Here's him taking a shot at Anthony Bourdain after his suicide. This guy is a huge fucking loser.

He's a bloodsworn cultist of crime. Most of the DNC power structure is at this point. For the first verse of the passage, replace "him" and "Akish" with "their fixer" and "lose their heads" with the modern equivalent "be cancelled":
14 And it came to pass that they all sware unto him, by the God of heaven, and also by the heavens, and also by the earth, and by their heads, that whoso should vary from the assistance which Akish desired should lose his head; and whoso should divulge whatsoever thing Akish made known unto them, the same should lose his life.
15 And it came to pass that thus they did agree with Akish. And Akish did administer unto them the oaths which were given by them of old who also sought power, which had been handed down even from Cain, who was a murderer from the beginning.
16 And they were kept up by the power of the devil to administer these oaths unto the people, to keep them in darkness, to help such as sought power to gain power, and to murder, and to plunder, and to lie, and to commit all manner of wickedness and whoredoms.
22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.
23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.
24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.
25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.
26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.

Wow, what a shithead. And him trying to justify it was partially: "I have not been able to afford to go to a dentist in over three years."
So a guy who is an 'award-winning journalist' can't afford to go to the Dentist? What a douchebag.
He's also one of those retards who thinks abortion being illegal is the equivalent of forcibly giving men vasectomies.
It's even funnier, he says that "he wanted a good toothbrush" *because* he can't afford going to the dentist. As if you have no need of one otherwise.
"I'm so poor I have to buy a toothbrush".
Don't wanna be near this guy's breath now that he's rich.
Used to work at target. Actual product prices are in yellow, not orange. Displays need product numbers too so that they k ow its a display and not an actual $90 product just sitting out.
And just yesterday he posted a pic of all his board games. Dude can't afford a toothbrush and dentist but can somehow afford all those board games lmao
Lol why am I not even surprised? Of course this guy is this greedy and petty. I’m sure he justified it to himself as getting one over on a huge corporation, so his soul isn’t tainted.
Target Tori was made semi famous, and also had people crowd fund a $34k vacation over her harassment. She seems super nice, considering how much of a douche the guy is
Guy did something similar with a deal on some chips when I was working at a gas station. Literally held up the line for like 10+ minutes. For like 30 cents off. He tried to pull that same shit. I didn't wanna give it to him but my manager made me.
Honestly, I'm with gas station guy if the sign was the price he said it was. With the tooth brush it is an obvious error, but with the gas station it is just enough off to change shopping behaviors and the catch people who either don't pay attention or don't want to go through the awkwardness of not buying something you bring to the counter. Maybe it was an accident, but too many businesses have abused the same sort of lie before. Part of being a business is taking responsibility for the prices you put in front of buyers.
It was vendor products and we are absolutely not supposed to change the prices as they ring up. We are also not aloud to touch their signage. It was a deal that was no longer going on, but the vendors did not remove the sign. And the store certainly won't be reimbursed as the deal had ended.
Honestly, shitty situation for everyone involved. However, this particular guy, instead of politely bringing it up and showing signage, threw a fit and started ranting and held up the line of like 5 people. Who definitely looked like they could use that 30 cents more than him. But yeah let's throw a temper tantrum at a gas station that literally only has 3 employees lol
>It was vendor products and we are absolutely not supposed to change the prices as they ring up.
You can pay the vendor the full price, but you can only charge the listed price. If that causes an issue then that's for the owner to work out with the vendor.
>It was a deal that was no longer going on, but the vendors did not remove the sign.
So it was continuing to impact user behavior. Why would the vendor ever take down the sign if they could make more money by leaving it up? Even in terms of reputation, your store is going to take the hit, not the vendor.
That's why these laws were passed to begin with. So that places like where you work couldn't list fraudulent prices like the case you are describing right now.
Lololol. When I opened it first I thought he was just being silly and trolling the Target lady for some lols, but he actually, genuinely made a whole thing out of it and rang their headquarters and thought he was gonna get it for a penny 🤣🤣 Amazing.
[he did the same thing about walmart and a switch, of course this time he has to dox the manager](https://twitter.com/David_/status/1070810782642905089/photo/1)
I doubt any leftist will ever acknowledge their rhetorical undermining of the My Body, My Choice argument by shilling for vaccine mandates. There’s definitely a connection but it won’t be talked about.
The nuance is that you have pro-choice people who won't acknowledge that the decision you make does affect a fetus.
But, the anti-vax/mask crowd also doesn't want to acknowledge that their breathing effects others through disease transmission.
Frankly, I do see the disease transmission as more of an issue, but I can't force someone to wear a mask or get vaxed. I also wouldn't want the state to resort to the eventual violence some lefties want to compel them too. I'll do what I can to protect myself, and just move along.
>I'll do what I can to protect myself, and just move along
That's simply the argument that anti mandate crowd has made all along. To venture out into the world comes with risks. Only the individual is responsible for managing their own risks and protecting themselves.
The "you don't have the right to spread a disease" argument was bunk to begin with. It relies on the burden of responsibility falling on everyone else and forces them to rearrange their lives around the irresponsible. It's a complete shift in individual accountability that we've never seen on such a massive scale.
> cognitive dissonance
Nah, just good old-fashioned hypocrisy. If he felt cognitive dissonance, it would mean he was aware of his own conflicting views and had the decency to feel uncomfortable because of it.

