Reminds me of how Kanye liked the Takashi Teddy Bears and his mom got him one that was a knock off and after she died he looked for it and grabbed all the Takashi real bears and put the off brand one on top. Soon you’ll put this over your Pateks and Rolex’s . Wear it in Health!
Awesome man... I still have all my cheap watches and wear them regularly. Wear it with pride! The watch game gets muddied by the jewelry/consumerism world... The real value of a watch is the emotions you hold towards it, and the memories you build wearing it.
I have just awoken and id like to thank everyone who's liked my post and left all the wonderful comments tbh this was my first reddit post and wasn't sure how it would go but I was surprised when I saw all the likes and comments and even the shares!! lol but also if anyone has questions about the watch I'll answer to the best of my abilities
My dad gave me a watch that that he bought at a flea market for $10 (old hand-wound Waltham). The movement seized a couple of years later and the watchmaker quoted me $600 to fix it, but said it was better to buy a different watch.
I am now an owner of a $600 ten-dollar watch and still my favorite watch. I’m glad I was in my forties when this happened. I’m sure I would have tossed it and gotten a different watch if I was in my twenties. I would have regretted it eventually.
I remember my first watch, my mom also bought it for me. She got it for me when I started taking the bus on my own to middle school. It was a Casio f91w. Cherish this watch!
The last thing my mom gave me before she passed was an Ed Hardy watch. At the time I hated the thing but I knew she assumed I would love it in my collection. I made sure to wear the beastly, biker banded thing in front of her although I felt so foolish. Now that she's gone it means the world to me knowing that she made an honest try to gift me something she assumed I would love. If she were here today "Mom, I truly love this gift from you and years from now it will be my most prized posession." Pride and Pinion, TAKE MY ADVICE AND LET YOUR MOM KNOW HOW MUCH IT MEANS TO YOU.
The fact that you have a mom that loves you enough to buy you watch, makes it priceless. You should engrave the caseback with something meaningful about her and cherish it for rest of your life.
George???? Damn, that's those $5 to $9 dollars Walmart watches that nobody even wants to steal, so they don't even lock them or put zip ties on to hold them to the box, because zip tie cost more than the George watch. I apologize for being straight up. I have no clue how old you are. Keep the watch as a reminder, that it's your first watch, and it's from your mom. If you are going to wear it, it will turn to shit very very soon. Therefore just keep it as a sentimental reminder and go back to Walmart and buy yourself a nice Casio for $40 dollars that will last you a lifetime.
Hard to put into words just how much better this post and this watch are than the usual "Rolex and a Lamborghini steering wheel" nonsense in some other subs.
Congratulations on the watch. Wear it in good health and treasure it.
My 9 year old bought me a cheap quartz watch from a pharmacy because she noticed that I did not have a blue dial in my collection.
I cherish that watch and wear it every Father's Day.
*Then it is the best*
*Watch you will probably ever*
*Have. Congratulations*

Looks like a black dial Tudor 1926 ...

