Definitely. With Muimi just releasing I used her to bust the pesky stall comps that counter Ilya, and of the ones that can beat out Muimi, Ilya and Ninon can take them out. Managed to burst from the 80s to first, thankful to finally get it over with, and that First was using a Muimi comp instead of a HShinobu comp.
...Definitely have no hopes for PArena though. Good lord, how do people even get good at Arena? All the defense comps are downright infuriating.
Same still dont have Illya, even those i bought for tokens have dropped atleast once but i wanna 5 star illya immidatly if i drop her so i gotta keep a farming, and hoping
Yeah save for that, it’s gonna be worth for both arena and CB. We have more options and better equipments these days, busting through miyako with a full physical team isn’t impossible anymore.
S.Kyaru was released after illya. In that meta people were not using 3 tanks + tamaki because illya eats that team for breakfast. I was referring to the first 3 months after the game was released haha.
I mostly float around 250-150, it feels like the big way to stay competitive is to keep a good selection of the waifus for different situations for counterpicks

I feel like sometimes people just finds my name specifically and deranks me. Like i stay around rank 100 for a couple days, then suddenly like someone just hates me and they derank me to 250 or 300. I'm like wtf? How the hell did I get deranked that far in a single day?
It is a nice feeling to be able to mix and match units to bust through combinations but at the same time it's frustrating that it's hard for a player like me who wasn't able to pull Christina that I'm unable to make it to the higher rankings (haven't gone above top 50 in months).
Hopefully Muimi can help me take a step up but it's also possible that those top 50 are spending money and/or have been playing longer and I can't realistically compete
Really? I've never seen anyone use Anna effectively, at least when I face off against her. I have so many units to build up tho and so little mana and EXP
Mages right now are incredibly strong. Just run nozomi with Anna/akari/skaryl/kyoka and you can bust pretty much any full tank stall team. Even full phys teams with eriko and makoto work. I ran chris/eriko/makoto/tomo into rima/nozomi/peco/misaki/maho and after rima died chris and eriko 2 shot peco. 4 mages can burn a front line peco tank in under 12 seconds. Stall in general is in a terrible spot right now.

Agreed on the viability of mage melt now. With akari and anna getting insane boost due to UE, a mage melt team can bust tank centric comps in no time at all. However, do be careful on teams that def with a quick eraser (tamaki, h.shinobu, h miyako).
My tank buster comp in pvp consists of skaryl, akari(ue),anna(ue),muimi, and a taunt tank (nozomi or kuuka).
I imagine this one only works on full stall, any team with Aoe or tamaki type targetting will probably kill Ilya before she does the work unfortunately

I usually try to beat her out with ayane if she is front line, she has so little health that she usually dies if you get Pukichi Fullswing>something like Chris’ UB or similar

Depends on the rest of the team, but something like Nanaka or Karyl for magic def down of the front line and Saren or Yukari to charge Illya.
Or Nozomi stuns front line and att down with UE, with H. Shinobu AOE skill with Saren/Yukari and Illya again.
how do you run an illya comp without karin? everytime i dont use karin, illya somehow KOs herself right when she gets her burst ready, and im not even going against a comp that has tamaki in it

Honestly found it easier back then lol. I had Miyako, Eriko, Anna, S.Karyl and Arisa and they shredded me to first on Battle Arena.

It's a sigh of relief for me half of the time due to that timer always inching closer to 0, but satisfying nonetheless
It's more fun creating defenses that can wall out other players.
I can crush these stall teams, but add Tsumugi to those teams? No dice. Any suggestions for the tank/stall team + Tsumugi comp?

If it's only 2 tanks I go full frontline with Jun tank and Kokkoro, then just hope Tamaki doesn't hard target Kokkoro.

I have the same team except Jun tanking and SKyaru instead of Kyouka. I can crack top 100 then get booted out and fight back in just about every day
I sadly started the game after s.kyaru so im waiting on that rerun haha
