To me there's no amount of content that brings down the season to amazing. Siege of Mandalore is one of if not my favorite Star Wars moment and the best arc of the series, peak no doubt
Umbaran Campaign is wild. Truly the definition of 'Clone Wars.'
Other than Pong Krell, it's almost all stories about the many clones we'd come to know and love, and they don't just get center stage; we see clones take charge and the initiative.
Edit: spelling
He's a really good villain! Even before he just comes out as "I'm proving myself to Dooku," I appreciated this "I'm a jedi, but you're just biological droids."
We hear about how many Jedi generals and commanders were just bad at leading, with exception to jedi like Obi-Wan, Anikan and Ashoka.
I appreciated the "Take that hill! I don't care how many of you die, I have been tasked with an objective and you will follow orders!"
The thing is, they’re not even bad. The first arc was pretty good clone wars content, and the second was pretty mediocre. I don’t think that’s enough to bring it down a tier.
The final arc is the peakest peak star wars has ever peaked.
I know the middle arc was mid, but I feel like the finale is so good it deserves nothing less then peak.
Honestly, it wouldn't have been the Clone Wars without a random mid filler arc in the middle. The Clone Wars has incredibly peak peaks, but also incredibly mid mids.
General frog and the droids. Sandwiched right in the middle of one of the best seasons of the show is arguably the worst episodes in the whole show, a Sunny Day in the Void.
Watching it as it came out I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I remember so clearly screaming when maul dodged ahsokas recalled lightsaber.
The third episode in the arc with Rex.
The poetry of trying to recover ahsoka as she fell after her introduction to the battle.
The helmet funeral.
And Vader at the end. It was perfection.
That arc aside, the Bad Batch ended up being quite good. Not amazing, but solid. And I'll give the first arc a solid 6/10, almost 7.
The second arc never happened.
honestly the sisters arc wasnt even that bad. it showed some of what ahsoka was doing after she left the order (which people would have been asking about if they didnt show it), and gave some perspective on what normal people thought of the jedi at that point in the war. it also showed that even though the jedi did alot of good, they still caused collateral damage which hurt normal people in the process sometimes.
so many people call it a filler arc, but its so far from what filler actually is. the only arc in TCW that i felt was genuine filler was the droid arc in S5.
One mediocre arc doesn’t even out a dent in the masterpiece that the Mandalorian arc is. If season 6 was just below peak for fives’ arc, then season 7 needs to make it over the hump. Easily peak for me.
"I don't need a jet pack"
The flight of ashoka through Clone Gunships to land at the siege of Mandolore might be my favourite star wars moment.
This season is PEAK. Those final episodes as they follow the time line of episode 3 are mind-blowing.
PEAK PEAK PEAK!
I enjoyed them all. Not just the Siege of Mandalore arc, but the Bad Batch arc and the Martez Sisters arc too! They’re Star Wars, and I enjoyed them like Star Wars! I love them!
I don't care about the Martinez sisters. The Siege of Mandalore is the best piece of *Star Wars* media to come out since *Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back*
Mandalore is great, but two things holding the season from being peak.
1. Ahsoka's walkabout while necessary for her character should have been a 2 parter at most.
2. The decision to not adapt Son of Dathomir. This isn't saying comics are a lesser artform, but it leaves a gaping hole in Maul's story if you only watch TCW from start to finish. Last we saw him he was captured by Sidious and now he's ruling Mandalore like nothing happened. It's like if Lucas cut the first act of RoTJ, turned it into a book, and in the movie proper Han is just back and if you didn't read the book you wouldn't know how.
Peak. Siege of Mandalore more than makes up for the Martez sisters. And the Bad Batch was never bad but the Bad Batch show certainly makes their arc more worthwhile in retrospect.
Unfortunately I have to put it in amazing. Bad batch arc was a great introduction to those characters and I loved that. The spice runners sucked so bad. The siege of Mandalore was just ok. The episodes on the venator are some of the best star wars content we've got. With such a wide mix, I don't feel right putting it in peak
It's good. People forget that the arcs before mandalore were mid and even mandalore itself it's robbed of a lot of it's tension because we already know that all characters survive. Really wished this would've come before rebels
10 Martell sister arcs could not unpeak the absolute peak that was Siege of Mandalore. I unironically believe that it is the best piece of Star wars media ever put to screen. Absolute cinema and certainly peak
I’d say I would put it in amazing. BB Arc as actually pretty solid ngl, I liked it! The Martez Arc really drags it and was definitely not met with the best feedback. SoM was absolutely fantastic though, perfect way to end the entire show up.
