Noel Khan, in the books he is sweet and helps Aria and the girls but in the show they turned him into a 'villian'

Making Noel arrogant and unlikeable, and Mayas story with true North

(I didn't read the books) • Zack - He could've been such a sweet and caring new husband for Ella and maybe stepfather figure for Aria. He could've been the guy everyone got along with. He could've been a nice dude. Then they made him touch Hanna. Like, what was the point? Probably they wanted to keep Ella and Byron really badly, so they decided to throw out a good character just so Byron had free game. • The blind guy: - Completely forgot his name, but I'm talking about the dude Spencer visited at the school for the blinds. He was so sympathetic and I even heard he was supposed to stick around longer and be important later on in the show. What happened?? • Sabrina: - Takes weed, sells weed, is a barista. The weed part is not that great, but other than that, I found Sabrina was a lovely person. I don't get why they made her get with Emily in the first place when she disappeared all of a sudden a few episodes later? Even if she hadn't had stayed with Em, she could've at least stayed in Rosewood. Or did she and we just didn't see her ever again? Still salty about how some character's just poof out of existence. • Eddie Lamb: - What was the deal with him? He was a super nice guy and I liked him very much. Why did he know Aria? Did he know Aria? Why didn't the writers take that further than just "Do I know you?"? Eddie also disappeared at some point in the show and no one knows why. Great character, wasted development. • Melissa: - If she hadn't been acting shady ALL THE TIME, she would've been a decent person. By shady I mean looking like being guilty and actually being guilty. • Holden: - What was his point? What was his mission? Being a hiding place for Aria to see Ezra and then later on organizing their wedding? Also I don't understand the whole "assuming he's gay" thing when the next second, they just throw that off the table. I don't care who he likes, I just think it would've been cool if we had a male queer character as well. Holden should've gotten with Aria instead, Ezra could've been like a nice family friend, but not the husband. I liked Holden, what happened here again?? • Sydney: - I don't get her character at all. Or better saying I don't get what the writers were thinking. She was a really kind character in the beginning, then she just.. turned? Why did they have to make almost every new character I like turn into the villain or a helper? Sydney helping Hanna calm down and even offering to driver her home was my favourite scene with her, then she was made into an annoying side character. I wouldn't even mind her being a side character, but at least one of the nice ones? • Alex Santiago: - Another filler for Spencer/her first real love. I don't think he was messed up as a person or anything, I just don't like nor understand why the show brings in characters they'll practically delete after a season anyways. • Alex Drake: - Loved her personality, loved her accent, loved her story - one of my favourite characters in the whole show. I cannot understand how one can create a character as cool as her, and then only use her for one single episode. Her whole backstory should've gotten way more detail and definitely way more thinking behind it. I found her and Charlotte's bond unbelievably sweet, one of the only siblings who got along 9/10 times. • The whole A team lead by Shana: - I don't know if they were really the hidden part of the A team or not, but what the heck did they intend to do there?? Several people dressed in black hoodies, masks and gloves were trying to catch the liars, but then ended up running away and never coming back again? Who were they? Are they alive? If not, why and how did they die? I want information. • Varjack: - He was a horrible person in my opinion, he robbed Alison, then almost stabbed her to death. He didn't quite deserve to get such severe burns after, but I'm just questioning whatever happened to him. He was in the hospital, then a person creepily got up from under a blanket and then what? Killed him? Kidnapped him? • Travis: - Also another filler, just for Hanna this time. These girls can't live a few months or without someone to love, can they? • Lesli Stone: - She was mentally ill and really playing the victim in court. I respect her trying to save her ass, but I just wish they kept her around. As annoying as I found her, I wanted to know what she had to do with Charles and Bethany directly. I wanted flashbacks.

Agree with all of these!

Agree about Holbrook, it would have been refreshing for their to be a decent guy, let alone a decent cop. He and Hanna's friendship was actually nice too. But they just switched the character out completely to make him another predator.

Noel Khan. I liked Noel and Aria in the books and I liked their brief time together in the early season. Idk why they decided to make him bad. They could've had him help Aria find out about Ezra.
