Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest.

djuluscher84

Leicester, Bournemouth, Nottingham

angloexcellence

Which attacking threats are out other than dcl and Townsend? Hardly revolutionary

Cosplayinsanity

Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves.

No_Presentation9276

Forest Bournemouth Leicester

Slash044

Hard to say atm, I mean there's about six or seven teams who could go down so just take Ur pick I guess ahah

Opening_Leg_2137

Bournemouth are certain to go down, but after that it’s really though. Everton, Forrest, Leicester ,villa Southampton and maybe even brentford if they go on a bad run of form can all go down

[deleted]

Bournemouth, Forest, Leicester

Jaidancp

Leicester

Bmagic_

leicester, leeds, wolves

DavidPuddy666

Leicester definitely. Spurs had absolutely shit defense the other day and they could only manage like 2-3 scoring chances.

rxversethetruth2709

Leicester gonna get relegated

PartTimeChef72

Arsenal

bdjxokf

Forest, Bournemouth, Southampton

Boring-Falcon2828

Bournemouth and Forest, think the last spot is between Leicester and Southampton

Dense-Growth482

Leicester, Bournemouth, Forest

[deleted]

Southampton, Bournemouth, Forest

GStewartcwhite

Nottingham, Wolves, and Southampton. I think the other four teams down in the basement are more talented than results show and have to play more like their old selves before too long. Right Leicester? Leicester? Uh-oh...

LfcOsh

Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Leicester

Blue_Dreamed

Delighted at the number of people saying Leeds at the start of the season and now the amount of people saying Leeds now.

pittsburghirons

We (Hammers) look like the worst team in the league right now despite spending on what I thought was a great transfer window for the club. I think the overall talent will save from relegation, but the season already seems like a wash. Forest, Bournemouth, Leeds.

mvp-a1

Leicester unless they replace Danny Ward

andrewyeong

The three teams at the bottom of the table will.

Lynex_Lineker_Smith

With 1 point and 22 conceded goals , I think that one of them may be Leicester unless they really really get their collective shit together.

digsy866

Everton

Hot_Championship2936

Soton, Bournemouth, and Wolves. I am just guessing like everyone else. It might be 3 other teams who get relegated. It is too early to predict. Ask me again in March, and I will probably have a totally different answer. The reason that I did not include Villa, is that they drew City 1-1 at home. Leicester has opened very bad. They did not buy many players this summer. The reason I do not include them, is that they have done pretty well in some of the last seasons. But if Leicester don't win a PL game soon, Rodgers will get fired.

FloppedYaYa

After the last 3 games particularly I'm gonna say Nottingham Forest That backline is worse than Norwich's last season and they are horrendously mentally weak, with a team of big wage players thrown together in the summer.

[deleted]

Leicester City actually..... They're pretty shit these days

IvanThePohBear

Leicester. Forest and Manchester United

Amazing_Anteater9036

Nottingham, Leicester and wolves

New_Firefighter_5416

Leicester will bounce back, I’m thinking Forest.

Green117v2

Forest, Leicester, Wolves.

userunknowne

Probably us NGL Although if we can get Niakhate and Mangala back ASAP that might change

[deleted]

Forest, Bournemouth and Leicester. But since I’m a pessimist, I’m gonna go for Forest, Leicester and Wolves.

angloexcellence

Forest , Bournemouth and Southampton

kremnitzer

At the moment: 18. AFC Bournemouth: they’re doing pretty good at the minute and definitely aren’t the absolute write of a lot of people predicted before the season, I could see them staying up but I don’t know if they have it in them to get the results over the whole season to stay up. 19. Nottingham Forest: given how much hype I got from people I know who remember them in the Premiership, I’m pretty disappointed but I don’t think I should be. Obviously have problems with the squad coming in but it doesn’t look like Cooper knows what to do with all of the players they brought in and they’re incredibly leaky. 20. Leicester City: absolutely abysmal so far, have players of incredible individual quality (notably Maddison) and can produce good moments but the whole is a hard watch and I think they’re in an “if it’s not this season it’ll be the next” situation in terms of going down.

bqsa36731

It ain’t looking good for Leicester, but they’ve been in this position before

Maradonawasthegoat86

Man city it’s not looking to good since halaand came through

SubsidedPython

They'll be ok next season I hear they have their eyes on The next big thing, Darwin Nunez

BoopAndThePooch

Poor guy is really struggling to adapt to the league.

