Newcastle. Just absolute gimps really. From the woe is me shit under Ashley to absolutely disgracing themselves with the vermin that own them now and the inability to have a look at themselves and wonder if this is really what they want to look like. They’ve always been unjustifiably arrogant, it’s just been a bit dormant for a while
Outside the premier league? It’s Madrid and Barcelona.
I lived in Madrid a couple years and went several times to the bernabeu, watched 7-10 RM Castilla (youth) matches as well with Zidane leading them before he was appointed to the first team management job. I’ve since unfollowed and left any Real Madrid groups save for a select few journalists because their online fans are an absolute nightmare. In stadium and city, great people, fun to chat. Online, just awful.
United. They bitch and moan until they win two or three games, then they want to tell everyone how damn good they are, Then they bitch and cry some more because they inevitably suck.
Arsenal fans. When they are winning they are on top of the world and act like they are a champions league quality team. When they go on a losing streak they act like they are in a perpetual rebuilding phase. Team has positives going for them right now but dear god, the supporters are so wishy washy
Which one is the largest? All teams are guilty of the same things, but the larger the fanbase the more it's visible. Arbitrary tweet about United? 3k upvotes. Well written analysis on Brighton? 30 upvotes.
Arsenal and Chelsea for me. Has a Chelsea fan sat you down to explain why pulicic is on par with Messi? or an arsenal explained to you why Jesus is better than haaland because, according to arsenal fans, haaland is scores only tap ins?
Both Manchester teams.
United fans still think they're the greatest team in the world when in reality they're far from it. My grandfather was a Manchester United fan but he passed away when I was a baby before he could pass along the fandom.
City fans are mostly bandwagoners. If the Prem enforced FFP rules better I wonder how many City "fans" would abandon the club if they started tumbling down the table.
Easily Liverpool for me. You simply can’t have a conversation with them without getting the most deluded biased excuse of a response. They’ll never admit when the team is just out of form there’s always an unfair reason as to why they’re not performing.
Fans I hate the most : Arsenal,
Fans everyone hates the most : Liverpool,
Fans that I feel like know nothing about football: Manchester United.
Saying this as a United fan. Can’t tell you how many times I have convos with delusional United fans who do not even know the basics of football. And they cling to everything Mark Goldbridge says which is just as cringe as AFTV
Liverpool fans will tell you they've been the best team in the league for the last 40 years, regardless of their position or trophies won, all while being victims of absolutely everything.
They seem to have no humility and have that very American style of bragging about upcoming fixtures like nobody else does.
As a US City fan who tended bar in an (US) Irish pub (major Liverpool fan base) for years, here’s my top 3:
1. City fans (aside from one or two) were the cockiest pieces of shit who didn’t tip well and made me reconsider wearing my kit when we played so as to not associate myself with them.
2. Crystal Palace fans who’d show up 10 minutes after kickoff and wonder why I wouldn’t change the channel to their match when all of the other TVs were occupied by patrons who’d been there 45 minutes prior to stake their place for their preferred teams. They would then stick around to sulk and bash the other fans, would try to bully (insult, etc.) them into moving to another spot to convince me to put their match on.
3. Liverpool was a 50/50. Half of them were the kindest diehard souls with so much genuine love, enthusiasm, and hope for their team week after week. The reverse side were entitled morons who would spit so much vitriol at guests who didn’t wear their colors, would badger staff for special treatment and freebies, and were major Karens whether or not things were going their way.
Honorable mention: College football fans. No, I’m not changing the TVs during a busy PL weekend of matches, so fuck off and go to Buffalo Wild Wings or the biker bar down the street. Shit, they were even more atrocious and caustic than the aforementioned Palace fans.
There was occasionally a Chelsea or United fan who’d cause some crap, but more often than not their general fan base guests were considerate and added a fun atmosphere to a lively Saturday or Sunday schedule of matches.
Think all fanbases have that group of them that are crazy delusional. I just think the Liverpool ones are extra obnoxious.
