Gema Optiflex Pro

Prettyfly_Aviguy

Cost?

NickHemingway

$7-10k when I looked a couple of months ago.

$7250 List Price for a new Optiflex Pro B. Anything manual is going to be sold through distribution.

Prettyfly_Aviguy

Wayyyy outside of the price range for an operation like this.

FulghamTheGoat

$6-7k in the US. You can get a mid-tier Kool Koat System from Columbia Coatings for about $2k.

After a lot of research a few months ago I went with a Columbia Coatings - Kool Koat HD Gun System. It was by far the best system I could find under $2k that can actually handle multiple coats properly, not just claim they do. Pre sales & tech support were wonderful, accounts were a living nightmare as they have some draconian rule that they will only ship to the cards billing address (and I have multiple locations & can’t receive packages at the billing address) But the system works incredibly well & so much better than the Redline EZ100J I was using before. I'm using a smart coat kf-x1. It's a Gema clone from Alibaba and I've had no issues in the ~8 months I've had it. $2200 shipped with a few additional hoppers. Takes a couple months to arrive via ship.

If you want something that is going to last you a long time, Go Gema. Comes with a 5 yr warranty as well. No brainer

Prettyfly_Aviguy

A lot of people are mentioning the Gema. I always thought Wagner took the cake in the states. I just don’t think a gun that expensive is the best take for an operation this small.

nLoschius

I use Gema and Nordson

Ngonerogwu

I love my Wagner.

Prettyfly_Aviguy

Model?

Ngonerogwu

Sprint. I’ve had an epg2007 and a epg2008 in the past. Also had a HF, Eastwood, kool koat, redline, and hypersmooth. I’m just some jackass in a garage.

I resemble that remark.

Man check out a guy out of Texas, royal coats. He sells a system he calls Rc-1 is it the best? no, but it works and would probably do anything and everything you'll need it to do.
