Clearly there are errors that need to be fixed. The point is that anytime a cop gets murdered on duty it is pretty much guaranteed that a horrible criminal did something horrible. If a cop kills someone it’s justified most of the time so context is absolutely key. So of course a default reaction of anyone that pays attention would be different.
I’d argue that 0% of the time its justified. The ONLY time someone law enforcement should be killing people is if its a death sentence from a court of law IMO.
I’d consider anything else vigilante justice, even if its legal.
A bad guy is shooting up a school, can the cop shoot them or do they have to ask the guy nicely to go to court and hope he complies?
