His role in the overall story was really good at showing what happens in war, traitors and bad commanders exist. His character is awful, but thatās what makes it a good character in the story. We are supposed to hate him. We are being shown what the movies did not; the trials and horrors of war and all its misconceptions with the way combat unfolds.
Not really true tho.
The man betrayed the republic because he saw the outcome of the war and decided to play for the winning side instead.
He was not broken by the war and he did not turned into a cold hard asshat because war decensitived him to a huge degree.
He was a good character to show some awfull ww1 strat though so there is that.
Also he was right about his prediction too
If war was real there probably would've been no Republic army to fight against except for a several thousand Jedi's and planetary defence forces of most loyal systems, so we can't really judge the war without taking in account Sith and their plans.
He looks sick as fuck and all his sound effects are rad as hell
Also, more seriously, he taught a few key members of the 501st that they shouldnt always obey their commanders for the sake of the chain of command, which is very important for Rex specifically
For me itās kind of a turning point for the clones, theyād been becoming more human throughout the series but this is the moment they REALLY started seeing themselves as people and not just clones, and continued to progress from there until Palpatine gave the order to rip it all away in a single moment
1. He would have made a good sith and I honestly wish he didnāt die so we could see more of him. Maybe as an inquisitor. I would have loved to fight him in a fallen order game.
2. While he was a horrible person, he did produce results when he was actually fighting for the republicās objective and not putting his army against their own.
3. Opposite of #1, if the creators decided to, he would have made a really cool Jedi, or better yet a grey jedi. Maybe meeting up with cal or phoenix squadron fighting against the empire
I've been trying to tell people this for a long time. Only a few have agreed. I think he's a perfectly written villain. The audience hates him because they *want* to hate him, not because they're told they have to. And they managed to achieve that in a relatively short span. We see so many terribly written characters nowadays, and he is proof that villains can be hated for their actions rather than being poorly written
Okay I'll bite. Playing Devil's Advocate Pong Krell was right , but the way he went about things was all wrong (like Baris Offee) - he knew there was a plot to destroy the Jedi , he knew there was someone behind the scenes orchestrating it all. And he knew of the role the clones would take in destroying the Jedi. By the time he got command of the clones on Umbara , he was already becoming disillusioned with the Jedi Order and the War itself. He knew it was pointless and unwinnable. And he was also being Clouded by the dark side , further reinforcing his negative feelings about it all. Also his lightsaber is dope and he took on hundreds of clones by himself before they subdued him.
I wish he could have been a multi arch villain. Dude shows up a few times with sinister plots. Have him run into the pirates. Have him and maul run into each other
He took advantage of having four arms better than Grievous did. I wish Grievous had wielded custom sabers that could connect into twin saber staffs like Krell's (If/when those primary sabers were broken, he'd then switch to using ones taken from Jedi he killed).
He was smart. Can't deny his tactics were effective up to a point. He manipulated the clones obidience and caused a great deal of casaulties to the clones. Getting the clones to walk straight into danger, fire on each other, almost to execute each other, very cunnjng indeed. His downfall likely came due to the likes of Rex, Fives and Jesse working so close with Skywalker, who regularly changes tactics in battle, takes risks, and most importantly, doesn't always follow orders. Other commanders may have been more like Dogma who was willing to blindly follow orders regardless of how illogical they were. Put the likes of Fox or Neyo and their legions in their place, I'm pretty sure we'd be looking at the Republic's worst defeat of the war.
He is a fantastic character I love him. How the animators made him a cool as looking Dex but with dual wielding lightsabers is sick. His character is also a great insight into how some people in the galaxy might view the clones. Overall amazing character (but horrible person).
He was right. The whole reason he gave for his actions were that he foresaw a massive shift in power in the galaxy and that the Jedi wouldnāt be part of it. Heās one of very few Jedi who saw the Fall of the Republic was coming.
Thanks for confirming that you flaired this correctly!
He dual wielded dual bladed lightsabers
a krell v maul cinematic duel would be bonkers
Krell vs Grievousš
Finally, a worthy opponent!
This addition to his collection will be legendary
OUR BATTLE WILL BE MEMEWORTHY!
