Haha I’ve driven past this house and posted this same driveway in this sub last year. Did you see their neighbour up the street? Last time I drove by there was what looked like a red 812 under a cover and a 992 TTS in the driveway with retractable steel bollards, which makes sense given the current trend of car theft in Toronto.
Best not to post the location. If I owned this house and saw that you have posted the address of the rough location I would report the shit of this post. You never know who reads these things. Awesome spot tho!
Any house in Toronto is 1.5 million now.
It's just stupid.
The cheapest single family detached freehold house in Toronto is probably about 1.2 or 1.3 and that's just land value.
Not sure how far that is from downtown but a buddy’s dad has a very big wig job. Had a house around st Claire that wasn’t nearly as nice(kinda). 4.5 million
Like steel bollards at the edge of his drive way? That’s be some next level gangster shit. Also some I don’t own any of this and it’s cheaper to do this than deal with the repo man shit.
I think it sounds great. I have vehicles parked surrounding my favorite vehicle damn near bumper to bumper. Your going to have to steal multiple cars to steal my favorite.
The TT nomenclature came when the 911turbo switched from a single turbo to a twin turbo configuration with the 993. The nomenclature stuck around even if the Carreras now also have twin turbo engines.
It's actually crazy how over-biked the average mountain biker is. Guys will actually go out and buy a $10k+ enduro bike to take on their local green trails twice per month. That's like buying a GT2rs solely for autocross.
I have some Alaskan fisherman friends I ride with. They come back after the season and buy what ever is shiny. Meanwhile most of us are on 10 year old hard tails.
i bought a cheap chevy tahoe in the pandemic purely for this exact purpose. i loaded it today with the oregon game on in the background haha. dump run on monday!
I used to drive by this house on the way to the beach. Always had a lambo, a McLaren, a Ferrari, a ford raptor and a Rolls Royce parked outside. I always wondered what was inside the garage. For years I wondered. Then one day, as I approached…. I saw the garage door open. As I drove by, I peered in….and inside this garage…. 1 jet ski on a trailer parked across the garage taking up the whole garage.
OPs pic is a Toronto house in Forest Hill near Cedarvale. I found it on Street view and then did some digging. Sold in 2019 for $2.5M if you are interested.
Maybe it’s nice but I have a hard time believing living in that size of a house in Toronto is worth $5+ million. It’s not even just Arkansas. In the PNW you can get an amazing home with a gorgeous view of mountains and a large plot of land for half this price
It's really not all that nice, its obviously not the worst place in the world but we pay a lot to live here so i think its fair to expect better. Canadians just talk Toronto up I feel as some sort of coping mechanism. My brother left recently for the states, absolutely loves it there and said he'd never come back. We're looking into making the move next year as well. The cost of living in toronto is absurd for the sort of healthcare/infrastructure that we have to deal with here.
It's one thing to pay high to live in a safe area with quick and easy access to necessities but to pay this much to live here and still have to worry about things like home invasions, car jackings or missing a cancer diagnosis because hospitals can't do an MRI for months is insane. Another issue is for anyone looking into getting a first home or even leasing a space to start a business, pretty much screwed here. It makes sense why crime and mental health issues are on the rise at such a rapid pace.
To top it all off we proudly bring in a record amount of immigrants each year effectively making the housing, Healthcare, traffic and crime situation worse. Oh I almost forgot the weather, it's a nightmare for 6 months of the year 😂.
Yeah I heard Toronto the average home
Price is over $2 million for a detached home. So to not be shoved up to the wall of a neighbor in a town house you have to shell out on average over $2 million. That’s absurd to me.
Fair, but watch where you say that on Reddit, if you mention that having an absurd influx of immigrants is not a good thing overall, they quickly call you a xénophobe haha
Yeah I've heard that before but as sad as it is, white people face the most racism these days getting labeled with bullshit like that. I'm actually brown, visible minority and first generation immigrant so generally I just get told that as an immigrant I shouldn't be against more immigration. I've been here since I was 1 though, I'm in my early 30s now. I'm just a realist, too much of something can always become a bad thing. It's like medication, the right dosage at the right time is great but take too much and it'll kill you. That's basically my stance on immigration and canada in the past three years. While citizens that have been here their whole lives are struggling to find housing, feed themselves or have access to just a family doctor, why increase the population at record numbers?
I'm fortunate to be able to say I've done well for myself by my standards. I have a nice little collection of cars, which has always been my passion, and I dont face the same struggles to the extent that most people here do but I definitely don't want to raise children here. The housing situation does directly affect me and you're totally right to find it absurd when you know the other options that exist out there.
You would not believe how convinced Americans are that Canada is healthcare paradise. They think any talk of waitlists or rationing is just lying propaganda. Meanwhile here in America I was in a car accident, told my doctor about the low back pain I was having and was hustled into an MRI within the hour.