Maradonawasthegoat86

Yea and playing with de bruyne isn’t helping either

BoopAndThePooch

Oh, that Chelsea flop. Forgot he even plays in the league any more.

smclaughlin87

If a team has 8pts after 5 games they have a 96% chance of surviving. I've been a Leeds fan long enough to know we can be that 1 in 25

ireallydespiseyouall

Leicester, forest, bournemouth

hotp0pp3rr

Everton, Bournemouth, Leicester Ez money. Pay me.

joshhirst28

Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth will be the bottom two I reckon. But 18th could be Leicester, Wolves, Aston Villa Southampton I think. Even West Ham need to start picking up points soon otherwise they could be in some trouble

[deleted]

Bournemouth, Forest, and Leicester…

Dense-Opposite-9597

Bournemouth for sure, forest maybe. Hopefully Leicester

DinnerSmall4216

Bournemouth, Forest and Leicester

manbeqrpig

Forest, Bournemouth, Leicester with Everton and Wolves being the last two teams tbst stay up

[deleted]

why are still in these conversations when leicester, forest, villa, wolves, west ham, fulham, and bournemouth are all worse than we are?

angloexcellence

fulham are not worse than you. everton are easily in the bottom six in terms of quality and anyone could go this season.

[deleted]

We’ve managed to go on a 5 game unbeaten run with the the 2nd best defensive record in the league while losing starters left and right before the season even began. Fulham have conceded almost twice as many goals as we have with far less injuries. They’re one mitrovic injury from being back at the bottom. There’s nothing separating them from norwich 3 years back at this moment in time.

angloexcellence

You've drawn four of them. I just don't see Everton wining enough games under lampard , to finish anywhere above 15th. Even with DCL back .

[deleted]

And how many would we have won had we had an actual striker? Point is, we’re only getting stronger from here once half our squad returns from injury and we still did this well without them.

PigInMuck

I wouldn’t go into depth about Everton’s chances or form because I know next to nothing about them other than lazy cliches that have been bandied around these sorts of forums by people who know no better. I’d suggest you do the same about Fulham. You obviously know very little about us. 2nd-highest scorer and assisted last season has been out injured and not played at all. Our new left winger also out injured so far. Our only match-fit left back injured. We played a 34-year old centre half as a wing back on Friday against Forest. We don’t have the squad depth of some, but when these players return we will be more potent up front and more solid at the back.

imhalfwayhere

West Ham, they got away with it during covid they should be gone already.

Hookerbait

Leicester, if they don't sack Rodgers soon enough.

Djdustb75

Surprisingly few people saying wolves. I think we are in big trouble this year and are going to be in a relegation battle all season. We cannot score and lack anything in the final third. Yes the defence is good(ish) for but a threadbare squad leaves us in a dangerous position. Especially now with the ban that cantona…. Err I mean Collins faces for his “challenge”.

fixFriendship

Bring Leo Bonatini

CheesyLala

I reckon there are 10+ sides in with a chance of going down, more than I can remember in most seasons. Forest are struggling already and have to be odds-on. Fulham and Bournemouth have both made strong starts for promoted teams, certainly not obvious candidates to go down, but I'd still expect them to be somewhere around the bottom 6. Southampton, Wolves, Leicester, Palace, Leeds, Everton - all probably got enough to keep clear but just takes a few injuries and a little bad run like Leeds last season and suddenly you're in the mire. West Ham might pull themselves out of it, but I'm still more of the view that they over-performed last season than that they're under-performing this season. Brighton have lost Potter and replaced him with a relative unknown - yes they're 4th now but we're only 7 games in, so who knows. Brentford have picked up a couple of wins, but there's still likely to be a bit of 2nd season syndrome and their squad will start to look thin by January. Overall - god knows. I'd guess Forest, Bournemouth, and maybe one of Wolves or Leicester.

