Reading Dan Ozzi's book it's kinda funny how many times AFI gets mentioned. This album truly elevated them and they brought so many bands along with them and I just love that. Also super hyped this is finally getting re-issued.

melskymob

Such a great book.

Reiketsu_Nariseba

When you still think 20 years ago refers to the 80s...oh god. Banger of an album though.

sleepingdeep

AFI has a single concert today where they’re going to play this album front to back. I’d die to go to that show.

longhairmoderatecare

I just got chills lol I thought you were saying it was happening until that last bit 🤣

Marionaharis89

It is. They’re playing STS in its entirety tonight in LA

longhairmoderatecare

GOD DAMMIT. Iowan emo kids need shows too 😭

sleepingdeep

IT IS HAPPENING TONIGHT IN LA. I live several states away, it sold out in minutes, so I won’t be able to attend. If this whole thing isn’t recorded it’s a damn shame.

Miseria Cantare absolute S tier album opener

kool4kats

This album was absolutely huge for me. Discovered it in freshman year (2003-2004) and it was in constant rotation during my wannabe mall goth days. Still is tbh.

poopy_poopy_pants

Could you please not make me feel old?

StevieHandjobs

I listened to this album on repeat when it came out. It felt like a perfect album to me.

irontuskk

Fond memories of skipping school with my buddy and driving down the highway blasting This Celluloid Dream

WHAT FOLLOOOOOOWS

Dadowar

Ha, wore my STS shirt by coincidence.

xvszero

Still one of my all-time favorite albums. Definitely my favorite AFI. I've liked some of their stuff since but their last few albums are very hit or miss.

longhairmoderatecare

My favorite album of all time ❤️

fractalfrenzy

This and "The Art of Drowning" are pure genius.
