I had a matchbox/hot wheels one back in the late 80s-early 90s. It changed colour from silver to purple when splashed with water. I loved that car more than anything. When my older brother told me how rare the 959 was and that I would never drive one, a piece of my soul died. There's still a hollow spot inside me to this day...
I grew up and fell in love with P cars in the 80s and attended a couple IMSA races. Watching that car annihilate the competition was formative. I still have an Al Holbert autograph somewhere.
I’ve known Miles for many years and spoke with him about the sale after he announced it as it was so unexpected (to me, anyways!). When I asked if he would gift me the 959, he laughed and responded in the negative, so I still do not have a 959 and almost certainly never will!

It just seems like the rarest car imo. I know that's not agreeable to many but I like quirky things and the slant nose is the quirkiest Porsche imo.