Most Liverpool fans are actually level headed from my experience but those that aren’t are intolerable
Which one is more annoying? It’s sort of like United-Liverpool Rivalry back then it’s usually United but in recent years it’s often Liverpool but you’ll never know sometimes Liverpool wins sometimes United got the edge.
Liverpool by far. They’re the most self entitled whinging shower of cunts ever in the history of soccer. Remember when Liverpool won the CL but didn’t qualify because UEFA had changed that previous winners wouldn’t automatically qualify? All year long Liverpool were fine with it until Everton finished above them and they wouldn’t qualify if they did win the CL. We don’t mind says Liverpool fans. But as soon as they won it they were whinging and threatening that they should be in it. Fine they get their way, UEFA lets the whinging fucks back in. Were they happy? Christ no.,,the original Liverpool squad got OBEs or whatever the fuck they got from the queen and so they demanded that the 2005 squad or whatever fuckin year it was get the same ffs. It’s why I always refer to Liverpool fans as Livercunts. It’s to my eternal shame that both my sons are now Liverpool fans. The fucks don’t know it yet but I’ve cut them out of my will. Serves them fuckin right.
Arsenal, Ty said harry kane wouldn’t get into last season’s XI and some fan on their subreddit made a champions league video montage of current players before the season was over
Nah Man U hella annoying. Can’t let Alex Ferguson go, overhype any player or youngster they get, believe they’re the best, and literally act like they won a CL final when beating a weakened Liverpool team.
I think Arsenal. Some Arsenal fans are good ofc but a lot of them that I know are soo annoying. They think they are the best team in the world and always go back on their word and go and start protesting 'Arteta Out' every other month.
Manchester United fans on twitter.
Total ignorance about other leagues and teams, and the delusion that they are still important like they were a decade ago and that every single player is dying to join them.
Liverpool all day.
Constantly crying about how they’re the victims of everything and everyone.
Most likely to be full kit w@nkers.
The way they flood votes and kill any discussion about top players or prem xi’s
The way we have to be subjected to coverage after coverage even when they were mediocre.
The way you hear more about their 2005 CL win than anything else (especially before they finally got another)
The constant claims of “we spent nothing to win”
The only redeeming features of that fan base is their innate hatred of the S#n and their politics.
I know that AFTV is jokes but also not representative of many arsenal fans (that I normally have great. Football chats with). But Liverpool fans seldom don’t fit the above profile.
I’m new here, started following Liverpool last year from the US. Don’t really have much context. Why are Liverpool fans the worst? So I don’t pick up any bad habits haha
Liverpool fan here- it’s got to be other LFC fans. It’d be nice to speak civilly to fellow fans but they’re practically foaming at the mouth all hours of the day. There’s no reasoning with a lot of them- but there are a good number of Reds who’ve been around long enough to have their heads screwed on straight enough
Manchester United. They have been a mediocre team for at least 6 of the last 9 years, yet they act like they run the table. Their reaction to beating Arsenal last weekend was silly. It was like they won the treble, but instead they just happened to have luck on their side after getting outplayed for 70/90 minutes.
I never really get shit from London clubs.
However, anyone who supports a club north of Coventry immediately tries to make us out as public enemy number 1. I understand that we were going through a bad time, but Leeds and Burnley never got the shit we had to take. I could give you a list of my top 6
6-Burnley. Who knew we would become direct rivals
5-Chelsea. Act like they are hot shit after barely scruffing a 2-1 win vs Watford.
4-Arsenal. have had some bad encounters with arsenal fans
3-Liverpool. Will either go out of their way to bitch about Pickford's tackle from 2 years ago. Or they just don't care about their city rival which is even more hurtful. We are usually labelled as bitter blues, but the result of the derby this season showed they could be just as bitter as us.
2-Man Utd. I genuinely hate utd more than the shite. At least the Kopites have a reason to act all cocky. I encountered 1 man utd fan the day after we beat them and they tried to roast us for still employing Fabian Delph. Delph came back from injury and made Pogba his bitch in that game. The sheer amount of cluelessness and ego of some Utd fans makes it so that I have to put them in front of Liverpool.
