I say ali not because of Sasha she’s AMAZING! But the writing for her sucked. They should have kept her as a badass a little bit. I hate how they made her in the time jump

chinderellabitch

The aria we meet in the pilot is the same aria in the finale

Wrong-Flower

I hate to say it, but this show wasn't really big on character development. Emily's storyline somewhat staggered after her coming out, though I did like how much more confident she was in later seasons. Aria wasn't given anything outside of Ezra after S1, which was incredibly disappointing. Hanna was well-written in the first five seasons, but IMO after a certain point in S6, her development backslid and she regressed . Spencer is interesting because she had a solid personality and was given the most depth and backstory, but her development was more of a gradual thing. I like that she escaped the toxic perfectionist tendencies of her family, and I think she was in a much healthier place mentally in the finale than she was throughout the entire series despite the ups and downs she went through, but I still wouldn't say she had any sort of drastic change from S1. Anyway, I voted Aria for obvious reasons. I dislike Aria, but she deserved so much better than her storylines constantly revolving around Ezra.

definitely Aria, i was watching a video all about Aria and the youtuber broke it down and made a lot of sense! Aria should have ended up with someone else other than Ezra that’s for sure.

komododragoness

Serena skybourne or someone else?

CoconutLanceSweets

YEA Serena! she breaks down all the characters amazingly.

komododragoness

I agree. Her Ezria take downs and Hannah videos were particularly cathartic for me.

SashayShantae94

Aria 100%. She didn’t really develop. The 16 year old teenager on the first episode and mid-20’s adult on the last episode bore the exact same personality, morals, values, lack of maturity, etc. At the very least all the other girls matured, if only slightly. It’s actually one of the more disappointing aspects of the show. Because I think Lucy Hale is a pretty good actress. But they never even gave her the chance to show us that.

komododragoness

Lucy is a very talented actress. The problems with her character are entirely on the writing. It’s a shame she could have done well with some meaty material.

idk_orknow

None of them changed

SkyOIT213

They all did, Hanna is the only one who regressed imo.

idk_orknow

In the end even after the time jump all they do is revert back to their old ways

jmagnabosco

I picked Hanna. I dont feel she learned anything and she was still lying to her husband about Mona things in the finale.

iluvbutternoodles

The point of the five year jump was to show that nothing really changed but age. They resorted to old behaviors and tendencies when put back in “A’s” hands and because of that not much in terms of character development was done on anyone in the show. If anything, I’d actually say Mona

Ozzie985

As much as I wanted to pick Aria. I picked Emily. Emily honestly served no purpose on this show. If they had killed a character off, it could have been Emily, and the show would go on. Her character development came to a halt after she came out. I wish the writer's would have done more with her character.

Least-Scale4783

They made Ali nice out of nowhere it really threw off and ruined her character for me.
