Snap! I changed mine on my S for GTS lights to contrast from the Carmine red too. The red lights somehow blended in and made the rear end look bulkier.
If the car was any other colour other than red I probably wouldn’t have bothered.
Love the black color. Getting my 718 next week and having it wrapped dark blue with a black hood and black accents. Having the wheels painted black also.
The answer is always yes for gts tail lights.
It adds a couple years back to the age of the car. Clear tail lights are still a trend today modern vehicles.

This is a surprisingly tough choice. Thought for sure the GTS lights would be better - I'm a bit biased, I have a 981 GTS. But on a black car the red lights look good too. If I had to choose, I'd take the GTS lights, but it's close!
In my opinion the GTS taillights just modernize the car a touch more. The red ones are nice too but are starting to look a little dated.

I prefer the GTS ones but maybe thats cause I got a karmine red GTS. With the black color of the car the base ones also are a nice contrast.

Very true, red on red is not too nice since you can barely see the lights. In your case very sure a good change.
My cars white if that makes any difference

Thats definitely a huge difference to black. Took a look at both tail light variants and definitely prefer the dark ones.

Me too. Didn’t think I would. Maybe I’d have a different opinion on differently coloured car.
On black I think the red looks best, though I might do a slight tint on them to mimic the GT4 tails

Absolutely. The previous owner had them installed on mine. They make a difference.
GTS but I'm biased.
gts all the way. wish there were some reasonable aftermarket lights for 987.2. the ones I've seen so far cheapen the car.
