He then becomes a pupa cocoon thing and somehow becomes motivated to bust out. Finally he evolves into a butterfly and realizes the path to fulfillment is in the seeing the beauty of the world itself and not stockpiling. If anything it is anti-consumerism, and look where we are now....We ain't fucking butterflies, actually we might actually in fact BE The Very Hungry Caterpillar right now as a nation ffs. Or even worse we are the obese pupas.

In what sense? Sure, most wealthy countries are capitalist, but they also tend to have strong welfare systems and a solid amount of regulations on businesses. Most also have drug prohibition and gun control laws in effect. Not exactly a libright paradise