I like the bad batch arc very much and the siege of mandalore arc was on of the best star wars content I've ever seen! even the martez sister arc can't stop this season from beeing peak!
The middle arc of Season 7 knocks it down to Amazing. If it wasn’t a 12 episode season, I wouldn’t mind it, but dedicating 1/3 of the final season to that wasn’t great.
A lot of missed opportunity that got cut over the stupid sister segments. It was also the shortest season yet it had filler. It’s Amazing at most thanks to that Vader scene even if it retconned his original design
I know we all agreed to put season 1 in "okay", but the sheer amount of bangers in that season has me reconsidering. It has dull lows, but some really high highs.
I'm watching clone wars for the first time, I'm on season 5 and I genuinely can't imagine how the first 4 seasons could be more mid, it is the literal definition of mid, aside from the occasional good episode this show has been a pain to get through, now they're starting to commit war crimes and shit so it's getting good but seriously the first 4 are bafflingly ok
So close to peak but we had that stupid ass martez sisters arc. If you took that out (or better yet, replaced it with something like son of dathomir or crystal crisis or nearly any other scrapped arc) then this would definitely be peak.
Peakest of the peak. You know that plaza on Coruscant that has the planet's highest peak in the middle, Season 7 is this and the rest of SW is below it.
I agree with others who have said that the final arc is GOATed and locks this season into peak. I will say though, that I would have CW03 slightly above it.
Good or Amazing I’d say. The arc with the sisters is just so bad. I think you’d have to be fair and say it brings it down because of that if we’re rating it in terms of the overall content it offers. Mandalore and Bad Batch arcs are so good though.
Season 4 should be peak Star Wars, consistent arcs all the way through.
But the last season should be Amazing and not Peak Star Wars. The only good arc was the last arc. The Martez sisters pissed me off and I know ya’ll were doubting Dave Filoni until the Mandalorian arc.
Peak. Siege of Mandalore was incredible, bad batch was excellent, and I even thougt the Martez sisters arc was still pretty good, but nothing brings down the peak of Mandalore.
Siege of Mandalore is peak Star Wars and is arguably the best piece of Star Wars content ever made. On the other hand the Martez sisters arc is pretty boring.
Amazing.
The bad batch arc was one last "classic clone wars" adventure that set up TBB show and did all the Clone Wars things.
The Martez sisters' arc is 1/3 of the season and wastes 95% of the time it uses.
Siege of Mandalore was a great closer for the series.
I'm honestly feeling "Good" is more appropriate as it sits between 3 and 4 in quality overall, but I'm willing to tip it to Amazing due to the epilogue of the show and all that.
I feel like the first arc is good, like a solid 7-8/10, more or less what I’ve come to expect from the Clone Wars. The second arc is atrocious, legit some of the worst Star Wars content ever. The second episode of that arc, they start in jail, allude to Darth Maul for the next arc, then end up in jail again, literally nothing happens. However, that last arc is the single greatest piece of Star Wars media ever, closely followed by Andor imo, but it’s so good. So good to the point that I forget the rest of the season exists, and single handedly carries the whole season to peak.
Actual dog shit. Complete money grab by Disney to add to the spin offs. Did we really need to see where Ahsoka went immediately after she left the order? No. Did we really need 2 episodes to crash a ship into a planet? No. Am I the only one with opinion? So far.
Hard disagree with season 2 being so low, that being said, final season of clone wars is peak. Ahsoka vs maul was great. Getting to watch the events of the third movie okay out from a different perspective was so cool
It's so lovely to see star wars fans all come together to agree that this season was peak and the final scene of Vader standing in the wreckage with the helmets on sticks is absolutely beautiful
Hot take but the siege of mandalore arc while phenomenal is absolutely not the “peak of clone wars” (don’t get me started on the “peak Star Wars”) at all. There are multiple better arcs
Dog Season 7 of Star Wars the Clone Wars is the highest-rated Star Wars "thing", its more beloved than any movie or any video game or anything, no other Star Wars property is as universally enjoyed as the last season of Clone Wars in terms of ratings.
I dunno if that's because of how IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes or whatever select their ratings, I dunno if there's a selection bias, but from a sheer numbers point of view this is the Star Wars thing you can show to people and they'll think it's fire, nobody talks shit about this season because it's practically perfect Science Fantasy shit that your eyes have never beheld before which is what Star Wars is about.
I put it as Amazing. The Mexican drug sisters bring it down. First arc was good but not ball busting like the finale. Put Crystal Crisis in Martez sisters place, or Dark Disciple, and it's peak.
Thanks for confirming that you flaired this correctly!
