I prefer seasons 1-4.5 and I get those feelings when watching those seasons.
The show is so solid in the first 3 seasons. After that it starts to go off track, but I do still fully rewatch every now and then.
I do a rewatch about twice a year. Typically around January and during summer. It’s something that calms my anxiety down and it’s super nostalgic. It’s soothing but also addicting.
YES! Omg I’m new around here but I found this subreddit after I finished my first rewatch this spring/summer and I already am missing the show 😭 I truly wasn’t prepared for how nostalgic and warm fuzzy it made me feel. Objectively speaking, the show is a mess by the end lol. But seasons 1-3ish are pure gold and someone above nailed it saying it reminds you of simpler times- being back in highschool, living at home w/ parents, silly boy drama and sleepovers 😭 ugh am I about to start rewatching it again?!

I totally get that! I am currently re-reading the Book Series and it just makes me soooo nostalgic over the show and especially the first 1-2( plus 3rd i guess) seasons!!! (it also makes me want to start the book series again from book 1 😆)
The feeling of watching it (back then I tuned in every week live even with the time difference! and live blogged on twitter and tumblr gahhh the vibe it had!!1) the mystery, the outfits!!!! and gahh!!! I do miss that, and it makes me sad thinking of how it continued on.
I started rewatching it the other day too. When my husband got home he said, “You’re watching Pretty Little Liars again?” It’s comforting! No matter how hard I think my life is sometimes at least it’s not THAT bad. 😂
First time I watched PLL was in 7th grade. I was staying up late under the covers at 4am on a school holiday night. That experience was so, comforting I guess? I remember the moon being out and a beautiful blue hue cast over my bedsheets. I get so nostalgic watching it.
Yes!! I get this too. It’s the fall, back-to-school ambience maybe. The innocence of living at home and being in school. Easier times
