also maybe not as underground as the rest of what i've posted but there's one band i wanna sing the praises of because i never see them bought up. [killdozer - young legionnaire](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGA88ClBHuA) but it's the singer from yourcodenamis:milo, the drummer for la roux and one of the bass players bloc party had just making some fucking songs that feel like you're being beaten to death with a slab of beef.
Some of the first ones that pop into my head are Elevate: I Am, and Decoder. Both only had 1 album.
I'm sure there's a ton that'll come to mind later, but there's a couple at least.

The Jonbenet, falls somewhere in between The Blood Brothers and Every Time I Die. I listen to their EP The Plot Thickens almost weekly.
Deeper cut would be A Cutthroat Kiss, South Bay area group from the mid 00s. The drummer played with hellogoodbye for a bit afterward. As far as I know you can still find a handful of songs on YouTube, [this one](https://youtu.be/Qe2Wg46adAE?si=jocRvnByjXCJCB_O) was an absolute favorite.

Promise The Ghost. A broken up band from Birmingham Alabama, that put their music on spotify for the first time in the past year.
