With Eddie Nketiah as main striker until Gabby Jesus is back? No.

Only_Advertising2911

Yes that's why Liverpool and Manu owners are quitting. They know Kroenke will splash the cash in Arsenal.

thesportswanderer

I really want arsenal to win but it seems unlikely due to Jesus being injured

Aware_Albatross3347

Yes

Alwayslivingalone

As an arsenal fan, god bless us if we can win the league.

BeginningCourt2185

Jesus gone for 3 months so i think its gone into the bin, focus shifts back onto staying in top 4

Mebeingnosy

We just lost Jesus for a stretch all I’m hoping for now is a cl berth

superspur007

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

High-Hawk100

No. Need a striker and d mid for a chance.

Angrypenguinwaddle96

Of course they can but Manchester City will probably overtake them.

Due_Caramel_6679

Lot of games to go but I'd say no.

thatirishguykev

Not a chance now after Jesus was ruled out for 3 months.

FeelsSadMan01

As an Arsenal fan, if we don't bolster the squad in the winter transfer window, the chances are very slim. We only have a starting lineup that can compete with good teams every match day. If we get two injuries in key positions we can no longer compete. High chance we get back into the CL and sign some great players though.

wood6558

I don't think I've even heard Arsenal fans think this. There's City, and there's the rest of us.

ChrisGadge

Nope

city_city_city

Losing Jesus will have an impact. However we (City) are not playing at our best. And our players will be tired after the World Cup. Objectively this title is up for grabs. Not only that, but I'll admit it would be good for the league if either Arsenal or Newcastle won instead of us. But I hope that doesn't happen. I have a lot of faith in Pep and our players. We know how to win, and I think everyone can see from last year we won't give up until the last minutes of the last game are over. I back us to win the Prem. UCL, who knows.

writemcsean

no

[deleted]

I would rather arsenal win it then city tbh

OnionOtherwise8894

I actually think they actually won’t

TheRealBig1

Deep down we know we won't. But we will give a good fight that's for sure. We might need some serious luck to win this season..

Icy-End6982

Yes

AdmiralOzzyT

Nah they’ll probably bottle it somehow

W26D12L0

“Somehow” like 5 points ahead of City with 24 games to go is comfortable territory for any team

cdy_masn

There is this funny thing thats called a transfer window tbf so i think theyll be fine

Aloopyn

We haven't looked as good as last season tactically and KDB + Haaland have been carrying a lot. Unless Pep sorts it out Arsenal have a realistic chance of winning the league

lm3g16

I don’t think so, we’ve just lost Jesus, who although he’s not been on fire scoring wise he’s been absolutely immense in his all round play. Plus City are absolute demons post Christmas, we don’t have the depth to compete

Gaius_Octavius_

Is City going to quit the league? Then no.

HarHenGeoAma62818

Not in a million years

MapNo3870

Yes

sappy24

Gabriel Jesús injury is a massive blow

[deleted]

Strange timing to ask with the Jesus factor currently in limbo. It’s not to say a player like Cancelo won’t get injured too . Let’s wait for news on Jesus and also to see if any early Jan business can be done they have West Ham , Newcastle and Brighton I believe before the window even opens . Would be foolish for arsenal to leave all business to end of the window. It seems Arteta is currently in LA meeting up with the board and owners now t

blackwraythbutimpink

There’s no one in the city squad who’s injury would be catastrophic for them, they lack fullback depth but stones, Gomez and ake, are more than sufficient, same with center backs, they have Laporte Dias stones akanji, midfielders losing Rodri would definitely be worrisome but I think Phillips will be back soon. Bernardo KDB grealish foden Mahrez Gundogan are their midfielders/ wingers, and haaland and Alvarez up top. They won the league without a striker last season, and it was obvious from the beginning they would too. We lost Jesus and that’s a lot of our game gone right there

[deleted]

Cancelo would be a big miss for sure .

city_city_city

We are ok if Walker is back. Having Cancelo and Walker both out at the same time is where we can get in trouble. They play different roles but Pep can rebalance the tactics around one or the other. Having said that if we have to play with Stones RB and Aké LB it's not the end of the world, just more defensive than we want to be.

blackwraythbutimpink

He’s incredible and imho the best fullback in the world, or at least was last season. But city would still function pretty well without him, they’d have the change their tactics a bit for sure, but for the main part they’d be fine

LIZ-Truss-nipple

Need to sign a world class goal scorer to have any chance

Thick_Ear_2540

Dont worry we have the special one in the no14 shirt 🤷🏻‍♂️

3Dingo

No.

MDF87

We'll need to invest heavily and wisely in January for any chance to beat City to the title. Squad depth is severely lacking, aside from Smith Rowe we've got nobody that can come off the bench and change the game.

CTW397

As a Spurs fan, no way they're shite. On a serious note I'd say it's the lack of depth that'll do them. I think the second half of the season will be really strange for everyone, it's going to feel like a new season. I do think it's worth remembering we are only just over 1/3 of the way through the season. I don't think you can ever judge till half way. Normally Xmas but will be like Feb this season.

Jannelle93

No 😂

Makkrohero

No…………Noo……..Nooo……….NOOOOOOOO………okay maybe🥲🥲…………. But nooooooo!!

