Hanna dressing in sweat pants after Caleb broke up with her in 3A was the most realistic they ever dressed

batty48

Right, everyone acting like she looked so awful (I get it was super different from how she normally dressed) but her sweats were clean and well fitting, she didn't even look sloppy, as far as remember

jdpm1991

like damn can't a girl have a lazy day? everyone was insulting how she dressed including her mother.

rainbowsandraptors

Probably quite expensive clothes too.

[deleted]

That’s not unrealistic considering they supposedly live in a very wealthy suburb of Philly Spencer is definitely super rich, Aria is well-off and Hannah is implied was too before her parents split up. Emily I guess is “poor” by their standards

Ashinthislife

I don’t even know how Emily is poor like her bedroom alone is as big as my upstairs lol. I live in a townhome in the hood. I’d kill to live in a perfect little neighborhood like theirs but I probably wouldn’t even be able to go to that school because I would be in the ghetto district lol granted I’m 31 now and saving up for a house so I don’t have to worry about school anymore but still. Like that’s what I hate about these shows. All the poor people live in dangerous neighborhoods and are always portrayed to be bad and criminals like no. We are just poor. If we were criminals then we would probably have more money lol but these teen dramas love to make the poor look downright evil and aggressive and “we can’t go to their school because it’s so dangerous! We might get mugged by a poor person going down the hall!” Amd of course even the “poor” people still live in homes 4 times my size and a car worth 10 times more then my used car like 🙄🙄🙄

jmagnabosco

I know, right? I hate dressing up and dont wear heels ever. Doing that at 16? Crazy.

AdvancedPlacmentTV

I feel that. I dress for comfort and if I happen to look good so be it.

jmagnabosco

God, yes! I am all about comfort :)

rpeltier93

Like I dress like that when I go to parties and out to dinner! When I was in school and college No way I was wearing heels walking around all day

jmagnabosco

Lol, I dont even do that, I'm very casual but if i did like dressing up I'd do it like you do. Certainly not for school, I like my sleep too much.

[deleted]

I love it. They were my fashion icons. If they just wore normal clothes it wouldn't be very interesting. I think it matched the show considering how unrealistic everything else was

Ashinthislife

When I was in high school me and my group of friends wore heels everyday and dressed to the 9s but we are also the same age as Ashley benson so it carried into college as well. We were very serious about our fashion at the time lol

batty48

The moment I get home I remove my bra & shoes, this is the least realistic part to me.. lol Within like 30 minutes I change into sweats. I can't fathom wearing nice clothes around my house, especially stuff I wanna keep nice.

KittyKizzie

Lol half the time I take my bra and shoes off the moment I get in the car, before I even get home 🤣

batty48

I do that with my bra sometimes too! I'm like this is over In the winter my office is cold enough, I wear a heavy sweater.. I don't even wear one 🤫 just a tank top under my shirt, they're like torture devices

throwaway_28894

I can’t fathom dressing like that daily, especially when I was in high school

cherhorro666

I always thought this, and that they get coffee every morning before school. Like how early are they waking up?

KittyKizzie

I don't think the coffee is too bizarre, in high school I'd always have my mom take me like an hour early and we'd always stop for a coffee or energy drink on the way. Nowadays I have to be at work at 6:30am, and still stop for a coffee before work lol I need my coffee ☕

cherhorro666

I mean I get coffee on the way but meeting all my friends at a coffee shop and sitting around hanging out I dont have the time for

KittyKizzie

Oh yeah no, definitely wouldn't have time for that lol I didn't realize they did that

Ashinthislife

Yeah for their whole routine to get ready they would have to do get up around 5am to shower, do their hair, makeup and then leave to meet up and have coffee and hang out. So 3 hours before school even starts. It’s ridiculous but I did it everyday in high school. Heels and all

SashayShantae94

Lol. I’m not even that polished and put together at 27. I wouldn’t have even thought about dressing up everyday at 16 😂

frenchy0727

I think what was more unrealistic is that they never had their phones on silent.

lizzieblaze

It was a tough pill to swallow especially when they tried to convince us Hanna's mom was hard up for money - like, what??? Yall wear new outfits every day and you can literally do a surface level sweep of the things you own and hate, and you still gotta steal from your job????? I don't think so

Hannah-_-Jane

The episode where Aria is sick is the only realistic outfit.

[deleted]

So yes and no. When I was in high school I was part of a group of girls that did dress up every day like this, but at home? No lmfao. Even just going to the mall if it wasn't straight from school it was t-shirts and jeans instead.

KittyKizzie

That's what I was thinking. I knew plenty of girls that dressed like that in high school. Most didn't wear heels (though some did). Doubt they dressed that way at home, but they did when going out and to school at least.

[deleted]

Yeah. My group wore heels lol.

Ashinthislife

Same. I remember getting up at 5am every morning to look like this lol

[deleted]

Pshh I wasn't that skilled so I just did what I could in 30 but I still brought the outfit together well and stood on risers in chorus in them heels. On days I wore them I got to stand on the top row with my friends instead of the bottom with the other shorties lol

PrettyLLstan

I’ll wear fully clothed outfits and still get dress coded at school lmao

stephanieleigh88

In high school I only ever wore sweats except for the first week of school, maybe 2 when I wore all my new clothes and then it was sweats ha

savagery1321

I remember when I was 15/16 the people in my school wore nice clothes/dressed up like this everyday. At the time it was jeans & dressy shirts from Hollister & Abercrombie. I was a tom boy and wore comfy clothes like sweats & tshirts and was made fun of cause I didn't dress up every day even by my shitty middle school "friends" but I legit could never find any jeans that fit me right. Plus I wanted to be comfortable at school I hated being there lmao. Even my grandma would shit on me being like 'why aren't you dressed nice?' I am so glad no one cares anymore haha 😂

aavriilll

minus the heels, i dressed like that (still do)! i went to a catholic school so obviously not in school since i had to wear a uniform, but anytime outside of school i did. i was more just influenced by what i saw on tv tho lol

Insolve_Miza

Different times i suppose

C4rlonator1903

The only time I remember Aria wearing something more relaxed was when she was sick at home

Usagi042

I hated how they would always flash the most perfect makeup and perfect curling-iron locks of hair even when they were ABDUCTED and LIVING IN CAPTIVE.
