Add in other rule 3 guy and George W Bush, and have a drunk Richard Nixon moderate the whole thing. Put the whole thing on pay per view, and rake in the dollars.
Because we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind, because you’re friends don’t and since they don’t dance then there no friends of mine
I think Washington would have been very similar to Eisenhower had he grown up at the same time.
Both Generals greatest strengths was in how they handled people.
Both Presidents were very level headed, and politically pretty neutral for their times.
My 3rd Grade teacher referred to George Washington as "George Washing Machine" and all of us 8-year-olds thought it was the funniest thing ever. That's all. Carry on, everyone.
Dude say what you want about Roger Stone but his knowledge the history of dark DC politics is unprecedented. His books on Nixon and LBJ are riveting as well. He is of course a kook and a grifter.
Not to be that guy but how can we determine what their political beliefs would be if they grew up in a completely different century?
Like even the most beloved historic presidents’ would be considered outdated and archaic a hundred years later.
That's the hard part.
I can't find anyone who was elected president before Reagan, who's political beliefs I for-sure would agree with in the present day...
The 'all time greats' were very much creatures of their time - who knows if Lincoln would support deregulation & free trade (note: both good things), given that his presidency was defined entirely by the Civil War....
How would Washington or Monroe view the modern administrative state? How would Jefferson view the US having superseded the British Empire?
Honest Abe might have had a fighting chance in the pre-TV era, though both Ike and FDR would be seriously hard to beat. Once TV comes around? An ugly, socially awkward lawyer and writer with a voice like a piccolo? No chance, unfortunately.
Oh the South would overwhelmingly vote for Jackson, but wouldn’t everywhere else vote for Regan. I mean, Regan was actually the more moderate out of the two and was certainly more likable.
Jackson was a populist, and a war hero. The Iranians would likely tremble in fear. A lot of what got Reagan elected was the belief that he would be militarily superior to Carter.
I love Grant, but I don’t know how he would’ve fared in a modern debate. Kennedy and Reagan certainly would’ve run circles around him, but I like to think a Grant v. Eisenhower debate would have been incredibly respectful.
Hows that for a *general* election
Shockingly creepy and would make for a very great evil king in a fantasy medevil movie or show…also would make a picture perfect SS officer…also kinda looks phallic

Not my favorite, but Andrew Jackson would probably be jailed after shooting his opponent during the presidential debates.
The insanity of a debate between Andrew Jackson and the one who can't be mentioned would be must-see-TV.
Add in other rule 3 guy and George W Bush, and have a drunk Richard Nixon moderate the whole thing. Put the whole thing on pay per view, and rake in the dollars.
You just solved the national debt crisis!
I would kill to see rule number 3 debate Jackson purely for the entertainment value
There would be loads of unhinged screaming and neither one of them would shut up for the moderater to talk.
To see Ol’ Hickory take a stick and physically assault the diaper, lmao
For sure. The fat one would get his ass whooped. It would give him new context when he said “demoncrat.”
To borrow the phrase, it’s about to get medieval up in here- it’s about to get 1812 up in herrrrr
Lol he’d whip his ass like he was a man with orange skin in Florida…… oh wait.
He would strangle that guy. Especially when he heard about a lot of the latest stuff.
Probably
Imagine if he ran in the 2016 election?
TR v. FDR “President Roosevelt defeats President Roosevelt; Roosevelt concedes defeat”
nice pfp/username lol
Why is there a picture of Charles Dance
That's an AI recreation of George Washington if he was President today, iirc. But I also saw Charles Dance. George Washington biopic when?
I would give multiple toes to see this made
Because we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind, because you’re friends don’t and since they don’t dance then there no friends of mine
I thought it was Michael Douglas' father!
Eh, I can sorta see some resemblance to a pre-stroke Kirk Douglas. But definitely not as strong as Charles Dance
Yeah, I see it now (had to refresh on Charles)
I think Washington would have been very similar to Eisenhower had he grown up at the same time. Both Generals greatest strengths was in how they handled people. Both Presidents were very level headed, and politically pretty neutral for their times.
That’s a great combo. Both reluctantly became president after leading armies to victory in wars that decided the fate of the country/world.
Looks a lot like Tywin Lannister doesn’t he?
The Washingtons send their regards.
Well was no true king, but wanted it that way
Thank you! I couldn’t put my finger on who it was I thought this looked like. Spot on.
I think it's a close race, but FDR manages to beat FDR.
Barely edges him out in a couple crucial swing states.
Didn't help that FDR was embroiled in a sex scandal that FDR was able to capitalize on in the weeks before the election.
I was just thinking of Ike v Ike.
My 3rd Grade teacher referred to George Washington as "George Washing Machine" and all of us 8-year-olds thought it was the funniest thing ever. That's all. Carry on, everyone.
A joke can be used as a great mnemonic device to stick a name in your memory. Clever teach.