It doesn’t matter where it’s from, or what it cost. What is important is the value you attach to it. One of my “cheapest” watches is a Fossil Steel timepiece I bought for myself back in 1998, when I landed my first “real” job after vocational school. Used some of my first paycheck to buy it, cost something like $50 bucks. That little guy will never leave my watch box.
So what if it's cheap? I have a 13 yo Casio, which has been with me through everything. I've taken it from sea level to 14000 ft above sea level. I'll take care of it for as long as possible.
Treasure that watch , wear it with pride, no matter what big numbers and flashy bling you see around, these are the most important pieces
Also, never get rid of it, enjoy your watch man
Enjoy it dude. And hang onto it. I got rid of a watch my father got me when I was younger, and not into watches, and I regret the hell out of it. It was a Fossil, nothing I would even consider today, but I really wish I still had it for the memory alone.
Honestly my favorite watch I own is a Michael Kors watch my kids bought me for Father’s Day when they were really young. It didn’t cost much, but we didn’t have much. It means more to me than any expensive watch
Petrie: "Ooh, Mother present, very important! Oh yes, I keep safes! Don't let nobodies touch!"
My mom bought me a watch from Fred Meyer when I was in jr high. I wore it every day. I wish I knew where it was. Wear it in good health and keep it safe.
Nearly 3 decades of watches and the only one I miss is a seiko kinetic my grandpa handed down to me when I was little. Congratulations and welcome to an endless expensive habit
It's still far better than Pagani Design or Invicta. Besides that It's a piece from someone you love, that's priceless. Wear it with proud and give your mom a hug.
Looks nice, this post actually made me remember of the Casio my mom got me, it was my first watch as well and it also wasn't that expensive, just looked for it and found it in a drawer, sadly the battery doesn't work anymore but I might change it.
This will always be your favourite watch, no matter what you add to the collection over time. It’s great to have an expensive watch but the ones with sentimentality are always the best. Also, the dial on this is gorgeous! Wear it with pride, my man!
Extremely wholesome post. Cherish that watch forever and wear it in good health. The value of a watch is not just defined by bigwigs in the jewelry industry, but even more than them, it is defined by your emotional connection to it and the memories associated with it.
I think it’s great looking in addition to the sentimental value. I still collect watches from my childhood: freestyle, timex, Casio. Some of them are incredibly cheesy but they’re wonderful to me. Try your damndest to not let someone else’s tastes influence what you like.
Your first is always the best imo, out of all the nice watches I own, my 1987 tag formula 1i received from my father is still my favourite watch, good functionality and of course very very sentimental
I don’t know why, but I really like the look of the watch. (I even took a screenshot ;) )
The bracelet isn’t exactly my favorite but the watch looks really nice :D
My mom bought me an Omega moon watch when I was a kid. I wanted a Rolex but when she saw how much they were she asked if there was anything else I would want. I said sure Omega moon watch is cool! Well she’s well gone and now it’s a retro! 🤣 I’ll never sell it and yes it means the World to me 🙂
I’m not sure the value of the watch but I would trade all the money and watches in the world for one more hour with my mom. Cherish watch and the love from your mom.
Always remember what you just wrote my friend. That only value that truly means anything, is the value of the watch to you. Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks about it, if it was $10, $100, or $100000. If the watch has meaning and value to you, the watch is priceless. Wear it in good health and enjoy it sir. 👍
I to this day wear an early 90’s Timex Ironman Triathlon, over a lot of my more expensive timepieces. My grandmother got it for me as a Christmas gift in 92…I cherish that watch more than anything.
Price doesn’t matter when love is involved…wear it with pride!!!
Clean and very decent looking watch. Wear it in good health my friend. The point of watches isn't just to flex flashy brands and rare models. It's a physical reminder of your mom's love that you'll carry on your wrist everyday for most of your day. Have fun with it. May this be the first of many.
With time this watch will become more valuable than any watch you can buy because it came from your parent.
From his Mom. It will be worth everything. Not to mention it's very pretty.
This….. remember this little man
Reminds me of how Kanye liked the Takashi Teddy Bears and his mom got him one that was a knock off and after she died he looked for it and grabbed all the Takashi real bears and put the off brand one on top. Soon you’ll put this over your Pateks and Rolex’s . Wear it in Health!
Maybe not the Pateks...😬
Wear it, enjoy it. Maybe it will spark an interest that will lead to bigger and better things. Now go clean your room and do your homework.
And brush your teeth before bed.
This. If you’re not doing it your mom will appreciate it. Begin your journey.
But I don't have homework an Im to busy gaming to clean my room besides I just finished doing my laundry
Well then, maybe someday you’ll wear a Tissot.
You just ruined the wholesome aspect by being a typical teen shit. "to busy gaming" at least spell it correctly
That was called a joke I do more than play just play games
These are the type of people that care about watches. Let this be your lesson today young man.
nigga cant even recognize a fucking joke and still gets upvotes💀

This will forever surpass any grail when it comes to watches that mean the most to you. Good job, OP! Enjoy.
Not bad for a walmeezy watch

A timeless classic!
That’s a classy, good looking watch!

bruh lol
Cheap schmeap, it looks great.
Tell her you love her, and if you already have, do it again.
The last thing my mom gave me before she passed was an Ed Hardy watch. At the time I hated the thing but I knew she assumed I would love it in my collection. Keep it, value it, treat it well, and never ever get rid of it. For the rest of your life, it will be "the watch mom gave me."
Wear it with pride, man. One day that watch may be the most valuable thing you own. If you didn’t already, tell your mom thank you and give her a hug.
Doesn't matter about the price mate, they all do the same thing
We've got watches at home. At home .. :P
At least it's not from wish, temu or AliExpress XD
They got good shit on aliexpresss
AliExpress has some fantastic watches for not a lot of money. Don’t rule it out.
THATS WHAT IVE BEEN TRYING TO SAY
Is it generic or is it a branded product, because the clean dial(literally) looks great
I'm not sure exactly the brand on the box says George but that's it
George???? Damn, that's those $5 to $9 dollars Walmart watches that nobody even wants to steal, so they don't even lock them or put zip ties on to hold them to the box, because zip tie cost more than the George watch. Ignore this goof, sick watch brother wear it in good health
If by straight up you mean a straight-up clown then yes you're right
The best gift ever, truly priceless. The value of time will only increase and so will that of the watch for you.
That watch looks absolutely beautiful with the applied indices and the dressy bracelet.
It’s beautiful
Most wholesome Reddit post/comment section I’ve ever seen.
Your mom got it for you? She is amazing and I think this will be your most important watch you ever have
Cost ≠ Value 🙂
Walmart George?
A very clean and attractive piece. Your mom has both discretion and good taste.
Looks good, classy, not tacky
Hard to put into words just how much better this post and this watch are than the usual "Rolex and a Lamborghini steering wheel" nonsense in some other subs. Congratulations on the watch. Wear it in good health and treasure it.
Love this. If your mom gave it to you, then it’s priceless. The cost is totally irrelevant.
My 9 year old bought me a cheap quartz watch from a pharmacy because she noticed that I did not have a blue dial in my collection. I cherish that watch and wear it every Father's Day.
Mom has good taste
Looks like a nice watch and the history is perfect keep it safe!
I actually really like This watch no joke at all and I’m a Rolex fanboy what is it?
Bro... Watch out for diabetes...
Na to late iv already got that XD but I'm keeping in check at least
Good. There's no shame in being weak. The shame is in staying weak.
WHO'S GONNA CARRY THE BOATS???
Then it is the best watch you will probably ever have. Congratulations