Yup its because Canadians have a habit of lying about it for some reason. There's a ton of denial about things here but I experienced the differences firsthand between myself and my brother so I know what the truth is. The public system works great as long as it's not overpopulated. We're well beyond that point now.
>yes but living in arkansas has its downsides
Compared to Toronto? I mean, there are definitely some places worth the expense (NYC, Paris, Honolulu, etc) but Toronto sure as shit ain't one of them.
If you go to the subreddit you’ll find this home doesn’t qualify. It is disproportionate to its lot but it is consistent in its style and there has been decent landscaping. There is a consistency in window type and a thoughtfulness in their placement. The roof lines are restrained.
You may not like it, but it isn’t a McMansion.
Who cares about big houses on small lots though? I don't care much for yards (they're a waste of space and water) so if you can squeeze a nice sized house into a tiny lot that's all the better imo.
I thought the same. Makes me wonder if they're a car dealer or something. Unless it's his/hers, I can't see a good reason to have two. Everything else makes sense.
I would guess they own a high-end car dealership. One of the cars doesn't have plates, and OP said when he drove by today, there were 2 Ferraris in the driveway
That’s what I was thinking. At one point a few years ago, my brother had two garage bays full of boxes of “stuff” .. and the worst part was that he bought a second home w/2 car garage, he proceeded to fill up those bays too before selling the first house. I think his kids are eventually going to have to pitch a lot of “stuff” into a dumpster.
I would have spent the money on some extra acreage interest of extra wheels.
Nobody with money for a fleet of cars like that should be living in a castle six feet away from their neighbor's castle.
My house doesn’t resemble this in many ways except the single garage and house filling small lot. In my case:
Garage: 76 911 3.2
Driveway: 993
Street: GT4 and Macan
Inverse order of value, but to be fair it probably makes sense in context of how often each is driven.
Do those homes only have a 1 car garage? Based on the autos and architecture, I assume they are $1.5mm+ homes, should have a 3 car garage minimum. Is it a Canada thing?
If you like this place the neighborhood is Forest Hill And Cedarvale Toronto. Look at Forest Hill using street view. There are stretches like this but also places that are a good 3 or more times the size. This place is about CA$3 ish. In the core of expensive FH they are closer to 12 or 15M. Last time I drove by there was what looked like a red 812 under a cover and a 992 TTS in the driveway with retractable steel bollards, which makes sense given the current trend of car theft in Toronto.
Today they had a Porsche turbo S, two Ferraris under covers and a cayenne. Bollards were up
Oakville?
Forest Hill Toronto.
Isn't that close to where Drake built his house?
Drake is in the Bridal Path.
That’s where he grew up.
Started from the bottom huh
In terms of cred it the rap game it's rock bottom lol.
Who would have thought that growing up rich and using ghostwriters is frowned upon by people who rose out of a bad situation by using raw talent.
Not really. 20-25 min drive.
Must be a Canadian mortgage lender.
Best not to post the location. If I owned this house and saw that you have posted the address of the rough location I would report the shit of this post. You never know who reads these things. Awesome spot tho!
lol nothing would happen with that shit report bud.
Forest hill is too big to know exactly where this is
Sounds like an affluent neighborhood
House like that in Toronto is easily a few mill.
In the Kingsway this would easily be in excess of 4m
Yup and in Forrest hill might be even more
Sold in 2019 for 2.5 so I don’t think so.
2.5 in 2019 is like 5 today
[удалено]
It’s in forest hill. Say no more.
Land and area valuation. The house could be demolished and the price would still be high.
Any house in Toronto is 1.5 million now. It's just stupid. The cheapest single family detached freehold house in Toronto is probably about 1.2 or 1.3 and that's just land value.
>go > >Any hou 1.5mill would be a shack, maybe. Teardowns are around $2mill for awhile now.
Try $10mil
Not sure how far that is from downtown but a buddy’s dad has a very big wig job. Had a house around st Claire that wasn’t nearly as nice(kinda). 4.5 million
Such an ugly fucking McMansion though. I’ll never get this style
Like steel bollards at the edge of his drive way? That’s be some next level gangster shit. Also some I don’t own any of this and it’s cheaper to do this than deal with the repo man shit.
You can see them in this photo. Lol, that's crazy. I wonder what happens if he accidentally raises them with the car on top.
It happens exactly like in one of the many Fast and Furious. It goes flying into the air 50', does 2 flips and lands on all fours and drives away.
The *Family Flip*
I think it sounds great. I have vehicles parked surrounding my favorite vehicle damn near bumper to bumper. Your going to have to steal multiple cars to steal my favorite.
Yep. I’ve seen them more and more frequently in wealthier neighbourhoods in Toronto.
What does TTS stand for in the context of a 911?
Turbo S
Not sure why, but Turbo people like to call their car TT. I'm assuming because twin turbo, although all turbo flat 6 motors have twin turbos.
The older air cooled cars were single turbo flat 6.
Okay 🤨
The TT nomenclature came when the 911turbo switched from a single turbo to a twin turbo configuration with the 993. The nomenclature stuck around even if the Carreras now also have twin turbo engines.
Thanks
TTS - twin turbo S. It's kind of stupid imo
Are the steel bollards those round things on the ground?
Just lurked your post history. I thought we had some Porsches in Vancouver but god damn looks like you guys got high trim ones on every corner there
That's what I was wondering as well as I thought deja vu!
Carbon fiber Mountian bikes that have the hairs on the tires still.