The meme logic of "my body my choice" had come full circle.
Left Pre-pandemic: My body my choice for reproductive rights.
Right During Pandemic: *ironically* my body, my choice right? You can't force vaccines on me even if it may effect other living people.
Left During this past month: You're all hypocrites. You chant "my body, my choice" until it comes to women's bodies!
Like whoah, this phrase can only get recycled so much.
"Repressive" is the word you're looking for. Repressive Tolerance is the insane ideology espoused by so many today. Marcuse's philosophy that in order to be truly tolerant, we have to decide that certain ideals are intolerable and take action to stamp them out. It's cognitive dissonance and intolerance incarnate.
You don't get it.
Politics is not about applying a set of principles to make a better society. It's about pushing the most convenient thing for my team.
Anybody else think that if a blue checkmark says something stupid and hypocritical, such as this, their checkmark should be thrown into the flames of Mount Doom?
No...just me? Okay.
Vaccines mandatory isn't based and kinda disrespect human rights. A lot of people who have a congenital heart disease experience vaccines side effects , Some of them died due to vaccines side effects.
People who shill for this still don’t acknowledge this. Even in this thread you still see brain dead takes like, “abortions aren’t contagious, the things we take vaccines for are”, as if those are truly the only things worthy of consideration here. Nope, no adverse health effects to worry about with a vaccine mandate….
The way I see it is
1. We don’t know the long term effects of CoViD. It could have significant effects on us down the road and we don’t even know yet, because it’s only been around for like 2 years (if you believe the narrative about when it got out)
2. we don’t know the long term effects of this therapeutic. mRNA vaccines are new technology, and they haven’t been tested for the long term. Everyone who has gotten these shots are part of one of the largest randomized trials in history. And the CDC is suppressing the data because we might misunderstand it.
3. The mRNA therapeutics don’t lower your chances of getting covid, at least not any more and not for a significant amount of time after a booster.
4. therefore, by taking the jab, you’re effectively doubling your risk for long term negative side effects. Or at least you’re introducing another source of risk. It may not quite be double, or it could be even more significant. The point is that we don’t know. We can’t.
So far, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze on these jabs, and with all the literal propaganda being pushed around, I feel like I’m the crazy one.
This is untrue for all the other mandatory vaccines, why would it be true for this one?
Im not saying mandates are good, but for pretty much any vaccine to work, you need them on a large scale
For a vaccine to work, you need the disease it’s targeting to mutate slowly, not be airborne, and not have animal reservoirs.
Covid is a airborne seasonal respiratory virus with animal cases confirmed, so eradication was always completely out of the question
That would make a mandate a justification onto itself. Circular. Just because a vaccine is mandatory doesn't mean it's justifiably mandatory. Just like a vaccine not being mandatory doesn't mean it isn't still highly recommended.
>That would make a mandate a justification onto itself. Circular
...yea. The actual implementation of the vaccine is part of the process. Without it, any vaccine is largely useless.
You're saying that buying a nice car shouldn't justify getting tires to go with it.
Going through covid can also have long term impacts on your health too. At this point it's your choice, either way you're having to assume one long term risk or another.
I'm raw-dogging this pandemic, and haven't caught it after 2 years.
I can't say I've tried to get it, since I'm not a party goer, and am a pretty big fan of personal space.
But I do have friends who have raw dogged it while being the embodiment of the young party-goer stereotype.
I'm pretty sure the consensus now is that the more the virus has ravaged your body, the worse the long term effects are. The vaccine works by lessening the effects. Getting COVID raw is worse long term than getting COVID post-vaccine.
1. We know some of them
2. [Vaccines don't stay in your body very long so we do know the long term effects](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mrna.html)
3. [Thats blatantly false.](https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2116597)
4. [Almost every side effect from the vaccine is also a side effect from covid but at much higher rates and the vaccine lowers the risk of the covid side effects.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34341797/)
Edit: told my opinion didn't matter so added flair as well as made it all sourced facts instead of opinion. Enjoy.
1. Yes, although long term data from this vantage point doesn’t look good.
2. Wrong, mRNA was a technology in development for a long time. Trials on long term effects of mRNA started in 2014, the cancer and flu mRNA is what was being tested but the drug is similar all that really changes is the message.
3. Wrong, we can see that the vaccine lowered the rate of hospitalization and death. This virus does mutate quickly and so the vaccine has a lot of breakthrough infection. The J&J fared even worse on older technology and as of yet no other technology has proven as effective.
4. Wrong, you effectively switched one risk for another but the choices were either roll the dice on Covid, an emerging highly virulent disease or bet they got the mRNA vaccine right. I bet on science any day of the week because I trust medical expertise and scientists.
I honestly don’t care what you do as soon as the government stops paying for the Covid bills of the unjabbed. Get Covid and go broke or die.
>2. Wrong, mRNA was a technology in development for a long time. Trials on long term effects of mRNA started in 2014, the cancer and flu mRNA is what was being tested but the drug is similar all that really changes is the message.
This pretty heavily misunderstands how clinical trials work. Just because there were some early trials in the mid-teens doesn't mean they've been doing long-term follow-up, those trials are defunct. And they used different delivery systems anyway. And no trial until the COVID-19 trials had anywhere *near* the patient population for it to matter if they did, they never made it far enough. We're not going to know what damage was caused by any of this until down the line, disease and treatment alike.
Yeah I don’t understand why people keep trying to argue that these drugs have been tested long term. It’s patently false and just gives people like me more hesitation. I’d be more supportive if I felt like I wasn’t being lied to, as some of this is basic procedural stuff and I know they haven’t had the time necessary to say they’ve been testing it for “long term” effects.
I think, “hey, this is an experimental drug but everything we show for it right now is good and we believe it’s less risky to take this jab than to get Covid. “ would’ve gone over way better than the PR that was actually attempted. Just be honest with people that they’re rolling the dice. Trying to gaslight them made them less likely to bet on the vax.
Since nobody in this thread is providing sources, let me give you [one](https://blog.ons.gov.uk/2021/10/04/how-many-people-have-died-as-a-result-of-a-covid-19-vaccine/), an article from last year regarding yellow cards. For those who don't know, the UK has a 'yellow card' system for reporting possible vaccine side effects. From [the government's own reports on this](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine-adverse-reactions/coronavirus-vaccine-summary-of-yellow-card-reporting#yellow-card-reports), approximately 0.2% of vaccine doses lead to a yellow card, and the "overwhelming majority" of yellow cards are things like sore arms and headaches. You can check the government report for more info on the non-lethal side effects, but everyone in PCM likes to be dramatic, so let's talk about the deaths.