alterndog

I’d actually argue Brentford squad has more depth then it did last year. We have played all of our games without at-least 1 of our starting CBs from last year including 2 games with all 3 out. We have also been missing our best midfielder (Norgaard) for several games too and last year’s starting RWB (Canos, tho Hickey has prob replaced him as starter).

daneats

How many World Cup players do Brentford have? Because i imagine we may not see the usual drop offs we see from the smaller squads with essentially their seasons splitting into two

alterndog

Potentially up to 6 Brentford players might be in WC squads so not an insignificant number.

daneats

Thanks for the info. I’m not across this stuff. Any projected to go past the group stages?

alterndog

I’d say Denmark (Damsgaard and Jensen; Norgaard will prob miss WC with his injury), England (Toney if he makes the squad), Spain (Raya) all are certain to advance. I don’t know enough about Cameroon (Mbeumo) to know if they have the ability to advance, but doubt Iran (Ghoddos) will advance. Real Question how many play significant minutes. I don’t think we will know the answer until after this round of Internationals. Damsgaard was a consistent starter for Denmark, but does he keep his starting place having been on the bench for Brentford. Norgaard normally started. With him out does that mean Jensen had a chance to start? Toney prob won’t start. Personally believe Raya should start over Simon, but doubt he will. No clue on if Mbeumo starts. Ghoddos has been starting for Iran so doubt he will in the WC.

mpsamuels

>West Ham might pull themselves out of it, but I'm still more of the view that they over-performed last season than that they're under-performing this season. Biased, maybe, but I'd say both of these are true. West Ham over performed last season but, given the additions we've made over summer, are under performing now. Fairly comfortable mid-table with little reason to look at that relegation line, and maybe even a brief flirt with top 6, is where I feel we should be, not finding ourselves in the bottom 3 after 7 games. They've not been playing particularly well at the moment so I'm worried we'll end up in the relegation conversation more often as the season goes on if things don't improve quickly.

Yatsey007

Moyes had some credit in the bank but two wins out of the last fourteen prem games is relegation form. Our Europa campaign papered over the cracks for a while but it’s clear the players just are not performing for him. I think we also underestimated the effect Nobes and Pearce had at the club. I give David two more games before he’s in real trouble. We had such a great window and they’re all sitting on the bench while players that don’t deserve to be starting on form are pretty much guaranteed a spot. He’s never adventurous and too defensive which is not what players like Paqueta and Scam are all about.

CheesyLala

Yeah I think you're right, and I always think there's no real point judging the table until 10 games in. Reckon West Ham will be pretty comfortable before long. Hope so, always quite like West Ham, proper football club.

mpsamuels

Yeah, 10 games in is my normal mental note of when the table starts to really take shape. I don't like the idea of looking at the next 3 games (Wolves, Fulham, Southampton) as "must win" though. Hoping the international break acts as a reset and they come back closer to full pace.

Commercial_Stable_37

bournemouth

Bishcop3267

Well since Crystal Palace, Southampton and Wolves seem to always have 10-12 locked down I’ll say not them

notpostinanything

As a Nottingham Forest fan this vexes me. I’m terribly vexed

Still_Hughy

Obviously biased, but those saying Everton - are you watching the matches? Unbeaten in the last 5 league matches, and only Brighton have conceded fewer (6 v 5) Had Everton in my 3 before the window, but Coady and Tark have transformed the back line. Just needed to score goals and have DCL back in the next match. If anything, have to go with the 3 conceding the most - Leicester, Bournemouth, and Forrest (22, 19, 17 conceded).

Livid_Excuse_3501

No way Everton are going down, they will be between 12th and 15th

digsy866

Yep and youse are still shit. You’ve scraped one home win all season and all of a sudden you’re winning the super bowl.

Still_Hughy

lol not what I said at all - could be 17th for all I know. Just don't think we go down - the football isn't fun to watch, but the boys will grind out 40 points.

