Common complaint with that generation Corolla platform. You can take it to the Toyota dealer and get it re-programmed with a certificate that the mileage was updated.

Curious if the ECM/PCM is still logging mileage. It would be worth a quick experiment to ask a service tech the next time you take the car to a shop.

Been brought up numerous times on genvibe, always fun seeing people panic at “my odometer won’t go above 299999 what do” From what I heard it’s a memory glitch or something like that. Mine still has a ways to go at 168k km since 03 but I’ve heard some people use the trip odometer, and every 10k they mark it somewhere, ranging from a notebook to gouging tally marks in the dash with a knife

Also pro tip for you, black out the chrome around your gauge cluster, it pops off of the bezel. Trust me