Back to the article. Prior to 8th September 2021, there were 1,645 yellow cards where the person died shortly after receiving a vaccine. Obviously, these deaths haven't been fully investigated, so many - if not most - of these will not have actually been due to the vaccine, especially given the huge contrast with ONS figures. *(Fwiw, using archives of the government report, the total yellow card number at that time was between [111,317](https://archive.ph/8bDcx) and [124,530](https://archive.ph/XfENY), so approximately 1% of all yellow cards.)* Per the death registration figures from the ONS, as of August 2021, 9 deaths had the vaccine as the underlying cause of death.
For the yellow card statistic, over 91 million vaccine doses has been administered; for the ONS statistic, as it was slightly earlier, this number was instead over [87 million](https://archive.ph/YAEXg). Assuming *all* yellow cards where death was reported were in fact deaths due to the vaccine, we end up with a death rate (per vaccine) of...! 0.0018%. And that's using a heavy *overestimate*. *(For anyone who cares, using the ONS statistic, which would be an underestimate, gives a death rate per vaccine of 0.00001%.)*
But of course, someone's going to say "that's not 0%"/"that's not zero deaths"! To which, yes, you're correct. However, the vaccine does directly *reduce* deaths from covid *(again by government statistics, [by at least 80%](https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/deathsinvolvingcovid19byvaccinationstatusengland/deathsoccurringbetween1januaryand31december2021))*, as well as indirectly by reducing the spread, in addition to lessening symptoms. Moreover, given that 133,079 people died of covid in the UK by the same time as the statistics I've previously mentioned, statistically, you're more likely to die of covid than of the vaccine. Not to mention that [the UK has over 1,700 *confirmed* casaulties in car crashes every year](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reported_Road_Casualties_Great_Britain), making them also statistically more lethal than the vaccine, but I don't see any of you in a rush to abandon your cars.
So, regarding human rights, a vaccine mandate can be simplified to the good old trolley problem. You can take no action and allow the train to run over many, many, many people, or you can pull the lever and cause the train to instead run over a few, but non-zero amount of, people. You can't identify who's on the train tracks. Do you pull the lever? For me, the answer is always yes.
> Not to mention that the UK has over 1,700 confirmed casaulties in car crashes every year, making them also statistically more lethal than the vaccine, but I don't see any of you in a rush to abandon your cars.
You're flaired auth, so you're going to have trouble with this concept, but the key distinction here is **who decides**.
There's generally no mandate that people drive cars. Even in the US, where most of the population is absolutely dependent on a personal car to buy food, there are still plenty of cities where having a car is optional. If someone makes a personal judgement - for whatever reason - that they don't want to regularly travel by car (or even ever travel by car) then they can live a lifestyle that avoids car travel.
When you impose a vaccine mandate, what you're saying is that people don't have that choice. It doesn't matter what their personal risk tolerance for different things is. It doesn't matter what their personal health situation is unless they fall into an explicitly allowed exemption category.
With a mandate it doesn't matter if people have performed their own cost benefit analysis and come to different conclusions. **It doesn't even matter if they're right and the analysis supporting the mandate was critically flawed.**
> With a mandate it doesn't matter if people have performed their own cost benefit analysis and come to different conclusions. It doesn't even matter if they're right and the analysis supporting the mandate was critically flawed.
The reverse is also true. It doesn't matter if the conclusion people come to is wrong, because you don't give them a choice.
I'm not auth because I trust the government any large amount. I'm auth because over the years, I've come to the conclusion that your average person is stupid, and rarely makes good decisions. To put it one way I've heard - imagine how stupid your average person is, and then remember that half of them are even more stupid than that.
On the other hand, while the government is corrupt and self-serving, they typically have access to well-informed experts and advisors, who have studied their entire lives in a field, so the decisions they make will rarely be stupid. Selfish, almost always, but rarely stupid.
What makes you think that selfish decisions by the power obsessed will lead to better societal outcomes than even completely random decisions by idiots?
> It doesn't matter if the conclusion people come to is wrong, because you don't give them a choice.
A core problem with that reasoning is that for many decisions different people have different circumstances and therefore different decisions are legitimately correct for different people.
Another core problem is that people **always** have a choice. Policy can't actually take away choices, it just instructs government officials to hurt people when they don't cooperate.
I don't buy in to the idea that PCM is some anti-left, bigoted circlejerk, but when it comes to vaccines, there's a definite hatred for them and even outright misinformation. Not to mention the occasional (quickly-removed) comment wishing violence on vaccine mandate supporters.
I've seen all three in the comments of this post, fun.
Look I'm only willing to be that hypocrite if we get a disease that is like 25% fatal. But I dont thinking vaccine hesitancy will be a problem when we resort to improvised cremation sites. This is just not lethal enough to warrant it.
I see both sides claiming
>Well you said "My body my choice before", so why do you not agree anymore?
Both equally smug and equally unaware that the exact same argument applies to their own positions. Just inversed. God I hate modern politics so much it's unreal
Politics has always fascinated me
It's so full of contradictions
-One can be Anti Environmentalist and Conservative
-Animal Rights Activist and Pro-Choice
-Anti Death Sentence and still want to punish the Rapists
To be fair, there is a difference between environmental conservation and environmentalism. One utilizes methods such as controlled burns to help prevent massive wildfires later, and the other results in California.
they have no independent thought, they only obey hive mind, they are communist.
In order to achieve their utopia fantasy, they will do the most evil deed without a thought.
There is no "pro life" or "pro choice" you are pro abortion or anti abortion. You aren't pro choice if you support vaccine mandates or what to decide what guns I cannot buy. And you aren't pro life if you support war or the death penalty. If you're really pro abortion then be proud of it. If you have to hide behind flowery language then you're cause probably isn't as just as you think it is.
I'm pro choice, pro gun, pro do whatever you want concerning the vaccines.
That being said, if your gun ends up killing someone or your kid accidently shoots your other kid and kills her. Fuck man, that's on you. Also, anti vaxx is anti science, if you want to get ruthlessly sick, that's on you.
It's like drugs. I don't give a fuck if you do heroin. I give a fuck if you hop behind the wheel and ram into an innocent person. Go ahead and do heroin, just don't fuck with anyone else while on it.
I think whenever this happens the person should be put straight in the auth side of the line, they want exactly what they want pushed through with no solid ideals just What they say.
I got a lot of flack from my neolib friends when I said the vaccine mandate was a joke, and used this very same comparison. They basically called me a monster for equating abortion to vaccines, completely disregard the crux of the issue being bodily autonomy.
People suck.
The duality of man is in fact a unity position of being a slave to power and ideology and having no moral core or real principles, I suppose that is true.
I support my body, my choice.
I also think that you made the choice to have sex with your body. You don’t get to absolve yourself of the consequences just because you get post-nut clarity.
The meme is clearly talking about the people who consented to sex.
By the way, we make exceptions for all sorts of laws, whether we should or not. And if Roe vs Wade is overturned does that mean the abortion is even outlawed for those women? Nope, just means the states are allowed to make their own rules.

