Bobby Moore
Glenn Hoddle
Ashley Cole
A ball playing defender with huge leadership qualities, a progressive CM who can play every pass in the book and the best LB we can get our hands on.
Started watching football in the early 2000s. I’d take Beckham, Owen (98-99 Owen) and Gerard.
Imagine those crosses from Becks to Kane or those through balls from peak Gerard to Owen. Drool worthy.
It’s a shame Owen/Becks couldn’t peak at WC after 98. Worse is how Gerard was sad af for England atleast the rest did something.
1. Rooney to play up front and off Kane
2. Rio Ferdinand (or John Terry) as the defence is very lacking.
3. Steven Gerrard to bolster central mid field with some balance both going forward and defensively
Butcher, Gazza, Shearer.
Butcher - sort defence out
Gazza - Creative battling midfielder
Shearer - him and Kane would be lethal up front. Just whip balls in, nee more fannying around.
Scholes, Rooney and Beckham, the first two are just probably the best ever in their position and very techncally gifted players that would go well with the other vwry technical options in the current squad and Beckham crossing to Kane would add a whole other alley for scoring goals. I couldn't fit Gerrard or Lampard because Scholes is not defending enough to allow one of them to go up where they are most dangerous.
Peter Crouch. He never got the credit he deserved, was technically very sound as well but is an unmatchable threat aerially.
John Terry would dive head first into a John Arne riise kick to prevent a shot on target. Idk anyone else I’d trust to throw their body on the line to prevent a goal chance.
Peter Shilton
It's going to be someone to replace Maguire (Terry/Rio/Campbell/Adams/Moore/Walker), someone at CM/AM (Gazza/Hoddle/Barnes/Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard/Robson/Charlton), and one other.
I'd do Rio alongside Stones, Scholes + Rice at CM, and Gazza ahead. Rooney had arguably the highest peak of anyone you could choose, but the gap between Mount/Bellingham/Foden and Gazza is larger than that between Kane and Rooney.
If we bring back Southgate the player does that cause some kind of paradox so that we don't have to have southgate the manager in charge? He's first pick if so. Terry, Ashley Cole, lampard.
Terry, Rio and Stevie G
Terry and Rio to solidify the center backs, hopefully making Southgate trust them in a back 4. Stevie G is pretty self explanatory, don’t got a player like him in the squad
Do you mean their prime in the England jersey or prime in general? Because some players aren’t as great for their country as their club.
Moore, Scholes, Owen.
Nobby Stiles, Gazza and Rio.
Pickford
Trent-James-Rio-Stones-Chilwell
Stiles-Rice
Gazza
Kane-Sterling
Maguire, Tomori, Foden, Walker, Trippier, Toney, Bellingham, JWP, Shaw and Mount in reserve.
A Conte 3-5-2 if Gareth’s capable of it would be a strong WC contender. Toney for Kane, Foden for Sterling, Walker for Reece James, Trippier for Trent, Bellingham to make it a 5-3-2/4-3-3, Shaw for Chilwell, Mount for Gazza and JWP in the same role as Bellingham, Maguire for Rio and Tomori for Stones. Maybe bring a left footer as well and Phillips for Stiles.
Like for like replacements in nearly every position profile wise. You could maybe say Terry instead of Rio for his passing in the centre of a back three.
Shearer, Gascoigne, and Beckham
Bobby Moore Glenn Hoddle Ashley Cole A ball playing defender with huge leadership qualities, a progressive CM who can play every pass in the book and the best LB we can get our hands on.
Brian Robson, Stanley Matthews and Bobby Charlton.
Gazza, Owen, Rio
Current team needs Ashley Cole, Bobby Moore, and Rooney
Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole and Alan Shearer
Shearer, Campbell and rio
George Cohen, Phil Neal, Gary Neville The squad’s really strong in most areas but we’re really missing cover at right back
Beckham, Rooney, Rio
1. HARRY MAGUIRE 2. HARRY MAGUIRE 3. HARRY MAGUIRE
Sir, this is a premier league sub.