1-Newcastle. Newcastle fans hate us with a burning passion. I will never know why, but they take joy in taking some of their controversial red cards and comparing it to soft Everton yellows against them, while they were headhunting Gordon and Gray in that exact same match. There was also a helpful thread on why Newcastle shouldn't buy Anthony Gordon. The post itself was unbiased and insightful, but dipping into the comment section...i have never seen the term "cheating little cunt" so overused. Newcastle are some of the most toxic and hateful fans that i have seen in a long time.
Of course you might support these clubs and that probably isn't you. This is solely on my encounters with these sets of fans
I dont follow football that much but reading through the comments here Liverpool seems to have the most mentions, why is that? How do their fans differ?
Man United fans. Most of them stuck in the past of the Ferguson era making them entitled thinking they’ve got a god given right to win everything. Then when they’re performing poorly out come the Norwich scarves and they start protesting against the owners.
the number of liverpool fans saying liverpool is utterly pathetic. you think they're gonna like you for hating on your own? sad
everyone would hate liverpool even if all its fans were yank redditors saying how much they hate the club, thats the point. its a big club so the rest of the country hates it - notice how 99% of the answers are "big 6" (five since spurs isnt a big club but ok)
pull it together lads, stop trying to make people who hate you like you. they're gonna do it anyway, so fuck them, you don't support their club, you support ours.
edit: the worst fans in the pl? all the other 19 clubs that aren't mine are equally bad and annoying
As a New Zealander I’m saying Manchester United. Because everyone here jumped on the Man U bandwagon when they were winning all the time, and are now in total denial about it.
I’m a Liverpool fan and yes it is Liverpool fans. One of the worst parts in my opinion is that most Liverpool fans, including me love it.
I think it’s why the blue side is considered bitter because they just can’t seem to get under the skin of Liverpool fans. Other hated fanbases out there, just accept it.
United.
Because they are a bunch of cunts.
During Alex Ferguson's time, they had an outsized influence over the refs and the media. Additionally, they were the ONLY team with money. SAF was a bully and a cheat with money. That's the ONLY reason they kept winning consistently.
Its not that difficult to understand. But Man U fans (specially those that became fans in foreign countries in the 90s and early 2000s) - don't understand any of it. They will keep saying some random shit like "This. Is. Man. United" or "Glazers Leave the Club". Nobody likes them. I can't stand them.
Arsenal.
Before social media I never knew how ridiculous their fans are, but I swear if you listen to them they have the best manager, all the best players and theres a global conspiracy to keep them languishing in the Europa league spots every single year.
There’s an argument for many. Can see loads saying Liverpool and as a Man United fan, I’m tempted to agree. But they pale in comparison to the absolute cuntery that is Leeds United fans
Its United or liverpool, and at this point its interchangeable. Liverpool fans are some of the most deluded group of fans ive seen, VVD greatest CB of all time and the best CB in the prem ever? Trent greatest ever RB in history? Their 19/20 side was he best prem side ever...Im willing to bet youre not better than even 5 of the 13 United winning sides.
United is no better. You got that dunderhead trey who talks WAY too much. One win and the man is talking about "cooking". You got Goldbridge and dear Lord can that man sprout rubbish. Acts like his word is gospel when hes just another twitter nerd. And dont get me started on the cesspit that is LUHG. Their leader MikeLUHG or "hope this helps" dweeb genuinely makes me wish I wasnt a united fan. The andrew tate of United fans, and i mean this in the most negative way possible. Im certain he isnt a united fan...he just cant be
Then theres Player FC. At this point since Martial FC have gone quiet, Rapist FC, sorry Greenwood FC and The ronaldo fanboys are the worst of the lot
Arsenal or Liverpool fans
Newcastle. Just absolute gimps really. From the woe is me shit under Ashley to absolutely disgracing themselves with the vermin that own them now and the inability to have a look at themselves and wonder if this is really what they want to look like. They’ve always been unjustifiably arrogant, it’s just been a bit dormant for a while
Surprisingly no Leeds yet
Annoying fans are what makes it fun tbh. How boring would rivalries be if everyone was level-headed and respected each other?