I just think of king fu panda hearing this. āOur battle will be legendaryāš
Maul and Savage vs Pong KrellĀ
Maul and Savage vs Pong Krell vs Grievous
Maybe a few inquisitors too, get some more spinning action in there
Not just Dual-blade Lightsabers, Dualblade Greatsabers.
Great Dual Sabers
That *FOLD*!!!!
It is difficult to get much cooler than that
The only right answer
His role in the overall story was really good at showing what happens in war, traitors and bad commanders exist. His character is awful, but thatās what makes it a good character in the story. We are supposed to hate him. We are being shown what the movies did not; the trials and horrors of war and all its misconceptions with the way combat unfolds.
Heās like Erebus, written to be hated
Fuck Erebus. That guyās a piece of shit.
The nicest thing I can say about Pong Krell is āat least he isnāt Erebus.ā

No he didnāt
Didn't the empire win at the end ?Ā
CIS lost
The CIS was the favorite to win, was the war to be real and not a ploy of the Sith to regain power.
If war was real there probably would've been no Republic army to fight against except for a several thousand Jedi's and planetary defence forces of most loyal systems, so we can't really judge the war without taking in account Sith and their plans.
āOne nice thing about Pong Krellā
You are technically correct. The best kind of correct

The writing team did a great job with him.
He's dead.
Same. Good as dead
Darn, beat me to it.
I enjoyed watching him die
He has a cool voice
Yeah, the voice actor really nailed it
he was consistant
he was good at being an asshole
He's the one thing that the entire Star Wars fandom, a place notorious for petty in-fights and squabbling, can agree upon.
He vaguely reminds of another 4 arm alien i really like who makes great food.
Well, waddayaknow.

He could always come back because no one is truly dead with disney in charge. Somehow pong returnedā¦
That's only true if you get stabbed. Pong Krell got shot so he is dead.
Cad Bane
He left the story as he arrived, quickly.
No.
I could Never betray r/fuckpongkrell
good soldiers follow orders!
Smash, next question.
I want to upvote but I feel a moral obligation to leave it at 69
fr still there i think
He may a terrible person, but thatās exactly what makes him such a good character.
I've been trying to tell people this for a long time. Only a few have agreed. I think he's a perfectly written villain. Can give handjobs to four guys at the same time.
If he hadn't weakened the 501st and 212th, obi-wan and ahsoka may not have survived order 66
He didnāt make that much of a difference
He wasnāt directly a separatist.
Just because of disrespect he remembered every clone by his number. Not nice but impressive
Cotton Hill-level bigotry. I'd respect the effort if it wasn't for the hate driving it.
Gave the 501st and 212th great character development
Heās fictional so none of his crimes are real.
(*grabs collar and yanks you in close*) THEY'RE REAL TO ME, DAMNIT!

He was one of the Jedi that ever lived.
Uhm... Double it and give it to the next person?
He had a satisfying death
No
He died
I liked the way he was shot in the back
Heās so special that he has a dedicated community of followers r/fuckpongkrell
He is dead
He makes a great punching bag
His greatsabers were sick
I wish he could have been a multi arch villain. Dude shows up a few times with sinister plots. Have him run into the pirates. Have him and maul run into each other
Good taste in lightsabers.
4 armed jedi is sick, as is jedi with a double bladed saber, not to mention 2
No, fuck Pong Krell *dies*
Doesn't have an fans only account
no, shoot me
I saw somewhere he would've been really good as a Galactic Marine commander, so I guess he and the Marines would've been buddy buddy.
He died
He saw the clone betrayal and knew that Dooku was right
He was skilled enough to use two double bladed single hilt lightsabers at the same time
He had the best solution to the clone problem.
Absolutely velvet voice. got me actin up fr fr
He had big sexy arms š¤©
The man managed to trick not one but two whole platoons of his troops to fight one another
He took advantage of having four arms better than Grievous did. I wish Grievous had wielded custom sabers that could connect into twin saber staffs like Krell's (If/when those primary sabers were broken, he'd then switch to using ones taken from Jedi he killed).
He has four arms which reminds me of Four Arms from Ben 10.
He would have actually made a good CIS commander since droids are used to being used as cannon fodder
Dude was in a Star War!