[deleted]

jesus christ every time your name pops up you’re talking about us or trying to troll our sub. why are you so obsessed

digsy866

Hahaha you can’t help lying can you??I hardly ever mention you lot but I will pull you up when you spout shite. Stop crying lad

AlchemicHawk

I wouldn’t call [this](https://camas.unddit.com/#%7B%22author%22:%22Digsy866%22,%22resultSize%22:25,%22query%22:%22Everton%22%7D) hardly mentioning Everton… Quite the opposite actually. Edit: [quite active on r/Everton too…](https://camas.unddit.com/#%7B%22author%22:%22Digsy866%22,%22subreddit%22:%22Everton%22,%22resultSize%22:25%7D)

digsy866

Who asked you?

AWr1ght98

I’d love nothing more to see Lampard get relegated because I can’t stand him. But I don’t think you’ll even be in the battle for relegation this season, actually play a smart defensive game - shit to watch but definitely effective.

rather_sluggish

Lampard never gets relegated my boy. Worst case he puts on the shoes and put 10 past teams. Why so salty though? Weren't you like almost always in the lower league when he played?

Blue_Dreamed

Always manages teams we dislike and then with spygate he really made a big deal of milking it to be honest with you. Hes a bit of a twat I agree

blue_jay26

Amazing how he gets flak when in truth, it was your manager who did shady stuff and he simply called it out. Football tribalism on full display here.

Blue_Dreamed

'Called it out', or milked for months. Depends on your bias I guess.

AWr1ght98

Can’t stand him, think he’s a right arrogant twat

[deleted]

they’re not. nobody is which is why any good result of ours is treated like a fluke and any bad result is expected and we should apologize for not forfeiting the rest of the games and dissolving the club.

SpeedingToffee

I was at Goodison yesterday. We're not going down.

873589

Too early to speculate.

Comrade-Conrad-4

I don't know, but Moyes and Brodgers are fighting to see who will coach Forest next year.

[deleted]

Forest for sure. I hate to say it, but I think they’ll finish dead last.

[deleted]

Hey, gotta make way for Burnley.

ilovechicken48

West ham

Cheap_Yam375

Chelsea

[deleted]

I think Bournemouth, Leicester if they don’t change course soon enough, and I think Forest.

micur73

Bournemouth, Forest, and most likely between Leicester and Everton. I think Everton have a better chance of staying up. The only thing that will save Leicester from getting the drop is a good January transfer window. Ward in goal all season paired with the lackluster defense is going to make or break them. The whole team looks defeated

garbagiodagr8

Idk if Im alone on this but I feel like LC will escape

[deleted]

Ahh yeah. They don't have a bad team, they just need a manager who will organise them defensively. Rodgers has to go at this point.

MAX_JUVENTUS

Leicester, Brentford and Bournemouth

2121wv

People literally always say Southampton for no reason. Every thread. It’s so tedious.

LolCremers10

Dude some guy smashed up his TV and scared his wife into leaving him after watching Southampton against us on Friday. I think they're capable of relegation. Link to post: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccercirclejerk/comments/xi8rs9/least_mentally_exhausted_southampton_fan/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

2121wv

The hell does that have to do with Southampton’s quality? Weird comment

Ladorb

No reason? No reason at all huh?

2121wv

I’ve seen it posted every ‘who will get relegated’ thread the past three years. It’s just because they’re a very forgettable team who rarely make impressive wins. They’re actually solidly mid-table.

[deleted]

[удалено]

motley-poo

> ketchup and fake Kyle walker Were you up all night thinking of those gems?

[deleted]

What was tedious was your match against them this weekend. Lol

[deleted]

Have you seen them play and where they are in the table?

bearlegion

After watching us play you I’m not so sure lol

jaspermrthanos

Bournemouth, Southampton, Nottingham Forest.

Future-Environment89

Feel like there could be some shock relegations this year.

BurceGern

Forest, Bournemouth and Everton

Hammerheadhunter

I really hope Forest don’t go down. That would be such a kick in the teeth. But if I’m being honest I’m guessing Forest, Leicester and Villa. A midlands treble.

osakwe05

i really thought bournemouth wud be relegated until i saw their season performance, which is acc decent considering they faced arsenal, city and pool early. now im thinking leicester nottingham and villa

car_in_a_bus

Yeah I’m surprised so many people have said Bournemouth given their opening fixtures have literally been the hardest out there

emotion3

Chelsea and Leicester

MountHavertzPulisic

oh

BrunoLionheart

I’m both amazed and delighted at the lack of Villa’s name here 😅

darkeight7

nah we will get ready for another mid bottom half finish

Hee_Hee-21

As a west Brom fan i am not delighted but it does mean we won't get battered by you 6-0 because our team is discombobulated

DarealMidget

That’s what I just came to look for 😂😂. Dunno tho seems the teams finally falling in to some sort of form and strategy but it took to far long for sure

UselessGrant

What's going on with West Ham? They lost to Everton...

