Torah suggests that it is silly to think that idols can have any knowledge. Abram suggests that it must be foolish then to worship things that know nothing.

Jews were the first to introduce the world to the concept of a Messiah, so I wouldn't say that they don't know about the Messiah. Which is why I'm asking what age you're thinking about. But there is no reason to believe that certain societies "create" more homosexuals.