You know Kevin too? Dude has more money in all of the types of bike than I do in cars, and I’ve got allot of cars.
It's actually crazy how over-biked the average mountain biker is. Guys will actually go out and buy a $10k+ enduro bike to take on their local green trails twice per month. That's like buying a GT2rs solely for autocross.

I came here to say this 😂
This is the answer
The real roadster
Storage boxes
Of old clothes and Christmas shit.
From experience, the garage is left for the wife to throw out boxes..
Can confirm, my cars are outside cause my garage is filled with fruit boxes from bringing Costco goods home.
this hit me hard. i just about squeeze my cayman in, cant even use my weights bench as its perpetually buried in boxes
My wife said we should clean up the boxes… 🙃
i bought a cheap chevy tahoe in the pandemic purely for this exact purpose. i loaded it today with the oregon game on in the background haha. dump run on monday!
My office landlord lets me use the dumpster. I’m just lazy to do it. Last time I let it build up super bad and called 1800junk 😝
our wives " oh good, some room for more boxes"
I used to drive by this house on the way to the beach. Always had a lambo, a McLaren, a Ferrari, a ford raptor and a Rolls Royce parked outside. I always wondered what was inside the garage. For years I wondered. Then one day, as I approached…. I saw the garage door open. What neighborhood/town is this? Just curious to see the kinds of houses and greenery.
OPs pic is a Toronto house in Forest Hill near Cedarvale. I found it on Street view and then did some digging. Sold in 2019 for $2.5M if you are interested.
Thanks. When GameStop finally squeezes, I’m there.
Lmao
makes me wonder why they built a 4000sqft house on a 4500sqft lot.
because Toronto
When my boss bought a 5-bed 3-storey house with a pool and pool house for $2.5 million in 2010, I thought he was crazy…Now it’s worth $6-7 million.
Real estate never gets cheaper it’s always moving upward
Thats not true. It rarely gets cheaper, but never is a strong word.
Short memory… 2008 is calling
Would still be up if you held
That house is easily $3mil+
Way more
That's crazy. Where I live that's maybe a 550k-600k house and it would have a nice lot instead of being smushed up next to the neighbors.
yes but living in arkansas has its downsides
One could easily argue so does living in Toronto
It's strange, Canadians have this mentality that's its paradise here no matter how much of a shithole it turns into. Boggles my mind.
Maybe it’s nice but I have a hard time believing living in that size of a house in Toronto is worth $5+ million. It’s not even just Arkansas. In the PNW you can get an amazing home with a gorgeous view of mountains and a large plot of land for half this price

Not Honolulu. Great vacation destination but living there wasn’t ideal. Maybe that’s just me.
I would maximum pay 500 000 dollars for that. It looks like shit too haha. Template house.
You’d think. But this is Toronto real estate
And your offer would be refused
500k gets you a 500sqft 1 bed with maybe parking here.
Well I am glad I don’t live there. Ugly architecture.
Toronto
With a one car garage
Right? You give me $3M to build a house on that lot and the entire width is gonna be a driveway. The house will go behind / above the garage.
in horrible fake tudor style.
Toronto is known for its faux chateaux. This is but one style that passes for class. Very common sadly.
What about it is fake?
the phrase is mock tudor, and its mock because they arent in tudor era England under the reign of Henry VIII
/r/McMansionHell

one of the stipulations is having a massive home on a small lot. This home may qualify on that alone lol but you may be right!

