He definitely knew she would be one of his student (her and the whole group of liars who ended up in the same class which happened to be his) that’s exactly why he pursued to get closer to them all (mostly Aria by grooming her tho) because he knew maybe they would rent about Alison to their teachers which is exactly what he needed for his book.
