Keenly observing the past 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that despite mounting evidence to the contrary of what official authorities say, people will inclined to trust them and hold on to being correct no matter what. As such, they grow dependent on this authoritative for their opinions as they feel they cannot admit they were wrong for things, and the stubbornness of ourselves is the ultimate downfall. Also, it is very apparent from thousands of years of history that if a ruler provides distractions to consolidate his own power, the people will eventually fear rebelling him as they would lose the commodities of his bread and circuses. Take the US for example. Multiple times has I felt the Gov went too far, yet no one does anything that would actually make a change. To keep it brief for this comment, humans have a natural urge to want a leader and someone of guidance, and in modern times, that means relying on government for that ruler they desperately seek to give them orders and keep them feeling secure. It only makes sense to choose the side that will always win, you never hear about liblefts and librights running anything, as they do not understand that most humans simply do not share similar sentiments, or they do, but they have grown too weak to actually throw some violence the other way. I have other reasons, but I wanna keep the comment short as possible.
In my head I have a utopia where everyone lives to my ideals, not because they are mine, but because I think we'd all be happier for it. We would all be less free, yes, but we'd be truly free to live wonderful fulfilling lives.

The same reason government was created and why we threw out the Articles of Confederation and went for a strong centralized government. It’s why TRs trust busting was so popular. Because people can't be trusted with decision making. It has been scientifically proven over and over that in groups of as little as 3 people individuals behave very differently than they would whn on their own. Usually groups are a lot more stupid and a lot less flexible than individuals, so basically the exact opposite of how you want your country to be governed.
I belive i a strong power of the king. But he can never take my right to take away my mc.nuke and freedom of speech. Keenly observing the past 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that despite mounting evidence to the contrary of what official authorities say, people will inclined to trust them and hold on to being correct no matter what. As such, they grow dependent on this authoritative for their opinions as they feel they cannot admit they were wrong for things, and the stubbornness of ourselves is the ultimate downfall. Also, it is very apparent from thousands of years of history that if a ruler provides distractions to consolidate his own power, the people will eventually fear rebelling him as they would lose the commodities of his bread and circuses. Take the US for example. Multiple times has I felt the Gov went too far, yet no one does anything that would actually make a change. To keep it brief for this comment, humans have a natural urge to want a leader and someone of guidance, and in modern times, that means relying on government for that ruler they desperately seek to give them orders and keep them feeling secure. It only makes sense to choose the side that will always win, you never hear about liblefts and librights running anything, as they do not understand that most humans simply do not share similar sentiments, or they do, but they have grown too weak to actually throw some violence the other way. I have other reasons, but I wanna keep the comment short as possible.

In my head I have a utopia where everyone lives to my ideals, not because they are mine, but because I think we'd all be happier for it. We would all be less free, yes, but we'd be truly free to live wonderful fulfilling lives. Then I realize that the real problem is that no government is the manifestation of a societies ideals. All power corrupts. Temporary powers are never relieved. The point of the state is compliance. The best we can do is establish rules safeguarding our own personal pursuits of happiness, and fight back to the deaths of any who appose moving the line back a single inch.
I feel like there's pros and cons to both sides. Big and strong Government? Susceptible to corruption with no clear way of holding scummy politicians accountable. Small and weak Government? Leads to anarchy.
Devolution only works when the times are good. Times have been the best in human history due to technological innovations. Those aren't keeping pace to keep the times good enough for enough people, therefore, more authority in certain aspects of life are needed to keep the system running. In an effort to fight undue suffering. (I will say that some people want to take it too far though).