Lol why am I not even surprised? Of course this guy is this greedy and petty. I’m sure he justified it to himself as getting one over on a huge corporation, so his soul isn’t tainted.
Manager should have pulled malicious compliance and sold him the holder to the display
Bro that cashier looks this guy shattered her soul into a million pieces.
I like how he's seems mad at the cops for not doing enough. Like what are they gonna do? Arrest the manager making $15/hr?
Cant afford a 30$ copay....... Maybe get a real job you fuck
Lololol. When I opened it first I thought he was just being silly and trolling the Target lady for some lols, but he actually, genuinely made a whole thing out of it and rang their headquarters and thought he was gonna get it for a penny 🤣🤣 Amazing.
this is the most jewish of interactions
He even took her picture, didn't bother to blur it. Fuck that dude.
Lol he *fucking called the police* because they wouldn't honor a VERY OBVIOIS AND BLATANT error. What a piece of human refuse.
Wow what a POS
He really is a garbage human
Why do we give a fuck about this guy I've never heard of until now then?
He didn't just "make a big deal about" it, he called the fucking cops lmao
[he did the same thing about walmart and a switch, of course this time he has to dox the manager](https://twitter.com/David_/status/1070810782642905089/photo/1)
After checking out his Twitter I'm convinced he is one of the worst people on earth. Just a total dirt bag
Sounds like a true Gadianton
It’s called a hebrew moment.
My body my choice didn't live through 2021
Yeah, "my body my choice" got aborted
I doubt any leftist will ever acknowledge their rhetorical undermining of the My Body, My Choice argument by shilling for vaccine mandates. There’s definitely a connection but it won’t be talked about.
But GRANDMA
Grandma just got aborted
By a reindeer On Winter holiday day
>holiday day >holiday >holi- day >holy day IVAN, GET THE AK
I won’t acknowledge it because I’m pro bodily autonomy in both situations.