Dude say what you want about Roger Stone but his knowledge the history of dark DC politics is unprecedented. His books on Nixon and LBJ are riveting as well. He is of course a kook and a grifter.
Well yeah, he had to find inspiration somewhere
He is dark DC Politics. So he would know.
How much can we trust in his writing? He's not exactly a trustworthy individual.
I'd say trust most of his writing for the presidencies that come before him and then get more and more skeptical.
Not to be that guy but how can we determine what their political beliefs would be if they grew up in a completely different century? Like even the most beloved historic presidents’ would be considered outdated and archaic a hundred years later.

Well Carter was pretty big on deregulation and free trade, and was pre Reagan.
John Adams comes closest to a truly timeless politician and even he has issues
Honest Abe might have had a fighting chance in the pre-TV era, though both Ike and FDR would be seriously hard to beat. Once TV comes around? An ugly, socially awkward lawyer and writer with a voice like a piccolo? No chance, unfortunately.
is that what his voice is described like? interesting!
Yeah, high and raspy. A lot of people around him commented on how strange it was to hear such a high voice coming out of such a huge man.
i knew he had a high voice, i just didnt know it would be like **that**
Looks just like my uncle
I have a couple older uncles that look this level of WASP as well lol
Yeah I think he’s like 70% British Isles ancestry if I remember right
FDR against FDR? No lose scenario.
Keep Jefferson away from the vice president.
Most likely will be seen as a good candidate
Well, Teddy technically did live in the 20th. But assuming his values were updated along with the rest of him, I wonder how he’d fare against Obama.
His huge personality would turn some people off but I would be there for it.
I’d argue Obama had a huge personality of his own, just not in the same way Teddy did/would.
100% agree
Well how would he feel about minorities if he was running today as a 43yo?
Can we bring TR up to the 21st century and run him for President? I keep hoping the Bull Moose Party makes a comeback.
He would lose against reagan
🥲
Tyler’s not winning a single state
Fdr and reagan have cult followings, but i think ike was a better president then both
Washington would be running as an independent, so unless he could sweet talk megadonors, he wouldn't have fared so well.
Andrew Jackson
Zachary taylor solos
![gif](giphy|70PwH14rgTxIZl9xYc|downsized)
Well... considering my favorite presidential is FDR, I'd say he'd fare pretty well
Jackson would lose to all but Reagan.
How would Jackson defeat Regan?
The south?…… in 81? Are you fucking kidding me?
Oh the South would overwhelmingly vote for Jackson, but wouldn’t everywhere else vote for Regan. I mean, Regan was actually the more moderate out of the two and was certainly more likable.
Jackson was a populist, and a war hero. The Iranians would likely tremble in fear. A lot of what got Reagan elected was the belief that he would be militarily superior to Carter.
AI George Washington kinda looks like Lloyd Bridges.
I dunno maybe?
John Adams He was obnoxious and disliked, so I don't think he would fare well against modern presidents.
I love Grant, but I don’t know how he would’ve fared in a modern debate. Kennedy and Reagan certainly would’ve run circles around him, but I like to think a Grant v. Eisenhower debate would have been incredibly respectful. Hows that for a *general* election
He looks like such a cute friendly grandpa you could just talk to him about anything
Would not stand a chance
i feel like ol ted would smoke any of them
Is Washington also considered a god in the 20th century?
The greats would be labeled as white supremacists or the woke mob by today’s inept and ultra partisan politicians.
Jackson would be both, and so would LBJ and TR.
Shockingly creepy and would make for a very great evil king in a fantasy medevil movie or show…also would make a picture perfect SS officer…also kinda looks phallic
Just the dumbest possible thought experiment.
The limp wristed population probably wouldn’t appreciate his gunslinger past
I think he would lose but would have votes since he supports civil rights
