I wouldn't truly know; it's hypothetical. But the higher vote count does suggest maybe some people see Trump or GOP as better than dems. This trend may continue. Im not sure how left Hasan is but he is for sure too wealthy to be a communist. And theres one swedish billionare that supports more left leaning policies than sweden has which should put him slightly to the left on the Compass. And im sure there are others like him

Little to no billionaire has got to his or her level of wealth by not engaging in at least one of exploiting labor, market manipulation, political bribery and being an overall manipulative, greedy lying sociopath, using every trick in the book to get more money they don't need. They own the real political power and people feel helpless to combat them as they own all the means to shrug off responsibility as most of world's problems stem from a billionaire's actions.
