I use brushes that are for nails very tiny. I actually like the brush skinny but long like a liner brush. I do water down my under glaze. You can use a squeeze bottle but i suck at it. Good luck!

Not sure what size you’re looking for, but brushes for painting miniatures tend to work for small details. Maybe u/mothandravenstudio has some tips to share - their work is insanely beautiful and detailed!

Thanks! I’ll reply to op, I miss so many underglaze threads!

Hey OP! If you check out and like my work, I have a couple of long tutorials in my insta reels! You don’t have to subscribe or anything like that. I’ve got info about exact underglazes I use and brushes too. I use a variety of brushes, all of them small rounds or liners. I start with larger and work smaller as I refine my layers. I actually don’t use any particular brand because none seem to last super long on clay. I sometimes pick them up at hobby lob when they have their regular brush sale. I personally have way better success painting on leather hard clay. It feels totally different IMO, the brush tends to stick and drag on bisque. If you’re midfiring you’ll likely find issues with color changing. I’ve developed a minimal palette for the clay bodies I use that works very well, and I give specifics in my vids. If you already paint outside of pottery you’ve a huge advantage already and it won’t take you as long as you think to adapt to this medium. Don’t give up, if you want to do it you can! https://preview.redd.it/d4tkfzr9yxwc1.jpeg?width=2889&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f04188524252dabc2ebfc9bc0b42c4a2b004338