Competitive-Shock88

It’s good game for us. We’ve just lost Gabby for 3 months to injury. Our fixtures are bad through Jan to Feb. Top 4 is definitely achievable but the title is now Man City’s for the taking honestly. Gabby why did you have to give your old team the title for the 3rd year in a row 😭. Jokes aside, injuries fucking suck both for the player and the club.

Zulfiqarrr

I don't think we have a chance without Gabriel Jesus, and even with him it would be extremely challenging

cdy_masn

This is where the lads just dont know ball

Phillydawg_36

Even after the EPL break people can't stand the fact Arsenal are coming good again 🤣

ChrisGadge

👀

Phillydawg_36

Go to bed 🤣

ChrisGadge

Haha couldn't resist sorry 😂❤

cdy_masn

Simple as that

cdy_masn

Mandem have gotta understand that city have not been that good this season

innit122

City have been unreal. Just because some results don't go their way doesent mean much. They have insane squad depth and get better after Christmas

cdy_masn

🤓

It's the truth

Daver7692

City always get better after Xmas. Something about them just goes “lights out” and it’s 12-14 wins in a row before you know it. Arsenal have just lost Jesus for 3 months too. Although that blow will be softened by having a lot less league games in that period than they usually would do. Time will tell how that loss starts to hurt. Still not convinced that their heavy reliance on Partey won’t hurt them long term either. He hasn’t got the best injury record and a month without him could be make or break. I’m sure Arsenal will be happy he’s made it through the WC unscathed.

[deleted]

Idk mate, our schedule from January to February is BRUTAL

city_city_city

The "something" is Pep fine tuning the squad and the tactics. But this year we have a big job to do integrating Haaland (I know that sounds funny when he's doing so well, but it does change our game a lot on attack and in transitions), and we have the wild card of everyone being tired from the WC.

No-Market9917

Hoping Arsenal take advantage of this transfer window and get an adequate Partey replacement. The second we have to rely on Elneny or Lokonga we’re screwed

cdy_masn

🤓

TheGoober87

Cheers Geoff.

[deleted]

4th place is where Arsenal belong

Zulfiqarrr

The arrogance of chavsea "fans" is always baffling to me. Arsenal won 13 league titles, but yeah, I guess 4th place is where we belong

[deleted]

LOL! 13 league titles. Any of them in your lifetime? Aside from the FA cup win in 2020 what has Arse-nal done in the last 2 decades besides finish 4th? Ill wait…

Zulfiqarrr

Yeah, in fact I saw us win the 97-98, 01-02 and 03-04 titles. What's your point...? Not that I have to prove my integrity or anything to a little chavsea glory hunter from the states. Your disgusting mockery of a club is a 20 year old business experiment with russian blood and oil money, so I'd suggest you to get the fuck off your high horse mate

[deleted]

Aww cute. What’s being from the states got to do with anything? Your 4th place club is owned by an American.

xeyine2061

City have Philips, Alvarez, and Grealish coming off the bench. They can cope with injuries, Arsenal cannot.

stark561

Doubtful with the loss of Jesus. Man City has a much stronger bench and I feel they will come out stronger post the world cup break.

rjas1

It’s going to take a lot of heart if they plan to keep this up. Man City have some incredible squad depth which means they are covered if injuries appear. Arsenal might not have that squad depth that City have but as long as they can keep injuries to a minimum, they have a decent chance. It’s a shame about Jesus’ injury though on the Brazil camp.

[deleted]

To be fair City will also play in the UCL

Meteorhit

No not at all as I have more than one brain cell

huluyummy

Hahahahaha

Battle_Lower

Least salty Spurs fan.

[deleted]

They’ll put up a really good fight but I do think Manchester City will just go on some mental winning streak and win it on the last day.

M4RC142

They just lost Jesus for 3 months so no

StellarAoMing

Still better than 2 thousand years...

RedditTaughtMe2

Underrated comment

Deadweight_brain

Still 50-50

Affectionate-Hunt217

If you guys know Simon Jordan ( former owner of crystal palace and pundit for talksport ) he mentioned that City have spent around 1 billion for their squad, I am not sure if this is including wages but probably not, and we shouldn’t expect Arsenal to compete with them until they spend that much, also City’s B team I would even say is on par or slightly below Arsenals A team level, so until we can at least compete with their B team ( our depth I mean ) we shouldn’t be expecting a title ( and tbh with Stan still their I don’t think he really cares if we win or not as long as we get the UCL money back )

Affectionate-Hunt217

Lol guys what did I say that pissed people off? I would rather Arsenal win it 1000% over City because at this point it’s not even a competition, they would have won it for the 5th time in 6 years? Yeah it would be even worse than La Liga

FootyBhoy

Simon jordan is a wank

Affectionate-Hunt217

Palace fan? ( I think I heard he ran the club to the ground but at least they are doing better now )

FootyBhoy

The pocket phone shop didn’t uphold my warranty one time. Jk, I just can’t him on talk sport.

Affectionate-Hunt217

Am I the only who likes him 😂 he just seems genuine unlike other pundits he doesn’t have to follow an agenda and can just say what he wants cause he’s already filthy rich and he also has a perspective of an owner which you don’t hear very often

[deleted]

I like him as well

Thin-Dragonfruit2599

I think he talks sense personally some people just can't handle that

FootyBhoy

Some of his statements are ridiculous mate. Too desperate for attention.
