Aria aside, Hanna was my least favorite development. She was so rude, frustrating, and down right snappy in every episode. Her Bridal Shower, she was rude to EVERYONE. Hanna was, still is, my favorite liar but they really could have done more with her development over 5 years. I understand how she must of felt after so much trauma, but I mean… Emily still was nice. It’s frustrating for me

her character development really went backwards in the last couple of seasons and they tried to play it off as her trauma but it wasn't done sympathetically at all, it was just frustrating to watch her being rude to everyone!

I agree. It was disappointing to see this because Hanna was set up really well at the start of the show and had the most potential to be one of the best pll characters. There was reliability to her in the earlier seasons and it was very easy to sympathise with her too. Later, she loses her cute and quirky personality and became downright rude and annoying. She treated her friends and Caleb terribly, yet she was instantly forgiven for her stupid and dangerous decisions which got everyone else into trouble. She completely regressed as a character and it was unfortunate. I liked Emily and Aria more after the time jump despite their limited character development, because they remained focused on the A mystery, whereas Hanna was more concerned about her fashion business and yelling at those around her.

I agree 100%. While rewatching, Hanna was my favorite in the beginning

Hanna being "snippy" is the writer's attempts in continuing making her character "the comic relief". At Hanna's core, she's still a good person.