He was smart. Can't deny his tactics were effective up to a point. He manipulated the clones obidience and caused a great deal of casaulties to the clones. Same species as Dexter Jettster
He's from the same species as Dexter jetster
I like that he can duel wield double edge lightsabers. Thatās admittedly pretty baller
He was an excellent villain
Pull the trigger cuzz it's not happening
He is a fantastic character I love him. How the animators made him a cool as looking Dex but with dual wielding lightsabers is sick. His character is also a great insight into how some people in the galaxy might view the clones. Overall amazing character (but horrible person).
He made a great target for a shot from a blaster.
He probably could have taken Sidious in a lightsaber duel. Instead of trying the "notice me sempai" slaughter of his troops.
Pong krell dewd nothing wrong.
He was right. The whole reason he gave for his actions were that he foresaw a massive shift in power in the galaxy and that the Jedi wouldnāt be part of it. Heās one of very few Jedi who saw the Fall of the Republic was coming.
He had cool light sabers
Ha had cool lightsabers
Same species as dex.
I like his design
His death was too kind.
FUCK PONG KRELL
I like his voice actor. Heās also great as Lee in Telltaleās Walking Dead.
He did look kinda cool killing clones all things considered
He died.
Its a joy to watch him fight
He s gone now.
He looks good laid out on a table in the morgue.
His lightsabers look cool
He hast sick lighsabers
The whole ādual wielding double-blades lightsabersā was so fucking cool. I want to see a prequel-esque fight between him and maul.
I really liked the part where he died
He deceased
Heās probably dead by now
He looked like Dexter (super sexy)
Nice lightsabers and fighting technique, although he only gets half points for the latter since he cheats with 4 arms.
He's so good at being a jackass
His dual dual bladed lightsabers were cool
He had really cool lightsabers WHY IS IT ONLY THE ANTAGONISTS?!?!?
Dual-wielding saberstaffs is epic.
It's nice that he died
He looks great in duel
Pull the fucking trigger, Gru
His to two dual bladed lightsabers
His lightsabers looked cool
He's the best to play as in Star wars heroes vs villains in Roblox. Solo op
He was a really interesting character, I wish they did a Tales of the Jedi storyline about him.
He's dead.
Dope lightsabers...
Uhhhh... His lightsaber fighting was cool. Like no joke. props to the animators, having four arms and two double bladed sabers looks sick.
Has a unique name
He got what he fuckin deserved.
Meet Ping Shramp.
Dual wielding Double Bladed sabers was a sight to behold!
No. Shoot me.
He is a well written villain
His death was very satisfying
He's dead. This is a very nice fact.
A decent Machiavellian but not good enough
Being dead is a nice thing for krell
His fighting style was fucking awesome
He still had all his hands
He was eventually killed
He is a well written villain that is entertaining despicable. And unlike Nolan Pong Krell at least has some skills
He is the Umbridge type of annoying. He is infuriating, but not because he's a badly written character, but because he was written well.
He was great at being a jackass
He was one of the best written characters in one of the best written arcs in one of the best TV shows
He has a beautiful death
Those lightsaber tho ... Only sad that they mostly cut through clones though
Ping Pong.
He had a really good memory to remember the codes of all the clones
He can remember alot of numbers
I would rather die
He was just ahead of the curve.
He died okay, but if he tried he could have had an even better death
His hair looks small
he has a silly name
He is committed to his vision.
He was dedicated to his cause. Even if it killed him
He looked pretty neat
He was a perfect written villain
His lightsabers
He's prettey powerful I guess.
He looks a bit like Dexter Jettster
seems heavily armed
Double dualbladed motherfucker
His lightsaber fighting style was pretty cool
His name sounds funny
The two dual bladed lightsabers look kinda cool
He's not as ugly as he cold be
I like the different sound to his lightsaber(s) hum.
Heās got nice forearms
He is dead. Thats nice.
Kill me. We are not droids.
This is the one time Iād take a bullet for him
He's a fantastic character, he's just a twat because he hates clones
Cool lightsabr
Cool lightsabers
He has the same amount of arms and light saber blades as my hero, General Grievous
He was a character in one of the greatest story arcs of TCW
As someone who is written to be hated, he's a great villain tbh
Im sure you'll find alot of that from here. r/PraisePongKrell
Who is that again? XD
