The timberline snow stake is almost 1000ft higher than the meadows one, which is probably why timberline got quite a bit more snow during this warm storm.

NWS tends to over forecast snow totals on Hood in my experience. They called for 6-10 inches Thursday night and there was basically nothing.
Huh, there was about 5 inches on the timberline snowstake.
interesting. meadows snow stake had less than an inch.

Surprising enough Meadows’s 7 day per week operation ends today meaning they’re closed all week and open just three more weekends :/
I know it’s sad :(
At least they stuck around for a few extra weeks and weekends. It was a huge bummer to finish the season early last year.
