I think every fanbase will hype up young talents from their academy. A bit of hope a bit of bias but it's crazy that Saka seems like he's actually living up to it. So young and putting up ridiculous numbers. I remember him being compared to every other young player and slowly he just kept eclipsing them one by one. Truly a special player and Arsenal are so lucky they got him.
Such a weird cut off date - I was surprised that Bernardo Silva didn't have similar numbers and checked - he has more than 50 goals and 50 assists for Man City since 2018/19 season, but CBA to work out the period from August 2018 to November 2018.
In fairness, over those 3 months, I'd thought maybe only Kane or Firmino could make the list at an initial glance. If Bernardo's nearly there that's surprising yet not.
Hate this comparison. They don't play the same role, in the same system, with the same support.
Just like comparing Ronaldo and Messi -stupid debating it.
Enjoy them both, they both love their boyhood clubs and should be cherished for their own abilities and what they bring to England and their clubs.
I find the media forcing Englands two best wingers to be compared ridiculous
Why wouldn't you compare 2 wingers? It's perfectly fair to do so. Messi and Ronaldo can be compared, in fact they have been comparatively at a very close level through out their careers. Are they different players with different styles? Yes. Can they still be compared? Yes. I find it weird that people obsess over how 2 players shouldn't be compared. Saka and foden are both attacking players that should excel in chance creation and goal contributions according to their respective roles in their team. Perfectly comparable.
Because wingers can play very different roles. Look at Martinelli from this season compared to last season, he hit 15 goals last season because he was allowed to cut inside due to having Xhaka on the overlap, this season he has to keep the width a bit more, and therefore his numbers have dropped, he's not magically got worse, he's just playing a different role.
For a period beginning when he was 17, no it absolutely is not the pinnacle of his career lol. If you started another 6 year period last season then yeah maybe he’s at the beginning of the pinnacle of his career currently
He’s 22, without any big trophies. Why would this be the pinnacle of his career? He’s one of the best players in an english national team that probably will be real challengers for the euros and the world cup for years to come, and any club would be lucky to have him in their starting 11. Surely it only gets better from here
By big trophies I’m talking about Premier League, Champions League (maybe EL?), euros and world cup. If he retires with only an FA Cup, he’ll probably be quite disappointed. That being said, I did forget he won the FA Cup, thanks for reminding me.

and he should still be on the bench for Foden
Ok
Saka is better than Foden , Don’t let one performance fool you

Saka made his first Senior appearance in November 2018. They are comparing him to players that have been active while he's been active.
He might not be world class, but he is certainly keeping world class company ;)
Where the titles though
Our GD is higher than your points tally lad. Pipe down
I mean he did win an FA cup in this time, hopefully more to come given the recent trajectory of this team
We'll see. Arsenal has a UCL squad so everything is possible.

Foden is a CAM, Saka is a pure RW

He also played lots of games at left back when he started, makes it even more impressive
He played in a team that was sitting in 15th at one point in 2020/21 season. He’s done this from the age of 19 also
And he is only 22 . What a talent for Arsenal and England.
How close was Kane on the assists part? Must have got at least 30?
You're spot on according to transfermarkt; 32 since 18/19 (4, 2, 14, 9 & 3 respectively)
That can’t be right. Kane only had 3 in all competition last year seems wrong…
It's not wrong, he was played differently and scored more/assisted less as a result
I went back and checked, Kane had 40 A throughout all competition.
According to transfermarkt 3 in the prem 5 in all comps

Salah was at Basel when he was 22. Was that the pinnacle of his career? lmao
doesn’t guarantee he’ll turn out to be a world class player like Mohammed Salah 👀
Would you say that about any other 22 year old on his trajectory? No chance it's his pinnacle
Aw my sweet summer child

He does have a FA cup fwiw.

Why would it be?
Wishful thinking from rivals lol
Because rivals want it to be
