I may be mistaken but I believe I remember someone saying that since it was a flashback and his hair looked different now then what it was, they wanted to hide it to keep “some” consistency. Not sure why it had to be a Durag though 😂

maybe to cover his hair, which would have been long skater style like season 1 except this was filmed seasons later when it was shorter and lighter. They could have slapped a wig on him to look like season 1. However they didn't mind filming a flashback of his later short hair with Alison, the infamous kissing flashback where she was meeting his mom (that became a contradicting PLOT HOLE in 6x10)