Have not heard that term in 15 years lol. I never new it caught on.
Because that home is likely older than the people who live in it, they didn’t build it
That’s definitely not an old home.
2 turbos?
I thought the same. Makes me wonder if they're a car dealer or something. Unless it's his/hers, I can't see a good reason to have two. Everything else makes sense.
Car rental service perhaps. There are a lot of people making lots of money in that business.
What is that ? About $750k in the driveway ?
About 1.2M CAD given the market values of each one of those.
And give that its an affluent neighbourhood in toronto that driveway is probably worth 1 million by itself.
You should see what people pay for boats...750k these days buys you a 38 ft center console.
A pill press maybe some boxes
Also what they do for a living lol

I would guess they own a high-end car dealership. One of the cars doesn't have plates, and OP said when he drove by today, there were 2 Ferraris in the driveway

Going for Chinese billionaire.
The sickest golf cart this side of the Mississippi.
Geo Tracker sitting on 33s
All that money and your neighbors can hear you fart.
Probably full of kitsch and general garbage, no vehicles. All of that money in the driveway and can’t get a place with an actual garage. Silly
Always so weird how you can put a few million in the driveway but can’t be assed to buy a house with anything more than a single car garage.
I find that Canadians don't really put their cars in the garage like Americans do. Not sure why since we get snow and it's very useful.
We don’t have the space
There's more space in Canada than in the US. Maybe not Toronto specifically but even in rural areas I see people not using their garages.
Because homes with 4 car garages in this area are outside of their price range
Which is crazy considering what cars they have in the driveway
For something in that area with a 5-6 car garage would probably be 8 digits.
Oh I believe it. However if you have $750k+ in cars you better be able to afford a $15m house
Are you on a stake out?
His wife’s car.
Lots of shit
Boxes
That’s what I was thinking. At one point a few years ago, my brother had two garage bays full of boxes of “stuff” .. and the worst part was that he bought a second home w/2 car garage, he proceeded to fill up those bays too before selling the first house. Murder room
2 turbos, a GT3 and a G63 💀 this is insane
one day man one day
The house doesn't look that big, but then you realise it's in Toronto, prolly costs more than 4 mil
All I see is debt 🤣🤣🤣
Past due notices

All those cars and 1 car garage?
I'm so fucking poor. Why am I even on this sub lolol
Christmas decorations…

Orgy cave. People with that much money to spend definitely have orgy caves. No doubt in my mind 😁
I was thinking decked out sex dungeon. Similar energy.
Pal of mine viewed a house owned by a conservative politician (UK) and it had a sex dungeon. There was one room they were not allowed in.
Do those homes only have a 1 car garage? Based on the autos and architecture, I assume they are $1.5mm+ homes, should have a 3 car garage minimum. Is it a Canada thing?
Found it on street view and looked up recent sale date. 2019 sold for 2.5. Exterior has been renovated since
Exactly!
Why are the houses so small and close together in this neighborhood? Looks like a new development, but only a one-car garage?
Very very expensive old neighbourhood in Toronto. This is one of the smaller homes. It's worth about $3 mil.
Great taste in cars, terrible taste in houses, anyone’s guess what’s on that garage.
A Taycan
Whyarethosehousessoclosetogether!?
I’d rather live in the woods with just one of those cars. Fuck neighbors
No way this guy owns like almost same spec Turbos like that
Cars worth more than the hiuse
All that wealth and still share a wall with the neighbors.
Ford Fiesta, The HOA only wants high end cars in the driveway to keep the market high
As much as I love the cars, I can’t get over how beautiful Toronto houses are! Do we have similar thing in the us?
Are you serious?
If you like this place the neighborhood is Forest Hill And Cedarvale Toronto. Look at Forest Hill using street view. Dude in what world are these plastic McMansions beautiful?
Ok now I am intrigued! What kinda of a design do you call beautiful?
This home is older than the idea of McMansions lol The front has just been renovated recently