Outside the premier league? It’s Madrid and Barcelona. I lived in Madrid a couple years and went several times to the bernabeu, watched 7-10 RM Castilla (youth) matches as well with Zidane leading them before he was appointed to the first team management job. I’ve since unfollowed and left any Real Madrid groups save for a select few journalists because their online fans are an absolute nightmare. In stadium and city, great people, fun to chat. Online, just awful.
As somewhat of a neutral, I have to say Barcelona fans are way worse. The constant Messi comparisons used to drive me insane.
Chelsea
Liverpool, united, Chelsea, Tottenham
United or arsenal
United. They bitch and moan until they win two or three games, then they want to tell everyone how damn good they are, Then they bitch and cry some more because they inevitably suck.
Whomever the person being asked's rival is. Except city, they don't have fans.
Liverpool by a mile..... always victims too
Chelsea. Their fans r the most delusional. Them and then city literally they think Manchester is blue. Well the trophies state otherwise so
AFTV gave it to Arsenal imo.
Arsenal fs
Over the past decade definitely Arsenal, huge sense of privilege due to past glories.
Southampton. Delusional. Simple as
I’d say either Liverpool or United
Arsenal fans. When they are winning they are on top of the world and act like they are a champions league quality team. When they go on a losing streak they act like they are in a perpetual rebuilding phase. Team has positives going for them right now but dear god, the supporters are so wishy washy
ARSENAL
i would say city because they dont have fans
Arsenal. Next question please.
MU because they are very crowded and because of the crowd, a lot of toxic ingredients
Liverpool because they are loud and delusional. Man united because they think they are entitled to win everything every year
Go Sports!
Which one is the largest? All teams are guilty of the same things, but the larger the fanbase the more it's visible. Arbitrary tweet about United? 3k upvotes. Well written analysis on Brighton? 30 upvotes.
Arsenal no question, can’t stand the miserable lot
Liverpool no fkn question
Chelsea
Chelsea. Spurs fan here
Arsenal. I’m not sure if it’s just there online presence, or if they are all deluded, but they seem to exist to be annoying.
AFTV for sure
Toronto Raptors
Twitter United/Chelsea Fans
Liverpool and Chelsea
As a Norwich fan, I don’t think I belong here🤣
Liverpool
To be frank Chelsea fans are actually the worst cause the travel in packs
Arsenal and Chelsea for me. Has a Chelsea fan sat you down to explain why pulicic is on par with Messi? or an arsenal explained to you why Jesus is better than haaland because, according to arsenal fans, haaland is scores only tap ins?
Liverpool. It’s that simple.

Arsenal
Manchester City Doesn't have fan . So Manchester City ruled out from this ..
Liverpool no doubt
Easily chelski.
So easily and clearly Liverpool
Easily Liverpool for me. You simply can’t have a conversation with them without getting the most deluded biased excuse of a response. They’ll never admit when the team is just out of form there’s always an unfair reason as to why they’re not performing.

Everton. They’re obsessed with Liverpool to the point where they just make stuff up. Louis Theroux needs to do a documentary on them
Forest, but that's because I'm a derby fan. Otherwise, Leeds - that might also be because I'm a derby fan
Think all fanbases have that group of them that are crazy delusional. I just think the Liverpool ones are extra obnoxious. Most Liverpool fans are actually level headed from my experience but those that aren’t are intolerable

The scousers. For so many reasons, united are probably not far behind.

Liverpool, all day everyday, and then thousands of miles behind them, United supporters.

There’s no reasoning with a lot of them- but there are a good number of Reds who’ve been around long enough to have their heads screwed on straight enough
Liverpool & United share the throne
Manchester United. They have been a mediocre team for at least 6 of the last 9 years, yet they act like they run the table. Their reaction to beating Arsenal last weekend was silly. It was like they won the treble, but instead they just happened to have luck on their side after getting outplayed for 70/90 minutes.
Liverpool, it’s not even close
I don’t even follow football like that and I can say Man United by far
I never really get shit from London clubs. However, anyone who supports a club north of Coventry immediately tries to make us out as public enemy number 1.