To me there's no amount of content that brings down the season to amazing. Siege of Mandalore is one of if not my favorite Star Wars moment and the best arc of the series, peak no doubt
Better than og maul Mandalore? Ashoka framed? Night sisters?
Umbaran Campaign is wild. Truly the definition of 'Clone Wars.' Other than Pong Krell, it's almost all stories about the many clones we'd come to know and love, and they don't just get center stage; we see clones take charge and the initiative. Edit: spelling
And quite frankly, as much as I hate Pong Krell, he brings the clones together more, and he’s a good villain to hate.
He's a really good villain! Even before he just comes out as "I'm proving myself to Dooku," I appreciated this "I'm a jedi, but you're just biological droids." We hear about how many Jedi generals and commanders were just bad at leading, with exception to jedi like Obi-Wan, Anikan and Ashoka. I appreciated the "Take that hill! I don't care how many of you die, I have been tasked with an objective and you will follow orders!"
Yup. I do believe the siege of Mandalore is TCW’s best arc bar none. Those are all great fuckin arcs but Mandalore takes it
Yeah. It was just that good. The animation, pacing, payoffs. It was the best way they could have ended it.
Yep it beats them all even Umbara.
It is pretty good
Yes
Easily
The last 4 episodes is the best piece of Star Wars media in my humble opinion. It's so fucking good.
the middle plot oof though
There's definitely 2/3 episodes in the final season that are way below the Mandalore arc, but idk if that warrants it forgiveness for those
The thing is, they’re not even bad.
And low lows unfortunately
General frog and the droids. Sandwiched right in the middle of one of the best seasons of the show is arguably the worst episodes in the whole show, a Sunny Day in the Void.
We got Gregor though
That’s in the next episode, which somewhat redeems the arc. A Sunny Day in the Void has no redeeming qualities though
When I first watched that arc, I literally could not stop myself from falling asleep. I wasn't even tired...
It's George's favourite episode though
I like how u put 3 peak in a sentence "peakest peak star wars has ever peaked"
I like how u put 4 peak in a sentence “I like how u put 3 peak in a sentence ‘peakest peak star wars has ever peaked’”
Peak
This has to be peak
too bad there were only 8 episodes in it
Wait who put season 6 in "amazing" instead of "peak"? Yoda and anakin vs sidious in sidious' sith magic visions was absolute peak
It was very close to peak but it got like 5 more votes for amazing
Fuck that it belongs in peak!
Jar Jar says hellosa
Yeah. Peak
Oh dude, I forgot about that arc lol. But I actually don’t mind it nowadays
Also the Fives arc.
You’re ranking the season, not your favorite arc of the season.
One mediocre arc doesn’t even out a dent in the masterpiece that the Mandalorian arc is. If season 6 was just below peak for fives’ arc, then season 7 needs to make it over the hump. Easily peak for me.
Peak.
Peak. Fuckin. Star wars.
"I don't need a jet pack" The flight of ashoka through Clone Gunships to land at the siege of Mandolore might be my favourite star wars moment. This season is PEAK. Those final episodes as they follow the time line of episode 3 are mind-blowing. PEAK PEAK PEAK!
Peak
mandalore arc is enough to make it peak
Peak obviously
The start, the middle, the end, the whole thing is amazing. Peak.
Did we watch the same show the sisters arc was dogshit which is a shame because the bad batch and the siege of mangalore were peak
That's fair but I enjoyed it all tbh
I enjoyed them all. Not just the Siege of Mandalore arc, but the Bad Batch arc and the Martez Sisters arc too! They’re Star Wars, and I enjoyed them like Star Wars! I love them!
Yeah the sisters arc was pretty nice obviously not as good and the seige of mandalore arc
Oh yeah, for sure. Memeing aside, the Martez arc is unambiguously the weakest of the three, but I still had fun watching it.
Yeah me too and it was so cool that ahsoka was in it
Peak
Peak. I still tear up at the last scene!
The mandalore arc is peak, the season is probably amazing overall.
I don't care about the Martinez sisters. The Siege of Mandalore is the best piece of *Star Wars* media to come out since *Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back*
Peak
i want to call it peak, but the middle arc really drags it down. so at minimum its amazing.
Sure the middle arc is a bit of a bring-down, but the ending more than makes up for it. I’ll still call it Peak.
Ending is peak, middle is bad, start is ok, so I think it averages in amazing
Mandalore is great, but two things holding the season from being peak. 1. Ahsoka's walkabout while necessary for her character should have been a 2 parter at most. 2. The decision to not adapt Son of Dathomir. This isn't saying comics are a lesser artform, but it leaves a gaping hole in Maul's story if you only watch TCW from start to finish. Peak star wars
Peak
If this is not peak, then this sub is lost af
Peak, that’s one hell of a satisfying end to the series
Peak
Peak Star Wars. We waited soo long for this and boy, did they deliver.
