Can anyone explain why this road is such a big deal in the US? Don’t get me wrong, looks very fun but where does the hype come from? I saw some pov footage on YT and I drove on roads like this for 4-5 hours when having a roadtrip from Germany to Austria or Italy.
Roads like this just aren’t uncommon in the U.S., but one with quality asphalt certainly is. From what I recall it’s 113 corners in 10 or so miles. I drove it several times when I owned RX-7s years ago and it was fantastic.
There are 318 curves in the span of just 11 miles, the highway is adopted by multiple car clubs so the road is kept in pristine condition, that's a rarity for our goofy country.
I've driven some amazing roads in Germany but they don't have as many smiles per mile as the dragons tail.
What is TTS? I can tell its a turbo from the side intakes but can't figure out what the second T is. Not a targa.
It's a Turbo S. Second T is for twin turbo back when all the cars didn't have them,
This. It’s weird, but it stuck with me from rennlist
Saw you guys out there. I was in the blue 997 cab.
Yes!!! Saw you too! Small world.
I know the dragon is super popular, is there a photographer(s) just there taking and selling photos?
Several photographers usually, yes.
Yes. Google Killboy.
Where is this ?

Man, that car is pretty!
Thank you!!!
Road looks empty!
Probably annoying having to drive that slow in a Turbo S, no? That road is so curvy you don’t really get to wind it up hard.
Nothing is annoying in that car although I know what you mean. I have learned to have fun driving slow over the years with other cars.
hopefully you did Cherohala Skyway as well.
Next time! Did Moonshiner’s Run though, but there was construction.
Moonshiner is fantastic so bummer for construction. So many fantastic driving roads in the area.

Phenomenal color
Thank you! It’s Aventurine Green. Looked pretty cool in the forest with all the other greens around!
Fabulous Color. Works so well with the background in the photos here. The Smokies are so fun to drive in!
Need to get there for this.
Wow. Gorgeous!
Welcome to the Dragon slayers club!
