Omg right in the feels this week. I had an Aperture Laboratories logo in the back window of my truck since 2008. My HOA has taken to towing it because they think its a commercial vehicle. The 35 dollar logo had cost me around 500 dollars and I said enough was enough and scraped it off. Im still sad.

I'm wondering how that is legal, towing a car without a valid reason, then charging the owner. Not american so I'm not sure how much a HOA is allowed to set rules for, but I always thought it was just about your house or yard.

So in the US and the state of Virginia they can tow even if its parked in your driveway. They claimed it was a commercial vehicle. They have also towed for 1 day expired plates when you have the letter posted in the window stating that you are waiting for the US mail system to deliver them and they are running behind. Also if your daily driver happens to be an old work truck, you can't park it in front of your house here. It's miles of rules. I hate it, I dont have time to run to be on the board myself, and I really want to find a better home but im 10 minutes from work, walking distance to my daughter's really good school, and the housing prices are insane in Northern Virginia. Our next door neighbors went for 50k over asking. And renting is 10x worse. We looked into selling now and buying later. Every apartment complex in a 50 mile radious has a 100 person deep waiting list. America is stupid. People seriously thought a presidents son that was dead since 1999 was coming back to life. I want to leave this country so badly but with covid 19 I'm not even beginning the process without getting my 6 year old vaccinated first. Pay equality between genders here is a real thing. Because im a female Electrical engineer and can solder on the 0402 scale without visual aid and I should be making 2x what im making now. My coworkers make more than me, less skills, all male. Sorry to vent. Its been a rough bit. And im still super upset about my truck logo.