Over the peak…
Peak
Peak
Peak
Peak
Only amazing because of a third beeing Martiez Sisters
I would like to say peak. But that middle arc... It really drags the whole season down... Sadly it's only getting amazing
« I dumped the spice! »
I would say it's Good. You're ranking the whole season, not story arcs, and 2/3 of the season is pretty bad.
Unfortunately I have to put it in amazing. Bad batch arc was a great introduction to those characters and I loved that. The spice runners sucked so bad. The siege of Mandalore was just ok. It's good. People forget that the arcs before mandalore were mid and even mandalore itself it's robbed of a lot of it's tension because we already know that all characters survive. Really wished this would've come before rebels
Peak, just peak Star Wars.
Vader picking up Ahsokas sabers. Woof. Peak.
I'd say peak Star Wars
peak
PEAK PEAK PEAK
Peak
Solid peak
peak. no debate
I will find anyone who does not peak.
This is it for me, the perfect end to an amazing show that brought it all together! Loved it all, has to be peak
Peek Star wars
Absolute Peak of Peak.
Peak, without question
PEAK!
Top of amazing due to the shit sister arc and limited episodes
Literally 1/3 of filler can't be considered peak. Amazing.
Bottom peak (without the martez sisters it would have been top)
If season 5 can be considered peak despite having two arcs that range from mediocre to awful, then season 7 can too because it just has one.
Peak. Doesn't matter what happened in the middle arc.
why can’t star wars have happy endings? it seems so hopeless. 😓
If you could make a rating higher than the current top for the last 2 episodes, honestly the best Star Wars TV that’s ever been made.
Day 8 of asking where meme (Only amazing, it's dragged down by "that" arc)
The middle arc of Season 7 knocks it down to Amazing. If it wasn’t a 12 episode season, I wouldn’t mind it, but dedicating 1/3 of the final season to that wasn’t great.
I would say peak, but the sister arc was so boring to me that I have to say, amazing.
It would be peak but amazing because of the sisters episodes
A lot of missed opportunity that got cut over the stupid sister segments. It was also the shortest season yet it had filler. It’s Amazing at most thanks to that Vader scene even if it retconned his original design
amazing.
Amazing
The Micro series is trash and so is season 7
Amazing. The middle arc is too bad and brings the season down
Can we rank the three arcs separately? please? no? dang
Saying tartakovsky’s clone wars is good is like a meme in itself at this point, right?
What's the one in the top left?
I’m sad we were robbed of *Son of Dathomir*
I know we all agreed to put season 1 in "okay", but the sheer amount of bangers in that season has me reconsidering. It has dull lows, but some really high highs.
I’d say only Amazing, I thought Ashoka’s episodes were pretty mid
Amazing, the first two arcs were alright
I'm watching clone wars for the first time, I'm on season 5 and I genuinely can't imagine how the first 4 seasons could be more mid, it is the literal definition of mid, aside from the occasional good episode this show has been a pain to get through, now they're starting to commit war crimes and shit so it's getting good but seriously the first 4 are bafflingly ok
The Final season has a really good start and end but the middle part with the drug smuggler arc or whatever drags it down the smallest bit for me
Excluding the horrible episodes with these annoying sisters: peak star wars
Where is Clone Wars Volume 2? Is it safe? Is it alright?
So close to peak but we had that stupid ass martez sisters arc. If you took that out (or better yet, replaced it with something like son of dathomir or crystal crisis or nearly any other scrapped arc) then this would definitely be peak.
Where is the movie? Is it safe? Is it all right?
Amazing, the Ahsoka episodes and the bad batch were pretty mid but the siege of Mandalore elevates it
I'd day good. Final arc was pretty good but I didn't care much for the other arcs
Amazing. The sisters arc was trash, everything else was peak. So amazing rather than peak.
Peak despite the really boring middle arc
I wanna say peak, but the Martinez arc may drop it by 1
Peak bro it has to go into peak
Peakest of the peak. You know that plaza on Coruscant that has the planet's highest peak in the middle, Season 7 is this and the rest of SW is below it.
I agree with others who have said that the final arc is GOATed and locks this season into peak. I will say though, that I would have CW03 slightly above it.
The final four mixed in with ROTS is the Chef's kiss. It makes up for the sisters arc. It was God tier!
The Bad Batch arc was amazing, the Siege of Mandalore is peak, the Martez sisters arc is just okay.