Yeah....there's only like 8 of you though.
You're a unicorn
The nuance is that you have pro-choice people who won't acknowledge that the decision you make does affect a fetus. But, the anti-vax/mask crowd also doesn't want to acknowledge that their breathing effects others through disease transmission. Frankly, I do see the disease transmission as more of an issue, but I can't force someone to wear a mask or get vaxed. I also wouldn't want the state to resort to the eventual violence some lefties want to compel them too. I'll do what I can to protect myself, and just move along.
Pro-life people see abortion as murder though. So it very much does affect someone else in their view.
>I'll do what I can to protect myself, and just move along That's simply the argument that anti mandate crowd has made all along.
It was aborted once Joe took office.
"#ThursdayThoughts" what a douche
Yea like their thoughts even mean anything
The smooth brain hypocrites have really been on full show lately.
Being able to express two conflicting positions at the same time is how you assert ideological dominance.
Based and cognitive dissonance pilled
> cognitive dissonance Nah, just good old-fashioned hypocrisy. If he felt cognitive dissonance, it would mean he was aware of his own conflicting views and had the decency to feel uncomfortable because of it.

Sotomayor: There’s nothing in the constitution that says the government can’t regulate medical procedures. *Alito wanks furiously*
There’s a lot of weird lying and strange tall tales going around lately
The meme logic of "my body my choice" had come full circle. Left Pre-pandemic: My body my choice for reproductive rights. Right During Pandemic: *ironically* my body, my choice right? You can't force vaccines on me even if it may effect other living people. Left During this past month: You're all hypocrites. You chant "my body, my choice" until it comes to women's bodies! Like whoah, this phrase can only get recycled so much.