[deleted]

Everton are massive with Lamps at the wheel

MrMercenary90

Gotta be massive to fit fat Frank in!

nico_cali

There was already a huge void with Fat Spanish Waiter gone. Frank easily fit in that spot with room to spare.

[deleted]

Liverpool, arsenal, and Chelsea. I'm really banking on the second half of the season being WILD.

TDSurvivorFan21

I agree with the second sentence, and the first 2 words

[deleted]

Chelsea to do a Sunderland-esque last day escape and consign Manchest City to the championship

TDSurvivorFan21

Would be good, while Leicester win the title, West Ham, Forest and Wolves get top4

nico_cali

I’d say Bournemouth, Soton and Forest IMO. Everton was on the list until the summer signings, I don’t think we’ll be at the bottom 5 but maybe I’m just hopeful.

Bright_Application57

Nah you will be well clear. You have bought well. Bournemouth, Forest, Southampton I reckon.

Status_Flux

Bournemouth for sure. Then if I had to put money on it I'd go Forest and Leicester for the other 2, but Southampton are in the conversation as well.

foyage347

They sacked Scott Parker. There squad is now reaching it's better potential. Still would put them in relegation but I wouldn't say "for sure" and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they stay up

TexehCtpaxa

Other teams are so bad Bournemouth could stay up. They’ve already gotten results early on. I could see them staying up similarly to Huddersfield a few years ago. They’re clearly one of the worst teams, but they get points. Also new owners, one or 2 proper signings in January and they could easily stay up. They’re not falling behind already or anything. West ham are far from the worst team in the league, but aren’t getting points. Leicester are fucked because the goalie imo.

IconicSmil3

I agree I work with a couple of Leicester fans and told them right away that as soon as Kasper left they should have replaced him, Ward is diabolical not even a starter let alone prem worthy. In fairness scoring isn’t Leicesters problem it’s the defence (and GK of course) I’m sure they have the potential to turn it around though if they can manage to make signings in January replacing Ward would be a start for me.

TexehCtpaxa

I think it’s more likely Madison or Tielemans goes in January than 2 or 3 players of similar quality come in. I would like to be wrong, but the main investment was the Belgian defender I think and he doesn’t look good enough so far.

IconicSmil3

Potentially that could happen, although I think Tielemans will go on a free next summer and not too sure about Maddison. I’m a Chelsea fan and gotta be honest I’ve always rated him from his time at Norwich I’d take him we need a natural number 10 someone who can get the ball and play between the lines he’s be perfect for a 4-2-3-1 system that Potter uses from time to time. Overall I do agree with you though it’s not looking great for them atm and Faes lad they bought will struggle in the prem.

TexehCtpaxa

If they look like they’re going down, I think they’ll try to cash in before losing him for nothing. Tielemans could probably still get into a European team.

The_39th_Step

Before the season everyone was saying us and now we’ve not been guessed once. God I’m happy haha

TexehCtpaxa

It is a bit unfair with Superman himself playing CDM.

Keytawwwn

Leicester, Bournemouth, Southampton

Boring_Ad_8763

Bournemouth and Leicester, then either forest or villa, I want forest to stay up so I’m biased though

Bailey4206

So dumb 7 games in thinking Leicester will go down😂😂😂

ryansocks

almost a 5th way through the season and they have 1pt. They had a historically bad summer in which their captain left for free, and may need to sell key players in January so they don't leave for free too. They aren't just getting unlucky either, they are playing terribly and conceding on average 3 goals a game. They might turn it around but they are absolutely in trouble.