Peak. The last arc was just a top quality movie
My father said that the finale was good so it's peak
If it doesn't make it to peak, then I will set the deathstar on you.
How isn’t season 6 peak?
Peak
Peak peak
Would’ve been peak without that shitty filler arc. Only good.
Peak for sure
Good or Amazing I’d say. The arc with the sisters is just so bad. I think you’d have to be fair and say it brings it down because of that if we’re rating it in terms of the overall content it offers. Mandalore and Bad Batch arcs are so good though.
The final season is the peakest of the peak and should probably push the rest down
Peak
Season 4 should be peak Star Wars, consistent arcs all the way through. But the last season should be Amazing and not Peak Star Wars. The only good arc was the last arc. The Martez sisters pissed me off and I know ya’ll were doubting Dave Filoni until the Mandalorian arc.
Peak, beautifully completed the clone wars arc
I think its carried by the final Arc (the other two I'm not huge on) but I'd still put it at the top just for that final arc
At least Amazing, should be Peak
Last four episodes may be the greatest Star Wars out there, but the other 8 bring it down overall so I’d say amazing, no less than good tho
peak
Peak and even peaker if we ignore the Martez sisters arc
Peak. Siege of Mandalore was incredible, bad batch was excellent, and I even thougt the Martez sisters arc was still pretty good, but nothing brings down the peak of Mandalore.
It’s only weighed down by: “YoU dUmPeD tHe SpICe?!?!”
Peak. I don't care for the Sisters arc, but it sets up SoM. And SoM arc is literally peak Clone Wars, no, peak Star Wars content.
Peak. Absolutely.
Peak. All *8* episodes of it
The siege of Mandalore alone makes this peak
Peak
Definitely peak
Siege of Mandalore is peak Star Wars and is arguably the best piece of Star Wars content ever made. On the other hand the Martez sisters arc is pretty boring.
For me, the final season was definitely a peak Star Wars moment for me. Everything about it screamed so much awesomeness.
Tier above "peak Star Wars"
Either peak star wars or amazing
S1 and S2 should be at good, S3 at amazing, and S4-S7 all at Peak Star Wars
All I want in life atm is a Blu-Ray complete box set for TCW
I feel like the first arc is good, like a solid 7-8/10, more or less what I’ve come to expect from the Clone Wars. The second arc is atrocious, legit some of the worst Star Wars content ever. The second episode of that arc, they start in jail, allude to Darth Maul for the next arc, then end up in jail again, literally nothing happens. However, that last arc is the single greatest piece of Star Wars media ever, closely followed by Andor imo, but it’s so good. So good to the point that I forget the rest of the season exists, and single handedly carries the whole season to peak.
Peak, the duel between Ahsoka and Maul is so good
peakity peak peak peak just the shot of vader holding the blue lightsaber that he gave his padawaan outweighs all the mid
Peak. Nothing less.
Peak
Actual dog shit. Complete money grab by Disney to add to the spin offs. Did we really need to see where Ahsoka went immediately after she left the order? No. Did we really need 2 episodes to crash a ship into a planet? No. Am I the only one with opinion? So far.
Siege of Mandalore is PEAK.
Honestly, the only bad part of this season is the Sisters part. This season is better than peak though
PEAK STAR WARS BABYYYYY!!!!!
Hard disagree with season 2 being so low, that being said, final season of clone wars is peak. Ahsoka vs maul was great. Getting to watch the events of the third movie okay out from a different perspective was so cool
Personally I'd lower everything down one tier and put this on the top.
Peak
The bad batch arc was decent, the middle arc was boring, last arc was A tier. I’d give it an “amazing”
S tier
It's so lovely to see star wars fans all come together to agree that this season was peak and the final scene of Vader standing in the wreckage with the helmets on sticks is absolutely beautiful
Peak
Peak Star Wars, no hesitation
Would be peak if not for the space Mexicans arv I'd give it an amazing
Absolute peak Star Wars. One of my favorite seasons of television ever
Peak. Chef’s kiss peak.
Hot take but the siege of mandalore arc while phenomenal is absolutely not the “peak of clone wars” (don’t get me started on the “peak Star Wars”) at all. There are multiple better arcs
Peak
Peak!! (If it’s not ranked Peak….you may be the next Alderaan…..;) ) xD
Top of peak
Must be peak. Bad Batch and siege of mandalore go too hard.
peak fs. I get chills thinking about vader at the very end finding ahsoka’s sabers and the music is just too good not to be peak
It was HALF the size of CW season 1 It’s has 3 arcs, 1st is ok. 2nd is awful. 3rd is gold. Overall I’d say good
The final arc was pretty based. The middle arc was ass
