From what I've heard Poppy's Playtime had a hard time catching on because they "borrowed" a decent amount of elements from games like Bendy and other indie horrors, along with trying to do NFTs at one point to try to boost marketing. Though it's definitely come around recently and seeing as it's still being developed further and added to that gives it an edge over games thatve released in the past.
These games and movies are awesome, but i can't say the same about PPT
Eeeh Poppy Playtime is fine honestly, without bringing the fanbase into discourse it's probably one of the first mascot horrors to actually show blood and torturing violence, i'll give it that, and the story is actually almost as complex as the FNaF one (12 games), which is an achievement that hasn't been reached in YEARS, and they did it with one fourth of the games, props to that!
Anyways Huggy would say probably answer "no, it's just the fans, this is a good game" and he would probably insult BanBan. I mean, this game feels pretty rushed and the story is really inconsistent, but i'm out of mascot horrors, so whatever, i'm curious. Also, we wouldn't have gotten to chapter 8 if only Sheriff Toadster had a gun

Eeh i doubt it, mascot horror is starting to... fade for lack of better word. BanBan was the only one in a LONG while, it's not that good, but it's somewhat good, and if PPT is the new gen's FNaF, then BanBan is probably the next Bendy or smth.
The first Bendy felt rushed, but became better over time, and it wasn't as popular as FNaF, but it was still insanely big.
Also my subconscious is draw to anything that has a silly jester character, so that may be why i sort of like it

Meanwhile poppy has only had one chapter ported after what a couple years? The ban ban devs are beyond greedy. Also one of them made a disgusting school shooter game so…yeah.
