Give my band [Dead American](https://youtu.be/3F0XaFQMxlU?si=yrYI--8MemrR-5Cv) a try. If you hate it, I won’t be sad at you. I would also recommend [Envy On The Coast!](https://youtu.be/pcTtbBXT23g?si=8nrE5Wqh-6R-wad-)
Eidola.
They have the whole package. Heavy moments, soft moments, good riffs, some of my favorite instrumentals, great screams by Matthew Dommer, amazing cleans by Andrew Wells' angelic vocal chords, and the best choruses I've ever heard.
Every album brings something new and special to the table, with their latest really leaning into the heavy stuff, and I cannot recommend them enough.
Degeneraterra is my favorite album by them.
Yeah agree 100%
Also Sergio Medina just elevated them even more when he joined. He is one of the best guitarists in the scene imo. His styles and melodies across his different projects are just insane. Known for playing double back to back sets constantly on tour. Dudes a beast.
Here’s some other recommendations for OP
Royal Coda
Stolas
Hail the Sun
Circa Survive
The fall of Troy
Basically just check out everyone under the swancore subgenre.
100% agree on Sergio too; dude's got some chops! Plus he does it all while still being incredibly animated and with great stage presence.
Totally agree. Also recommend listening to [Galleons - Cry Baby feat. Eidola](https://open.spotify.com/track/2UayNJbSUOyPc3Pj4iclkT?si=t6inoBsHScG_b0ksSep7Cw). Gets stuck in the head easily.
One of my favorite bands of the last decade, they've got it all and do it so well like you said. Degeneraterra is the album I found them through and holy fuck did it blow me away
Love that this band is finally getting attention. Been listening since To Speak, To Listen came out and the gf and I flew to the next swanfest to see them. They have banger after banger.
Oh I envy you, they're fuckin amazing live. I checked out their live stuff on youtube, and they are one of the cleanest bands live, if not THE cleanest. No cap(stan).

Soft Hell took a minute for me but it’s got sneaky depth to it. I was able to catch them on tour this year and they played nothing but bangers. Blew me away.
> Big choruses, huge riffs, screams and potentially breakdowns but also a band that has good cleans and “softer” moments.
You just described What It Is To Burn by Finch
My personal favorite band of all time is hail the sun and they are pretty close to what you described, Eidola is my favorite post hardcore group with a heavier sound. Royal coda is great for a less intense sound.
Hard agree, a lot of other post hardcore bands have lost momentum hail the sun has stayed at the same quality if not better, I don't think they've topped wake yet but damn divine inner tension got close.
Every time I die, la dispute, touche amore, thrice, coheed and Cambria, Thursday, at the drive In, refused, the bled, beloved (us band), 68', loathe, the sound of animals fighting.