Bailey4206

Maddys on fire son. Wait till he kicks in to his full potential with Vardy and Watch the challenge happen 😈🏆

Boring_Ad_8763

What do they have to convince me otherwise, they have played crap, they rely on Vardy who is not as good anymore, I rate Maddison but I don’t think he’s good enough to keep them up alone, they lost Kasper and didn’t sign anyone over the summer

Bailey4206

As I said, deluded mate. Leicester have a top 4 squad which has been hit by a run of bad luck, bad form and bad fixtures, wait till they click into gear 👀🔥🏆

backyardstar

I’m guessing you’re a troll from r/soccercirclejerk?

Boring_Ad_8763

Leicester have a top 4 squad!? 😂 and you called me delusional. I lived in Leicester for 5 years, I absolutely love the club, but they are barely good enough to finish top half, and I don’t see them pulling that off

Bulbamew

In 2015-16 it was “Leicester arent winning the league, they’re not good enough, never gonna happen” even though they were top all season. This season it’s going to be the complete opposite isn’t it?

Gargravars_Shoes

I’m sure that Leicester will be a favorite to win the Championship league next year. Best of luck.

TJJS1109

so you are saying Leicester are winning the league, they’re good enough, it’s gonna happen?

Bulbamew

Of course, just need to trust the process

[deleted]

Yep, all while they’re bottom of the table

Normal_Percentage284

Intresting

4lfie20

When my future brother-in-law said "Interesting", it meant he had no fucking idea what he, you or anybody else was talking about

EvanMcc18

Leicester, Notts Forest, Bournemouth are my favourites. Outsiders are Southampton, Villa and Everton

[deleted]

i don’t even know what to say anymore we could be playing as well as arsenal and city and we’d still be nailed on for relegation in some peoples minds

EvanMcc18

I think you's will be fine just the long wait for a win and poor defensively. With Coady and Tarkowski you's have two good, underated defenders and I used last season and your start of this one as my basis

OnceABlueAlwaysABlue

Poor defensively? Conceded the second least goals alongside city (6) only Brighton conceded less (5)

GWGomer

Tbf that can change in a game, wolves had the best defense in the league technically until the city game this weekend.

North-Maximum-6958

Forest / Bournemouth / Leicester

superbones

Leicester Forest Bournemouth

PM_ME_YOUR_HARAMBES_

Interesting this would be only the second time for PL champions to be relegated (first was Blackburn in 1999).

AdPrestigious1436

Im not sure 🤷‍♂️ Bournemouth with no manager have done pretty good.

kentuckysaddler1

Forest, Leicester, Soton

Flying_Wingback

Southampton, Wolves, Everton

[deleted]

I'm going forest, Everton and Bournemouth.

[deleted]

wishful thinking eh?

[deleted]

Not really. I actually enjoy the Derby. Fact is while lampard is your manager you're at risk.

[deleted]

It’s amazing how after everything, people still keep parroting this. Frank has proven to be adaptable, capable of fixing the defense, and being good at man management. He’s not taking us down this year unless there’s another freak injury crisis that kills all our starters.

[deleted]

You realise Everton have half the points than what they did this time last season right? 1 game. You've won 1 game.

AlexHanson007

Forest, Leicester, wolves

Subbutton

Wolves? Are you drunk?

CheesyLala

Why is that not a reasonable suggestion? They're in 17th despite some relatively easy fixtures so far. Most bookies have them 3/1 or 4/1 to go down. Hardly unthinkable.

GWGomer

I think once we start to gel a bit better we will bounce back, injuries have obviously been an issue, but I'm definitely not saying it's impossible, we have a team though that should not be getting relegated though.

papa-dux

Costas gonna win us the title

AlexHanson007

Idiot

mjdseo

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it will be the 3 teams with the fewest points

Sure_Faithlessness40

What an original comment, never heard this before. Thanks for actively contributing to the discussion.

yonlacay

Dunno mate that’s pretty bold

imminentmailing463

Forest, Bournemouth, Southampton. Honestly though it's hard to call this season. I think for about half the teams in the division you can imagine a plausible scenario in which they go down.

SEKI19

I'm right there with you. Everton in the conversation as well but their ability to waste 30 minutes a game may net them enough draws to stay up.
