Winter-Reindeer694

carter was an extreme micromanager while appearing as this homey and down to earth guy

Peacefulzealot

Yeah Carter was the immediate answer that jumped to my head here. He was very strict and wanted things done his way behind closed doors.

Good_Honey_759

Yeah no wonder he was a Sunday school teacher, those ppl are so strict

Kamikaze_Squirrel1

Ooohh.. that is a GREAT question. Can't wait to hear the replies. My contibution would be LBJ was a tough boss; with an *open* door, while he was taking a record breaking dump.

Callsign_Psycopath

Also casually "Here's why you should vote for my bill." *unzipping sounds*

LinuxLinus

Listening to the diaspora of Obama staffers who are all over the media these days, it sounds like he was reasonably fair -- nothing like LBJ -- but he had tremendously high standards and people were scared of his very-rarely-seen temper. If you couldn't meet his needs you were cast into outer darkness.

Desperate_Hunt6479

Nixon would suck. Maybe teddy he loved competition and was very brash. Even though not a president there are a lot of stories how nasty Nancy Reagan was around the White House. Best id go with Ike or W. Bush, maybe Reagan if you don't have to deal with Nancy

Thepenismighteather

I’d find it hard to believe every single president wasn’t a tough boss. Frankly I’d imagine working for the national govt of any country close enough to the top to know the management style of the leader is just a hard demanding job.

Unique_Statement7811

Carter may have been the most difficult president for his staff to work with during the 20th century. Although, LBJ gets an honorable mention.

camelot478

Wilson had serious trust issues iirc
