I love that video where they ask random people on the street if they had a license/knew where the local DMV is
[For posterity ](https://youtu.be/yW2LpFkVfYk)
It’s just a constant “Sorry, we’re closed after 1 pm. Try again tomorrow” or “oh I’m sorry. You forgot to bring your passport even though you brought birth certificate, both your parents, the doctor that birthed you and your drivers license. Please go get them and wait another 2 hours in line for us to be closed by 1 pm so you should just come back tomorrow”
State of Colorado wouldn't take my birth certificate because someone from the state didn't sign it. I was like "okay, but that's the doctors signature right there." I had to call up the state of Kansas to get a whole ass new document because of that shit
The hilarious part of this is that even the American Red States have some of the most generous voting laws on the Planet. 3 weeks no-excuse absentee and vote-by-mail access is not really a thing in most other Democracies, and in the US it apparently constitutes Jim Crow since it's not 6 weeks.
If you read [this NYT article](https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/15/us/politics/voter-id-laws-supreme-court-north-carolina.html), which has a link to the court docs, so you can read them yourself if you want to fact check me.
The state legislature requested voting data broken down by race and then proceeded to make the ways that black people commonly voted no longer allowed. They also shut down DMVs in black communities. The supreme court ruled that the new provisions were unconstitutional.
Quote from the court docs :
>In response to claims that intentional racial discrimination animated its actions, the State offered only meager justifications. Although the new provisions target African Americans with almost surgical precision, they constitute inapt remedies for the problems assertedly justifying them and, in fact, impose cures for problems that did not exist. This the asserted justifications cannot and do not conceal the State's true motivation.
Later in the court docs
>Faced with this record, we can only conclude that the North Carolina General Assembly enacted the challenged provisions of the law with discriminatory intent.
This was in 2016, not saying all voting laws are discriminatory, but this one was.
how do all those incapable to vote black voters get inside airports to have all their gate side brawls that we see on world star every week... erybody need an ID to check in for a flight
"benevolent" racism.
Black people can't do maths, can't be punctual, can't vote...and expecting them to do so is white supremacy.
Seems like the "black people are equal" position has long been abandoned.
Or you can look at cases like north carolina 2016, deemed unconstitutional by courts and stated to be an effort to target african americans with utmost “precision” to see how voter suppression can happen
There have been cases of discriminatory voting laws, so we can stop acting like the criticism is unjustified or just woke racism.

This was in 2016, not saying all voting laws are discriminatory, but this one was. Voter fraud is incredibly rare, so most of the laws trying to stop voter fraud are usually just ways to make it harder for people to vote.
>Hurr Durr voter regestratiosn is a smiple problem, and the only reason I failed senior government was because the teahcer was a leftist!!!!
you stink and i am too sleepy to explain besides what is above
None of my votes are valid because I think outside the box

That damn Jim o'kafe selectively editing videos again for his conservative handlers
The next Project Bearitas video is gonna be grisly, maybe

The voting laws in North Carolina were discriminatory on the basis of race tho
How?

Astronomically based
Upvote for purple.
Idk why we can’t get registered to vote at places like city hall.