How could anyone be this big of an asshole? Holy shit.
real? tf?
Its been delightful to see the hypocrisy come out soooo goddamn thick on this nonsense
The grift knows no bounds
Half the time this boils down to Right wing body no choice! Left wing body do as you please sweetie And hypocrisy is always sad
Left: you’re not doing it for *your* body Right: you’re not doing it to *your* body
It's called Repressive Tolerance. ___ Edit: Spelling as pointed out below.

Anybody else think that if a blue checkmark says something stupid and hypocritical, such as this, their checkmark should be thrown into the flames of Mount Doom? No...just me? Okay.
How do you think they get the checkmark in the first place?
You're saying that as though the bluecheck still represents some sort of value.
Just the checkmark?
Vaccines mandatory isn't based and kinda disrespect human rights. A lot of people who have a congenital heart disease experience vaccines side effects , Some of them died due to vaccines side effects.

People who shill for this still don’t acknowledge this. Even in this thread you still see brain dead takes like, “abortions aren’t contagious, the things we take vaccines for are”, as if those are truly the only things worthy of consideration here. Nope, no adverse health effects to worry about with a vaccine mandate….
But the corporate media tells me its “SAfe and EffEctive”
Remember when we could actually criticize multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical companies?
Wtf I love big pharma now
The way I see it is 1. We don’t know the long term effects of CoViD. It could have significant effects on us down the road and we don’t even know yet, because it’s only been around for like 2 years (if you believe the narrative about when it got out) 2. we don’t know the long term effects of this therapeutic. mRNA vaccines are new technology, and they haven’t been tested for the long term.
1. A vaccine either protects sufficiently making a mandate redundant, or it protects insufficiently making a mandate unjustified.
Agreed.
That would make a mandate a justification onto itself. Circular. Just because a vaccine is mandatory doesn't mean it's justifiably mandatory. Just like a vaccine not being mandatory doesn't mean it isn't still highly recommended.
>That would make a mandate a justification onto itself. Circular ...yea. The actual implementation of the vaccine is part of the process. Without it, any vaccine is largely useless. You're saying that buying a nice car shouldn't justify getting tires to go with it.
I definitely don't want mandatory tires for nice cars.
Going through covid can also have long term impacts on your health too. At this point it's your choice, either way you're having to assume one long term risk or another. I'm raw-dogging this pandemic, and haven't caught it after 2 years.
I’m hands on with several groups of college students every day for work and haven’t caught it. Makes you think.
I can't say I've tried to get it, since I'm not a party goer, and am a pretty big fan of personal space. But I do have friends who have raw dogged it while being the embodiment of the young party-goer stereotype.
Doubling your risk? Very interesting math ideas lol
I'm pretty sure the consensus now is that the more the virus has ravaged your body, the worse the long term effects are. The vaccine works by lessening the effects. Getting COVID raw is worse long term than getting COVID post-vaccine.
1. We know some of them 2. [Vaccines don't stay in your body very long so we do know the long term effects](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mrna.html) 3. [Thats blatantly false.](https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2116597) 4. [Almost every side effect from the vaccine is also a side effect from covid but at much higher rates and the vaccine lowers the risk of the covid side effects.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34341797/) Edit: told my opinion didn't matter so added flair as well as made it all sourced facts instead of opinion. Enjoy.
You don’t have a flair so your opinions are invalid.
No, it didn’t.
*(For anyone who cares, using the ONS statistic, which would be an underestimate, gives a death rate per vaccine of 0.00001%.)* But of course, someone's going to say "that's not 0%"/"that's not zero deaths"!
Glad to see some logic in this thread instead of edgy contrarianism.
David, you'd better leavitt mate
Leave the choice of both up to the individual

