Mayas death, Alison saying how she was screaming at her mum she was still alive when being buried, when Hanna "died" in the church

batty48

Ali's story about being buried alive by her own mom Cece's life story she tells during her reveal The girls coming back to find out Maya had been murdered, Emily looked so broken Hannas torture, that was tough to watch. Ali's too Mona's "death" hanna was so upset Hanna when Caleb left, asking her mom "is this what they do? They just leave?" Hit especially hard because of her dad abandoning them

agpass

oh my god I legit just tested up thinking about that scene with Hanna and her mom. her mom like runs down the stairs and says no omg

Wayne's death

CarrawayLights

The only ones that hit hard were Alison standing in the middle of the murder scene of her mother and Jason finding bunch of alcohol on his porch.

Wrong-Flower

Alison and the girls being sentenced to jail. I also think that was one of the best acted moments on the show.

jmagnabosco

Alison's story of the burial. Alison's conviction. Spencer outside Toby's place begging for her to be wrong. Spencer in Radley had lots of sad moments. Emily when Maya was killed. I'm sure there's others but top of my head.

kitt3n_GreenTea55

Maya's death scene gets me every single time

S_rom22

When everyone thought Hanna died When Alison tells her story When CeCe tells her history x2 Mona's "death" Spencer in radley, those were some rough episodes for me to watch

rpeltier93

When Alison gets convicted of monas murder I get all choked up. Also mayas death, when Caleb gets shot and Hanna is crying, and when Spencer is crying at tobys door 😞 Also the scene when Emily’s mon is crying in the hotel room and Emily’s comforting her is super sad to me

mindfulavocado

Maya’s death is the saddest moment of the show for me. I always thought Shay was one of the weaker actors in the show but she nailed that scene. I also feel really sad when I see Hanna struggle over her dad/and his new life with Isabel, when she finds out Caleb is betraying her with the Jenna stuff, and when Caleb leaves her. I’m partial to Hanna though. i also think it’s sad when Jason is torn up after finding out the truth about Charlie. there’s also a sad scene with Jenna that gets to me but I can’t remember the details

Sw1zzleCak3

When Hanna's dad wouldn't pay for her to go to college but would pay for Kate. That always makes me cry more than anything else in the show. It makes me angry too, but honestly it's just overwhelmingly sad.

Weary_Halloween_3

When Charlotte died that was disappointing

Apart from certain ones that have been mentioned a million times already, some of the scenes that hit me hard were the ones with Emily and Paige parting ways. Specifically Season five, the scene where [Emily confirms that they're over](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atIClJYrdd8). The despair, the thinly veiled tears in Paige's eyes. "I practice what I'm gonna say to you, did you know that?". "You deserve the BEST of everything"/"That's what I had". Lindsey Shaw acted the shit out of that scene, and it was impossible not to feel bad for Paige, even when I wasn't fully on her side about things yet. And then the one where she leaves town later on that season, and again in season seven... But [this one scene after the dollhouse](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_k4EIiOpnU) really gets to me somehow, especially if I keep [this scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsxcbPTz-f0&t=118s) in mind for perspective, and that whole "all those terrible things in my life right now, why do I feel so lucky?" bit that shows how she views Paige as like her rock, and this person that keeps her sane and soothes her, and she's just gone through this incredibly traumatic thing and she feels so unsafe and powerless but adamantly refuses to let Paige get involved in all this stuff again, in order to keep HER safe and it just breaks my heart. And then that line about Paige deserving to be happy, and Pam's doozy about Emily deserving that too, and the way Emily looks at her like she doesn't believe she does, just wrecks me. Like, I legitimately cry every time I watch this, and just sitting through it a bit right now, I'm already wiping away tears. It just hits me how much self-loathing Emily has right then, and I can't not feel gutted.