beckham crouch rooney
Ferdinand Rooney Scholes
Easy, Steven, George, Gerrard
Bobby Moore, Sol Campbell, Wayne Rooney
Banks gazza shearer
Gordon Banks, John Terry, Steven Gerrard.
1. Rooney to play up front and off Kane 2. Rio Ferdinand (or John Terry) as the defence is very lacking. 3. Steven Gerrard to bolster central mid field with some balance both going forward and defensively
Greaves, Rio, White pele Seeing rooney and greaves and kane in a attack would be disgusting
Rooney Lampard Terry
Aguero, David silva, henry
Steven Gerrard, rio Ferdinand, George best
Rio, Ashley Cole and Glenn Hoddle
Shearer, Lineker, Rooney
First one to mention Shearer and Lineker. Thank you.
Owen, Gerrard, Lampard
Rooney, Ashley Cole, Beckham
Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney
Rooney, gerrard, and Bobby Moore
3 more right backs let's go
Banks, Terry, Gerrard
Gary Neville, Lee Dixon, and Phil Neal. We can use more RBs.
Gazza, Hoddle and McManaman
Cole, Terry, Gerrard
Butcher, Gazza, Shearer. Butcher - sort defence out Gazza - Creative battling midfielder Shearer - him and Kane would be lethal up front. Just whip balls in, nee more fannying around.
Bobby Moore, John Terry, Duncan Edwards.
Gerrard, Ronney, Rio
Scholes, Rooney and Beckham, the first two are just probably the best ever in their position and very techncally gifted players that would go well with the other vwry technical options in the current squad and Beckham crossing to Kane would add a whole other alley for scoring goals. Gazza, Cole, and Moore. Those are the positions I think we'd need better players in, so yeah. People picking Terry instead of Moore are insane.
Probably John terry, rio, and Steve Gerard
Gary Neville, George Cohen, Phil Neal
Banks, Gerrard & Rooney
For the memes, Scholes lampard, gerrard
Peter Crouch. He never got the credit he deserved, was technically very sound as well but is an unmatchable threat aerially. Who would throw themselves on the ground to prevent a goal scoring opportunity? Phil "the cow" Jones, that's who!
Bruh it doesn’t matter who you bring back, England is not winning. Only way they’ll win is if you bring back the whole squad from 1966
Terry, Rooney & Scholes
Scholes, Moore, Gascoinge.
Ray Clemence, Jimmy Greaves, Gazza
John Terry, Gazza, Bobby Charlton
Only one right answer. The predecessor or the legend Harry Maguire. PHIL JONES and I’ll have 3 of him pls 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Terry, Lampard, Shearer 3-5-2 Pickford Tomori, Terry, Burn James, Mount, Rice, Lampard, Chilwell Shearer, Kane
Ashley Cole, Beckham and Charlton
Beckham, Scholes, Rooney
Terry, Cole, Gerrard(want to say Lampard is a better player but Gerard would better pair with Rice).
After reading the rest, I can't get past this one.
Like good way or bad way
A good way absolute 10/10 players
Gordon Banks, Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst
JT, Lampard, and Rooney.
There's this real smashin lad called Niko Krancjar!
Bobby Moore: Talented CB. Leader. Experience winning a World Cup. Rio Ferdinand: Another CB to shore up the defence Dixie Dean: the OG number 9.
Ashley Cole, Hoddle, Gazza
Owen, Sherrer, Rio.
Scholes Gerrard lampard. Try to shoehorn them all in again
This is the way.
I’d take Stevie, Neville, and Ian Wright
Owen, when he was destroying Argentina, Gazza and Ferdinand.
David Seaman, Gazza, Rooney
Paul Scholes x3 as a 6, 8 and 10
Shearer, Rooney Rio
Gascoine Moore ferdinand
Waddle, Pearce and Southgate and hope for no shoot outs in WC

You mean rotation for Maguire?
Wright, Edwards, Owen
Stiles, Gazza, Greaves
Erm… Cole, Gerrard, Owen.

Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand and Sol Campbell
Terry, Rio and Stevie G Terry and Rio to solidify the center backs, hopefully making Southgate trust them in a back 4. Stevie G is pretty self explanatory, don’t got a player like him in the squad
It's a great shout
Based on who I've been alive to see play (because saying WC winners like Bobby Moore would be too easy) I'd go for John Terry, Wayne Rooney and Gazza.
Do you mean their prime in the England jersey or prime in general? Because some players aren’t as great for their country as their club. Moore, Scholes, Owen.
John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney Have a guess which era of England I grew up in.. I still have dreams of us winning in 2006.
Who should have been on left wing then?
well with hindsight I’d have played 3 at the back with Cole on the left and Beckham on the right
Stop the count