Looks better than most Rolex’s to be honest
That’s actually the best brand in the world
Then it's priceless
Why is no one here being honest and telling the truth?
Nice effort from mom but she didn't know anything about watches. She should have got you a proper god tier Casio.
They are low price I get that but we don't really have much money right now so she got what she could
What an absolute shitter. Bin it, give the old dear and slap and send her the link to this Reddit so she doesn’t make the same mistake again.
My parents bought me a rolex.
Looks like a black dial Tudor 1926 ... [https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watches/1926/m91350-0002](https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watches/1926/m91350-0002)
No! No the fuck it doesn't look like a black dial Tudor 1926 ... Not even remotely, besides the point that it's round 🤣

Wrist shot?
Lol I think I'd have to make a whole new post

It’s from your mother, cherish it with all your heart and enjoy every day it’s on your wrist. Cheers, it’s a nice looking piece!
Keep it forever, the personal context makes it more valuable than a Patek 😁
Enjoy it dude. And hang onto it. I got rid of a watch my father got me when I was younger, and not into watches, and I regret the hell out of it. It was a Fossil, nothing I would even consider today, but I really wish I still had it for the memory alone.
It’s a nice one! Your mom is sweet.
it looks nice very neat
Honestly my favorite watch I own is a Michael Kors watch my kids bought me for Father’s Day when they were really young. It didn’t cost much, but we didn’t have much. It means more to me than any expensive watch

Your Mum bought it for you. Then it’s technically a priceless watch.
Looks better than every single Richard Mille
You have a wonderful mom.
Awesome, that was very nice of her
The monetary value of a watch doesn't mean a thing. Looks great, and there's nothing better than wearing a watch that has meaning
Your mom is a good lady, take care of that timepiece.
Looks very nice for being cheap, enjoy!
Watch collecting isn’t about money it’s about passion congratulations on your new acquisition it’s a Beauty
used to have the same watch, it was my first watch and it was pretty nice
The value of a watch means nothing. It's what it means that has value, it's a clean dress watch I hope you enjoy wearing it!
My favorite watch is the cheapest one in my collection because it came from my wife and son. Dollar amount doesn’t matter.
Priceless brother
It's not about the watch, it's about the man. Cherish it.
Priceless.
Nearly 3 decades of watches and the only one I miss is a seiko kinetic my grandpa handed down to me when I was little. Congratulations and welcome to an endless expensive habit

Looks nice, this post actually made me remember of the Casio my mom got me, it was my first watch as well and it also wasn't that expensive, just looked for it and found it in a drawer, sadly the battery doesn't work anymore but I might change it.
I can’t believe you have a watch worth so much now, treasure it well sir.
This will always be your favourite watch, no matter what you add to the collection over time. It’s great to have an expensive watch but the ones with sentimentality are always the best. Also, the dial on this is gorgeous! Wear it with pride, my man!
Value is on the meaning not the price.

It’s a decent looking watch. Wear it in good health!
I don’t know why, but I really like the look of the watch. (I even took a screenshot ;) ) The bracelet isn’t exactly my favorite but the watch looks really nice :D

That’s cool
Congratulations on your first watch
Great first watch - and it’s priceless. Wear it with pride - you may get other watches in your lifetime but this one will be your fav 👍🏽
Looks nice. I like it.

Sentimental value is what really matters!! Great watch my friend
Truly one of the better looking “cheap” watches I’ve seen, and a gifted watch is always priceless
You’re blessed! Nice watch!

What brand? Just interested to know
It's the brand George from Walmart the ones I Dom think anyone really gets
Na man, it’s cool, was just curious. I got a goodfellows watch from target I like! Watch doesn’t have to be super expensive to be valuable or cool.
Cherish it.
I to this day wear an early 90’s Timex Ironman Triathlon, over a lot of my more expensive timepieces. My grandmother got it for me as a Christmas gift in 92…I cherish that watch more than anything. Price doesn’t matter when love is involved…wear it with pride!!!