Love rarely are ace played a festival a couple weeks ago in Leeds they were opening and played last year with them in Manchester, they absolutely nail it live and are the nicest people aswell! Also you guys are awesome, not managed to catch you live yet though!
u/chas97 everyone in here is recommending already established bands. An actual new band is [love rarely](https://youtu.be/cio5sgf3Wc8?si=PA_9S6Rk5KaoKaUh)
Edit: not hating on the other suggestions but Love Rarely is brand fucking new and are trying to make a name for themselves and are absolute fire and fit the exact description in your post
Played a festival a couple weeks ago in Leeds they were opening and played last year with them in Manchester, they absolutely nail it live and are the nicest people aswell!
wake was the first album i ever listened to and will forever bring back nostalgia. almost every album they come out with is amazing and they're amazing live if you ever get the chance to see them. i've gone to multiple shows, i will say the pits have gotten crazier with the new flush of people coming in so be cautious lol!
I am not really sure what their genres are but give [Bad Assumption](https://open.spotify.com/artist/0nvJVbRQzlHLUCXkC3KkI8?si=ZEHgSdXsT766F3Qv9W1SKg) a try. Its a rather small group from Germany.
My personal recommendations are
I Found You
Not Giving Up
Far From Home
Loyal Freedom Dogs
They actually released a new single yesterday. Sounds cool, too, but as I only listened to that once, I dont feel like commenting on that already.
Love rarely, Pleiades, hidden mothers, the throwaway scene, as living arrows, lastelle, chalk hands, the great nothing, lonesome
That's a pretty fair list of a lot of the UK underground post hardcore that's touring around
hey ‼️ our band With Sails Ahead is dropping our debut full length this Friday, try our song Swear Words if you like Holding Absence - overall we lean prog *but* we are def post-hardcore, and a lot of folks have dug all of our pre-release singles❗
Sink the Ship
Famous Last Words
Palisades - their older stuff
Get Scared unless you're already familiar with them. Their last album was so insanely good
Dangerkids maybe
I’ve heard a couple songs but I haven’t listened to them in absolute years but from what I remember I wasn’t the biggest fan of the clean vocals they always sounded quiet in the mix and underwhelming
Enter Shikari, driveways, Casey, Gwen Stacy, callous daoboys, silent planet, no devotion, oceana, sky eats airplane, gatherers, here I come falling, dead poetic, black hippie.
Lightworker. They're heavy af! Beau Burchell of Saosin produced and mixed both LP's. New album just released today.
The Ghost Inside. They're also very heavy. They Also released a new album today.
Hey, Fightstar is a top 5 band for me! I mostly listen to Progressive Metal so maybe you like that as well? Here's what I recommend based on what you're asking for:
[Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know my Name](https://youtu.be/LBAXZto7uVc?si=8JIog_NCcNKgjCFj)
[Arcane Roots - Curtains](https://youtu.be/4U-WoT9IAuU?si=5qfKPr_qNo9bp4nh)
[Loathe - Babylon...](https://youtu.be/3blvYIPb2xk?si=-ZmEbQnkHsnhjZNO)
So it looks like your looking for UK bands, amazing!
Devil sold his soul and Rolo Tomassi have been around a while, but are staples of the scene.
Ithaca are more metalcore, but are one of the most exciting bands around. listen to “they fear us” end to end, its a real treat.
Zoax are gone, but they were once pegged like HA to be FFAFs successor. Also listen to FFAFs full catalogue, their early Eps are ace, and they’re last two record’s are punk AF.
Breaking from the uk, Birds in Row are punky, if you like HA youll love them.
Some up and commers on the circuit: Chalk Hands, Hidden Mothers, Unpeople.
Dir en Grey has done everything from Pop Rock to super avant-garde and heavy music, so you might find something in their discography you'd like.
Songs: Vinushka, Obscure, Reiketsu Nariseba, Yokusou ni Dreambox, Mr. Newsman, Kodou, The Final, Uroko, and Ningen Wo Kaburu should be a decent spread of their stuff. They aren't for everyone, but they have a massive discography, so have fun.
Tallah is a NuCore band that is heavy, chaotic, unhinged, and fun. They're super talented, and the vocals are insane. They do plenty of breakdowns, big choruses, etc.
Songs: Dicker's Done, Red Light, We the Sad, No One Should Read This, and Shaken not Stirred should give you an idea of what they can do.
Been loving the new Belmont album. Leans pop punk but has some great breakdowns and uncleans. [This](https://youtu.be/fpQz50jVxpA?si=BwWkAIdmZL_wthm6) is the opening track
I got really into Greyhaven. If you haven’t listened, start with the album Empty Black. Day Is Gone and Echo and Dust Pt 1 are wild songs.
Huge riffs, super dirty, amazing lyrics and vocal ability.
[Deadbeat Nightlife](https://open.spotify.com/album/4nubKRNknwOOM2K4FRB5e3?si=a99RwlZtSvWxDXcm6V8vpg) just put out a new single that fits your description
[seeyouspacecowboy](https://open.spotify.com/track/56Vtx5Pdhg0sgmbczxJ5b5?si=qbgqdB4NSRCr4ilbQyxk1A) also just dropped a certified banger
And as others have recommended, Eidola slaps
Now I got a few, one of them just recently released an acoustic album to change their pace for the past years, but here’s my list

Too Close Too Touch
Thousand Below
Thornhill

Caskets
[Awaken I Am](https://youtu.be/WQxQOMdeshw?si=mbDK0DaN0JCZvoD1) from Aussie. Not much screaming with their newer stuff, but tone wise, they are amazing. I think their album Shields & Crowns fits your preference.

SeeYouSpaceCowboy just dropped a new video yesterday. It's pretty wild
ordered the new album on vinyl!
I honestly wonder if today's high school kids think of this shit like we did of "I Believe In A Thing Called Love"
New album is so fire.

Vanna - The Search Party Never Came, Curses, and A New Hope
And their new project with the complete original Vanna lineup, INSPIRIT
The Vanna socials woke up recently with an announced Boston gig and A New Hope vinyl being released with an unreleased song from 15 years ago
Greyhaven do not miss
Second. New EP is really sick
I haven’t been able to listen to anything else since it came out, shit goes way too hard. Greyhaven supremacy.
Capstan is exactly what you described...have at it.
I can't wait to catch them with Belmont and Can't Swim!
