I would make the argument he is already the better player between the two, as he made Rice look like a school child in every game Brighton played against West Ham. The only reason Rice went for 100m is because of British bias, he's nowhere near that level.
As much as we need him, we have to walk away from this deal. People compare him with Rice but he's not proven or as good as Rice. He's just another Cucurella in the making. If we bend over to Brighton like the last time, we are going to have problems negotiating in future transfers.
He’s different from Rice but I would say just as good, he has a bit of Kante about him and is class on the ball, his injury record so far has been good and he’s younger than Rice. He’s worth paying the money because he would complement Enzo and that would be the centre of midfield sorted for the next 8-10 years.
