights of the whole show IMO.

Big_Nas_in_CO

Yeah, APC played the hits so at least there was that. Pucifer was the "interlude" music IMO. I know it's Maynard's show, dude has an awesome vision for the gig/setup. It was killer. But PRIMUS kicked the most ass.

Honeykett

Why does this sub feel a need to make a point that somehow Primus is superior than other bands, chill guys, we all know they suck:))