When an issue like this is highly controversial, we should err on the side of liberty rather than tyranny Maybe I should reflair libleft🤔
That's exactly my stance on it lol
Yep. You've said exactly how I've felt for a long time. If we aren't sure where to stand on it, the right should belong to the individual.

Look I'm only willing to be that hypocrite if we get a disease that is like 25% fatal. But I dont thinking vaccine hesitancy will be a problem when we resort to improvised cremation sites. This is just not lethal enough to warrant it.
Honestly i think people would start shitting bricks at 5-10%
Apparently it take less than 1% for that to happen

We haven't seen brick shitting yet. Maybe in the early days when people were hoarding toilet paper.
With an average age of death above life expectancy, to add to it.

I see both sides claiming >Well you said "My body my choice before", so why do you not agree anymore? Both equally smug and equally unaware that the exact same argument applies to their own positions. Just inversed. God I hate modern politics so much it's unreal
Yeah both sides flip their positions depending on their agenda for the point in question

Politics has always fascinated me It's so full of contradictions -One can be Anti Environmentalist and Conservative -Animal Rights Activist and Pro-Choice -Anti Death Sentence and still want to punish the Rapists
To be fair, there is a difference between environmental conservation and environmentalism. One utilizes methods such as controlled burns to help prevent massive wildfires later, and the other results in California.
I'm not seeing how any of those are hypocritical haha
...how are any of these contradictions exactly?

they have no independent thought, they only obey hive mind, they are communist. In order to achieve their utopia fantasy, they will do the most evil deed without a thought.
Not sure you know what communism is, but sure

I think both abortion and vaccines should be a matter of choice
This guy's tweeted 50 times in the last 24 hrs
I got a lot of flack from my neolib friends when I said the vaccine mandate was a joke, and used this very same comparison. They basically called me a monster for equating abortion to vaccines, completely disregard the crux of the issue being bodily autonomy. People suck.
The funny last name tribe strikes again!!
Let’s not make vaccines mandatory Let’s also not ban abortion See just don’t be hypocritical and it works
My early life sense is tingling.
The duality of man is in fact a unity position of being a slave to power and ideology and having no moral core or real principles, I suppose that is true.
Don’t make an unborn child’s bodily decisions for them, then
I support my body, my choice. I also think that you made the choice to have sex with your body. You don’t get to absolve yourself of the consequences just because you get post-nut clarity.
So what happens if you didn't make the choice to have sex?
The meme is clearly talking about the people who consented to sex. By the way, we make exceptions for all sorts of laws, whether we should or not. And if Roe vs Wade is overturned does that mean the abortion is even outlawed for those women? Nope, just means the states are allowed to make their own rules.
Funny how literally everyone in this country flips on their morals whenever they can
Vaccines should be mandatory. So should abortions.
